The apartment is located in the centre of Cannes, just 50m from Rue d'Antibes (the main shopping street of Cannes), 250m from the Palais de Festivals, 250m from the beach, 250m from the old port and 200m from the train station connecting Cannes with Monaco, Nice, Antibes, Juan les Pins and other popular beach resorts along the French Riviera. Rue Buttura is a quiet street with little or no traffic day or night therefore you can get full benefit of the roof terrace (not overlooked) which gets sun from 11.00am until sunset each day. Visit the boutiques on rue d'Antibes, browse in the nearby markets of Forville and Gambetta, have a coffee or light lunch in da Laura around the corner..... There is something for everyone in the family to do within easy walking distance.

About the owner: Born and raised on the East coast of Ireland, I am married with three children. I am a chemical engineer and I currently work for an international building materials group. I love to travel as part of my work and, of course, for holidays. I am living in Ireland although during my career I have lived for extended periods in the UK, France, Zambia and Ukraine. Currently spending a lot of my time in Eastern Europe.
Why the Owner Chose Cannes: Being a wine lover I have always enjoyed holidaying in France. A friend bought a place in Nice in 2005 and this brought my attention to the unique attractions of the Cote d'Azur. Cannes is a more compact town and is easier to explore on foot than Nice. It has great shopping, beautiful sandy beaches, wonderful restaurants and much more. This property stood out as being particularly suitable for our family of two adults and three (growing) children. It has lots of room for everyone to flop out and do their own thing both indoors and outdoors on the large terrace upstairs. Since 2007 we have holidayed here each year in June and September and otherwise we try to get down here for weekends in May and October with family and friends.
