Welcome to our family lake house. A very comfortable place to enjoy the Northwoods with exceptional privacy on a beautiful lake. Three bedrooms with one king size bed, one queen size bed and one bunk bed. Now with an updated kitchen which includes new countertops and a dishwasher. Hi-speed wireless Internet is also available for your use.
Located on Gilmore Lake, a "class A" musky lake. Seven miles from both St. Germain and Minocqua, near County Highway J. Great panfish and bass fishing off the pier. This lake is well known for its excellent fishery with little fishing pressure.
Relax in this spacious single story home situated on a level lot with 500 feet of lake frontage. Walk a few steps to the shore and pier. there is a 40 foot "L" shaped pier for docking your boat. A 14 foot aluminum boat and a 4 passenger paddle boat are provided. A swing set for the kids is on the property along with a horseshoe pit. Fire pit at lakeside.
Renters are greeted by our caretaker, Eddy, on their arrival day in order to have a walk around and answer any questions that may arise. He is on call for you 24 hours a day! Rest assured you are in good hands.

Why the Owner Chose St. Germain
This is the most peaceful spot I have found in the area. It is so very close to all the local resources but gives total privacy. Staying here provides the feel of what the Northwoods used to be but having all the modern conveiences.
The Unique Benefits at this Lake House
Being on a piece of land that is bordered by State Forest on one side and a vintage 1900's full log cabin on the other (not even visible through the forest), the total sense of being "one with nature" washes the City blues away.
Bald eagles, deer, loons, woodpeckers, blue herons, etc. are commonly seen from the house, outdoor deck or while sitting at the end of the pier.

An email from a renter July 2008 Hi Bob, Thanks for following up with us~we had a great time! It's unfortunate we had to come back to the hustle and bustle of Chicago! Some feedback: cabin was extremely clean and organized and it smelled good when we walked in the door (not like a musty cabin as some do). It is a huge selling point for us that your cabin was equipped with bikes, swingset, fishing boat, paddle boat, video games,wireless internet, and linens. We loved sitting by the firepit at night overlooking the lake! Nice touch! Of course we would have loved the use of the pontoon, however, I understand the liability involved! We loved the note from Bradley about feeding the pet fish everyday. They were happily taken care of by my two boys! Thanks for a wonderful experience in the northwoods! Jennifer

An email from a guest, June 2008: Hi Bob, Back in Alaska after a wonderful trip; the house on Gilmore Lake is quite special to our family now, as we spent fun=filled days there, even though not as long as had hoped; the granddaughters had many experiences that were new to them--boating with their Dad on a fishing boat with an outboard, actually catching fish, feeding the "pets" dockside, hearing the loons and frogs; the two eagles on the point across the lake posing atop the pine in all their granduer; horseshoes, a campfire on the last night and a black bear strolling through the back yard {walked between the outhouse and the big stone} the morning we left; quite a punctuation mark to our stay! We took one morning and drove about the area--Eagle River-Three Lakes and I was so glad to find it really hasn't changed all that much in a few decades:) The hummingbirds were quite happy there and so were we; A very special time and place! Just wanted you to know we appreciated it!
