Welcome to our condo located in the heart of beautiful Grand County. Situated at the base of Sol Vista, we are also only minutes from Winter Park, Lake Granby, Rocky Mountain National Park, and the town of Grand Lake. Year-round recreational opportunities are abundant with 4 championship golf courses, 2 ski areas, mountain biking, hiking, and fishing all close by.
The condo has been beautifully furnished and is ready for you to use. The master bedroom with queen bed, guest room with two twin beds, loft with sofa sleeper, and living room with sofa sleeper, combine to easily sleep up to 8 guests. Beautifully furnished with hardwood floors, tile, and carpet, this unit provides a comfortable and rustic retreat. Sit out on the deck and enjoy the views of the Never Summer Mountains and Headwaters Golf Course. Snuggle up in front of the gas fireplace, relax in the nearby hot tub, or watch a movie on TV. You will feel at home during your stay here.
Summer months are wide open for many recreational activities. The golfing opportunities are phenomenal with Headwaters, Grand Elk, Pole Creek, and Grand Lake Golf Courses all nearby. Mountain biking trails can be found right outside the condo or take the Sol Vista chairlift up the mountain with your bike and connect to a regional trail system. Rocky Mountain National Park has miles of pristine hiking trails. Lake Granby has over 40 miles of shoreline and offers excellent fishing and boating. The Fraser River is known for quality fly-fishing. The historic town of Grand Lake provides excellent choices of restaurants, shopping, art shows, and brew pubs. Sol Vista and Winter Park both host major music concerts during the summer.
The winter months are based around snow sports. Sol Vista Ski Basin, within walking distance, provides a fun atmosphere for family skiing or boarding without the long lift lines. Winter Park Ski Resort is more challenging for the serious skier or boarder and has a free shuttle service. Snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, dog sledding, and ice fishing are all just minutes away.
Granby Ranch is one of Colorado's best kept secrets. We hope you enjoy your stay here and we are sure you will not be disappointed.

Why the Owner Chose SolVista
We've always wanted a cabin in the Rockies. We enjoy skiing, hiking and boating and fell in love with the Kicking Horse condos in the SolVista Ski area. We are 15 minutes from Rocky Mountain National Park for hiking and Granby Lake, Shadow Mountain Lake and Grand Lake for boating. Skiing is next door at SolVista or 15 minutes away at Winter Park if you want more thrills (as our sons sometimes do!). We wanted a place with a view and are always awed by the mountain scenery when we lounge on the deck.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
The hot tub is great after a day on the slopes or trails. Lounging in front of the fireplace with a good book and watching birds at the feeders on the deck is as relaxing as it gets.
There are great resturants in Granby, Grand Lake and Winter Park as well as at SolVista.

We picked Sol Vista as a ski vacation this year because we had younger and inexperienced skiers/snowboarders with us. Love the location so close to Winter Park but prices are much more affordable. Kicking Horse condos are very upscale, nice amenities with the hot tub nearby. Our condo was pleasantly appointed and had MAGNIFICENT views. We enjoyed coming in at the end of the day to the cozy fireplace! The layout worked well for us! We had 4 kids along and everyone had a nice place to sleep.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

We had a wonderful summer family vacation in Colorado. The condo is very nice and spacious (4 adults and 4 kids in our group), great relaxing view, and centrally located to ride the alpine slides at Winter Park, white water rafting on the Colorado River, 4-wheeling in the mountains, and hiking and horseback riding in Rocky Mountain National Park. Great trip and place to stay while on vacation!

We just returned from a weeks stay at this Kicking Horse Condo at Granby Ranch (07/09). The condo was in excellent condition and suited the needs of all 7 of us! The view from the balcony has been mentioned in other comments, but I must underscore the beuty of the area and the view from the balcony. One of my best picures of our vacation was taken from the balcony in the evening. The view of the mountains and the colors of the landscape were amazing! We were in perfect proximity to do things in Winter Park, Rocky Mtn Nat'l park, white water rafting, and by the end of our stay I was wishing I was a mountain biker. Looked liked a great way to keep fit and see the beauty of the area. I would highly suggest taking time to vacation in this area and stay at this condo. Very reasonably priced for what it has to offer!

Our family stayed at this location at Kicking Hourse Condo in August of 2008. We absolutely loved the condo and it location. We were able to be at Winter Park or Rocky Mountain Nation park in just a few minutes. The condo itself is beautiful and has all the amenities you will need for your family trip.

This condo was wonderful. The views were spectacular and the lay out of the condo was great. The owner even has food available in case you forget something and they offer it to their guests (a first for us). We would definitely recommend it.

Had a great time at this condo right before New Years! Very comfortable for 2 adults + 2 teenagers with enough privacy and bathrooms. It was clean and showed pride of ownership and personal touches. We walked to the Kicking Horse lift and never had to wait in line. Thanks!

We, 7 friends, stayed there for 4 nights. As skiing/snowboarding beginners, 6 of us spent 3 days in Sol Vista Basin. It is only less than 5 mins drive to the ski resort. So everyday we came back and cooked our own lunch. very convenient. And 1 min walk to a hot tub for maxium 6-8 people. The condo has almost everything, cookware, TV, DVD, games, large dinning table, exactly like your own house. For bedding, though maxium for 8 ppl, 5 people would be the best. Inside was too dry, most of us didn't feel quite well about our nose and throat. The owner is also very nice. I called him for how to get into the tub and he was very nice to try to help out, even on a Xmas eve. We will definitely consider this next year if go skiing again.
Owner response:Yes, there are only 5 beds, 2 twins and 3 queens, so for singles who each want their own bed 5 would be best. We do have a humidifier for use of guests to help with he naturally dry mountain air.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children.

We had a wonderful time in Granby. The condo had everything we needed and the multi level layout was great. SolVista is a great family ski area, definitely my kids (ages 8 and 6) favorite place to ski. We look forward to many more ski weekends here.

We had a wonderful time at this condo at Granby Ranch. We were in close proximty to Rocky Mountain National Park, which we enjoyed very much. The condo was very comfortable and was in a good location for us to travel to several nearby towns (Grand Lake, Estes Park, Steamboat Springs, and Winterpark). We would defintely like to come back, possibly during ski season.

We had a wonderful time in Colorado, and this condo is beautiful! The view off the deck is like a postcard. We had people sleeping in all the rooms including on the sleeper sofa upstairs, and everything was very comfortable and clean. The skiing at Sol Vista was very fun (Sol Vista was family-friendly and not crowded)and it was convenient to be able to come "home" for lunch and not have to get a "ski hill" lunch. We will stay here again, for sure.
