Spacious & Elegant Cottage - Located in the Turtle Beach Area

Why the Owner Chose Village at Turtle Beach
We first came to Kiawah together in 2001, looking for vacation property that was within a one-day drive from our home in Chagrin Falls, OH, as we have two Wirehaired Pointing Griffons (Roxie and Lamar) who travel here with us. We fell in love with the natural beauty of the island and the town and resort's commitment to conservation. The low country of South Carolina is a very special place to us.
The Unique Benefits at this House
We have been coming to Kiawah for 10 years and always look back on each visit wishing we had done more exploring. Charleston is only 40 minutes away, Beaufort is 90 minutes, and Savannah just a couple of hours, yet it seems we never want to leave the island because there is so much to do. Some day we are just going to have to force ourselves to do it. There is so much fun stuff down every side road, let alone the beauty and charm of the towns and cities. Now, about the food...
Owner's Map of Village at Turtle Beach
We are Marta and Matt Harrison. We love to play golf, fly-fish, and cook. There is no place that compares to Kiawah and everytime we come for a stay, it gets harder and harder to go home. One of these days, we just might not leave.

Last week our family had a terrific time at this house. It enabled four generatons to have plenty of space and lots of time to play games at the large dining room table. In addition, both the pool and the beach were easy to reach. One unexpected highlight was spotting a 8-10 foot alligator in the pond behind the swimming pool. We plan to return to this same location for more fun and excitement next summer.

The pictures don't do this house justice - it is beautiful and huge! It was very close to the beach and the pool; we were able to walk and carry our 10 month old to both without worrying about a stroller or a bike. Highly recommended!

Location of this house is excellent. The beach was VERY short walk away. Neighborhood is quiet family atmosphere. We played games on the back screen porch every evening. The home is clean, spacious, easy living, plenty of room for all of us. Kids especially enjoyed our daily bike rides over bridges across lagoons to look for swamp critters! My favorite spot was the porch swing with a mug of coffee.

Our extended family enjoyed a fabulous restful week in Kiawah at this beautiful home. The location on Kiawah Island cannot be beat! It was an easy 1 minute walk with our 10 month old to the pool and an easy 3 minute walk to the beach. We enjoyed biking on the many miles of trails at Kiawah. We loved our evening bike rides on the beach as we watched the sun set! The photos of the home on the VRBO website do not do the home justice. It is much more spacious and open than the photos depict. There is a spacious master bedroom on both the 1st and second floor along with two additional bedrooms. The kitchen is well appointed and we enjoyed the used of beach chairs included at the property. The home is clean, tastefully decorated and perfect for our extended family of 7. The owners were responsive and very accomodating. We had a perfect week!We hope to return year after year!!!

Clean, close to the beach; quiet street. The owners take care of the property and really want you to have a good time. Several trails cross within a few feet of the property. So you can walk or bike anywhere. Nice to have the master bedroom on the second floor. Just one bedroom and bath. The other bedrooms are on the first floor. There's a nice little park behind the house for letting the dog play. I recommend it highly.
