  • Fantastic Cruz Bay Condo

"My girlfriend and I had the pleasure of staying in this condo in September 2014. There isn't a better location than this condo and it has everything you need. It is located walking distance to everything in Cruz Bay (Restaurants, Bars, Shops, Beaches and right next to the ferry). The property greeter met us as soon as we got to St. John and was willing to help us with anything during our stay. The staff at Grande Bay was extremely helpful and nice. The condo itself is everything you could ask for. It has a large patio with beautiful views of Cruz Bay, a very comfortable bed and decent sized living space. I recommend this condo to anyone that want to be within walking distance to everything in Cruz Bay!"

  • One Happy Family

"The pictures are tremendous, but don’t give the place justice, as they can’t capture the sounds of the waves crashing against the rocks below, or the healthy wind that blows refreshingly and constantly. A great way to capture the magnitude of the view; we could see the villa clearly while swimming with stingrays at a sandbar the might easily be 10-15 kms away. The beach is truly only a 2 minute walk down a very well maintained path. Long Bay is very nice and while a little busy when the cruise ships are in, is virtually all yours in the morning and by 5:00 p.m. Snorkeling off the beach won’t blow the experienced away, but was still solid fun for the family. Had drinks on Marina’s restaurant deck most days and she and her staff were very nice. Marina was also very responsive and available for arriving/departing and any other questions we might have had through the week. The villa itself was very well stocked. We did a lot of cooking and found any tool necessary. The BBQ was solid as well, with a nice Kenmore 4-burner that reached nice high heats allowing for some quality grilling. Lots of deck furniture, including two large tables. Beds were comfortable in the main house. We didn’t rent the cottage, but had a look inside and it’s a nice option for larger groups with kids. As others have stated, the gardens are expansive and very nice. Dwight the gardener is a great guy. You really should rent a car. Loved Antigua, the people are awesome. You should see the island and the guest book is filled with great recommendations. Every one we followed was on the money. Half Moon and Smiling Harry’s was a classic example of a little risk with tremendous reward. Lisa was a joy to deal with throughout the entire process. We had an absolutely fantastic vacation."

  • Excellent St John house for 4 people - super views, great location!

"We stayed a week with our 2 adult male sons. The layout was perfect for the 4 of us. Our sons had their privacy in the downstairs bedroom. The photos are very accurate. The kitchen is well-stocked. The house has coolers, beach towels, beach chairs - everything you need! The pool deck is nice with great seating and superb views (the pool is quite small, so be sure you realize this if you wanted to spend a lot of time in the pool, this may not be it). The bathrooms are very nice and each have laundry facilities so that really helps - don't bother packing much. The location is fantastic - a 3 minute drive to town, or a short walk if you don't mind the uphill return trip. Jim and MaryEllen were both very responsive and super to deal with before and during our stay! Our only very slight complaint would be the smooshy soft beds with sloppy linens (worn out elastic on fitted sheets that don't stay fitted) and the spotty internet (none in the basement apartment and lost internet at times on the main floor)."

  • A Great Stay.

"All in, we liked Abaco Blue! The property is quiet and private - neighbors were not too far away, but the setting does allow for privacy. The pool is a really nice reason to included this house on your short list. While it's not big (doesn't need to be) it's very, very relaxing and beautiful. The house floor plan is great for two couples. It's open, private and clean. Also, we felt the kitchen was very well stocked for cooking. As well, the grounds were well taken care of and beautiful. A few things worth mentioning: first, the house is advertised as having a washer/dryer (which it does), but the separate building that houses them was locked making them unusable for us - a really big deal because we all packed with the expectation of being able to wash our clothes one time. Secondly, the microwave did not work - we suspect it's on the same line as a bad GFI. Lastly (and this is picky) we did not find the beds comfortable, at all. In conclusion, this property is one of the coolest places we've stayed on Elbow. Lucayos neighborhood is a very quiet, wooded area of the island and we highly recommend Abaco Blue be included in your search."
