Blue Ridge Mountain View- SC Oconee-Lakefront- HS Internet

This spectacular Lakefront Vacation Home is located at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains, in the mountains of South Carolina. We are in Tamassee - between Lake Jocassee and Keowee to the east, Walhalla and the Chattooga River just west, and Cashiers just to the north. Relaxing at a great lakefront retreat, enjoying Clemson Tiger football, and hiking, white-water rafting, and exploring, are all convenient and nearby.
This top shelf home is located on a beautiful, private, 320-acre, boatable lake with a large private dock, swimming area, and a nice view of the South Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains. The home has Direct TV and Verizon internet (via aircard). With the internet, it is easy to find out where things while you are there. This is a great family vacation rental home for both the active group and the 'kickback and relax' family. The home is very fully equipped and is very upscale, yet casual.
We are on Lake Cherokee, a true hidden gem, but there is not much published on this lake. Email us for more information.

Dear Marc and Sharon, We had a wonderful time at your lake house. Your home is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The kids enjoyed playing pool and ping pong. My son loved canoeing on the the lake with his dad. They even caught a few fish. My daughter and I enjoyed shopping in Seneca and Highlands. I would have been content just to sit and read on your fabulous screened porch. There's so much to do and see in the area and we ran out of time so we'll definitely make plans to stay again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is well layed- out for a large family group. Marc is very responsive to any questions we had, and Lake Cherokee is a wonderful size for a quiet stay at the lake. The shallow sandy entrance is great for young children and those unsteady on their feet.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had seen pictures on line and knew this was a beautiful home but, "in person", it exceeded our expectations! My daughters were at Lake Cherokee for my wedding that took place across the lake at my fiancee's lake home, so much of our time was spent here. However, the girls liked this home so much that they are very seriously considering renting it for a week later in the summer. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for .... beautiful, spacious, clean, great views, pristine lake....and more... We gave it five stars but would give it six if we could! !Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This lakehouse provided us with one of the most memorable vacations we have had. The pictures online were very accurate, but the house itself was much more impressive. It was very clean and well maintained. We had three families staying in the house and the layout of the house was perfect for all of us. The kids loved hanging out in the basement playing ping pong and just having their own space. We spent our days fishing on the lake and just floating around in the warm water. We spent a day whitewater rafting which was one of the many highlights of the trip. The weather couldn't have been better and we were able to take in some of the sights of the local falls and scenery. You can't beat the quietness of the lake in the early morning hours and the beautiful sunsets at night...it was a truly relaxing vacation. Thank you Marc for allowing us to stay in your home. We hope to return next summer and do it all over again!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with young children.

we had a truly wonderful time. we enjoyed sitting on the dock with our vodka and tonics watching all the boats go by. We played alot of ping pong the only down side was the floats were damaged so we could not take them out on the lake and we did not bring water shoes to walk in the water off the steps before going into the deep part of the lake. We will be looking for another place next year same time frame and will keep you in mind. Thank you again for the great time. we had a truly wonderful time. we want to give Marc a special thanks for allowing us to bring our dog Ms. Raven who had a blast. For an old girl she was a champ climbling the water falls and all the hikes we took her on. we enjoyed sitting on the dock with our vodka and tonics watching all the boats go by. We played alot of ping pong and Raven was our ball catcher. the only down side was the floats were damaged so we could not take them out on the lake and we did not bring water shoes to walk in the water off the steps before going into the deep part of the lake. We will be looking for another place next year same time frame and will keep you in mind. Thank you again for the great time. The pictures (although nice) do not do this place justice. Breath taking views and upgraded amenities. It was wonderful. Open floor plan, with rooms for everyone. Great family setting and nice quiet lake. From the dock, canoes and lake to the pool table and indoor setting. The perfect family get away. With so much located near by. Boat and hike at Joccasse, climb Table Rock, explore the dozens of waterfalls. The list is endless. Planning a repeat for next year. THANK YOU for the use of your lovely house. Sincerely Scot A.
