"This was our 3rd trip to Eluethera and by far, Nella's Nest was the best value. The house is plenty big for our family of four. 2 bathrooms and 3 bedrooms. Walk outside and you are 50' from the most beautiful peaceful ocean, one could only dream of. 5 stars!!!!"Guest: richard Date of Stay: June 2014 Review Submitted: June 15, 2014View listing
"Our family of 6 rented the main house and cottage for my mom's 60th birthday (4 adults and 2 kids, 10 and 8) and I can't say enough good things about the house! The house had everything you need including beach chairs and towels (which would be pain to pack on vacation but are great to have once on the island). The kitchen had everything we needed to cool big family meals and my husband talked about how comfortable our bed was every morning when we woke up. As other reviewers have said the porch is where you feel the most relaxed. The view, the hammock, the adirondack chairs. It's hard to tear yourself away to explore the island. But for out family the absolute best thing about this house was the cove. The snorkeling was amazing!!!! Just this year we have snorkeled Looe Key in The Florida Keys and Cabo Pulmlo in Mexico and they don't had A candle to this little cove!! We would snorkel in the morning, make a little exposition to other island beaches and then come home and do an evening snorkel. The cove is so protected it was always calm even though the winds were blowing 20-30. Even our 8 year old was able to snorkel and see rays, turtles, grouper, snapper, lionfish, barracuda, eel and so so much more!!! Our week at this house will be something our family will never forget!"Guest: Kerry m. Date of Stay: May 2014 Review Submitted: May 27, 2014View listing
"We absolutely loved everything about Eleuthera and the house. It was exactly what we needed. A real relaxing getaway and vacation. The privacy was key but we also loved meeting the locals. The house, though a little big for just two of us, was perfect as well. We utilized the pool a lot as well as the snorkel gear, paddle board and kayaks that they had on site. Had lots of beach time and some great dinners out, as well as the infamous Friday Night Fish Fry. The property management provided helpful hints, list of activities and information about the island. We hired Pauline Binks to cook for us for about 5 days/couple meals a day. Absolutely wonderful! Jeremy Lewis took us out for a little fishing, snorkeling and good company! We are really glad we picked this place rather a hotel. We would definitely like to come back but maybe with a group of friends. Again the privacy was perfect for an anniversary celebration. Thanks again! We hope to come back soon!"Guest: T Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 24, 2014View listing
"Arriving at Eleuthera was a great experience itself - just a small house which welcomed us. the House keeper John had arranged with a car, which was waiting for us outside the small airport. It took us about 1,5 hour to drive to the house which is situated about 15-20 min drive from Governors harbor. You def. need a car to get there. The house was situated up on the top of the beach, so no worries for the waves to hit the house. Beautiful beach with a few houses. The house itself had very comfortable beds, had pretty much everything you needed to cook. The only con was that the wifi wasn't stable, with all the power cuts that's seems to be going on in Eleuthera. Even though they don't last very long. The house provided us with towels, bed linen, snorkel equipment, canoes (even though it was to choppy for us to go out with small children). Ten bay beach is situated on the other side of the highway and was just the best! So many beautiful beaches on the island - breathtaking! I highly recommend this island if you need some peace, and why not stay at Bahamas Castaway at the same time!"Guest: Sandsasa Date of Stay: July 2014 Review Submitted: August 12, 2014View listing
