In April my husband and I traveled for the first time to Paris and rented Caulaincourt Classique for a week. I had researched renting a place in Paris for a few months visiting various websites and reading copious reviews as we were a little concerned about renting a place from someone we don’t know and sending a large amount of money in advance to hold the reservation. From the outset when we finally decided to rent from Feels Like Home In Paris it had more to do with the excellent reviews of Yetunde Oshodi and her helpfulness than it did the apartment itself. We could not have been happier with our entire experience in Paris. We do not speak any French and so the learning curve is quite steep when you arrive and haven’t the faintest idea how to do the things you take for granted at home. This is where to my mind renting from Feels Like Home In Paris stood head and shoulders above any rental companies we have ever used before. Upon arrival we were met by Yetunde and given a lovely basket of treats and a bottle of Champaign to celebrate our anniversary. Even more helpful was the on-line information we used every day to navigate, select restaurants and plan transportation. We were even given a number of useful guides and maps to help us along the way. The apartment itself was very clean and comfortable. The lovely French windows open onto a somewhat busy street during the day but we found that watching the daily activities was very enjoyable. In the evening and at night the street was really very quiet. We slept very soundly (it probably helped that we walked 8 to 10 miles a day) and never once heard the neighbors. The washer and dryer were efficient and the shower was fine. The toilet was quite tiny by our standards but we did not care. It was clean. The kitchen is modestly but fully equipped with good cooking tools. Le Creuset cookware, real wine glasses, some sharp knives and a good functional coffee maker – I was perfectly happy to prepare a few small meals that we enjoyed sitting at the table pulled up to the window to watch the French world go by. One of the best things that we appreciated were the AMAZING wine and cheese tasting offered to guests of Feels Like Home in Paris. We enjoyed our evening so much and the most beneficial thing as a visitor beyond the actual tasting is the wealth of great information and tips provided by Yetunde, her chef husband Eric and the others who were helping that night.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

Recommended for: Families with teenagers.
Owner response: Very happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with Feels Like Home in Paris. We look forward to your next trip. I wish I could equally respond in German. : )

My husband and I chose this apartment for our 20-anniversary trip to Paris. It exactly matched the romantic vision I'd been harboring for the last 5 years or so. A beautiful, tree-lined Parisian street with all the hip cafes and patisseries one could desire. The apartment is newly renovated, comfortably-furnished and loaded with amenities--air-conditioning, TV, internet, phone, laundry, full bath etc. Easy metro access, bus-stop outside the door, sparkling cleanliness and a well-organized and executed rental experience from Yetunde and her associates at Feels Like Home in Paris. This one is a winner!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+.
Owner response: We always enjoy being part of our guests special occasions in Paris. So happy to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. And we look forward to your next trip.

We loved this apartment. It has everything you could want - comfortable beds, fully equipped modern kitchen, perfect location in the fabulous Montmartre neighbourhood. Very spacious as well for Paris. There was even a welcome basket to get us started. Literally every thing you could need is right outside the door - fabulous restaurants, bakeries and fruit sellers. There is a bus stop steps from the apartment and the Metro is just up the street. When you arrive you are provided with an excellent orientation and left with comprehensive guide to the apartment, the area and tips for visiting Paris. And to top it off, there is a complementary wine and cheese at the Cook'n with Class cooking school just a short walk from the apartment. Who could ask for more! I hope we will be able to return again soon - it was a truly memorable experience.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: So happy to read that you enjoyed your stay and it was a pleasure for us to get an opportunity to get to know you a bit in our informative though informal cheese and wine class. See you again soon.

Caulaincourt Classique not only met my expections, it exceeded them--except for the bed. It was definitely king size in width, but seemed very short in length. Perhaps it was all the wonderful pillows that took up the extra space. Everything was great, especially having a washer AND dryer in the apartment, since we were there for 2 weeks. If you don't speak French, like my husband and me, you'll be very thankful for the instructions in English that are found in the very thorough booklet for the apartment. Rue Caulaincourt, the street, has endeared itself to both of us. The butcher, the Boulangerie (bread store), the fresh fruit and veggies, the Patissierie (bakery), the Chocolatier--all of them were a few steps from the apartment, and the Metro station was about 1-1/2 blocks away. We found great shopping on the street, and for a really great view of many neighborhoods of Paris, ride the #80 bus that stops right outstide the apartment building. The street guide in the apartment was very helpful when trying to find connecting bus routes, metro routes and train routes. There were plenty of restaurants within 2 blocks, but the one we found to be our favorite was across the street from the apartment, at approximately 64 Caulaincourt. They had the best hamburger and fries, great music, and wonderful drinks. In fact, I haven't had a burger that good in the States since I was a child. Since I love to cook, and took a cooking class at "Cook'n With Class" which is a 15 minute walk from the apartment, I found the apartment extremely condusive to preparing lovely meals. This came in handy since our son is now living in Paris, and we were able to entertain he and his friends in comfort, and were able to share wonderful meals as well. This apartment truly felt like a home away from home. To throw open the lovely French windows and view the greenery on the street, and watch all the activity of the neighborhood was invigorating. If we can make it back to Paris, this will be our home away from home once again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers.
Owner response: They are absolutely right that the bed at the time of their stay was 5 inches smaller than the American king size. We have since changed the beds however and have two twins 90x200 cm that fit together to make a king size of 180x200 cm. All in all very happy to hear that their stay was enjoyable. This apartment is a particular favorite of anyone who likes to cook.

We loved staying in Caulaincourt! A great apartment in a great neighbourhood. No Paris hotels for us anymore! We stayed here with our two children. It is very comfy to go 'home' after a long day. The welcome was really warm. It was like we stayed with friends, but without the friends. We loved, and we will be back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+.
