  • relaxing as can be

"Great location for walks with our dog, to town, quick day trips, golfing, wine tasting. Made falling in love with Cambria that much easier. Loved the deck, and the fact that they had blankets set up for use by the back door. We would definitely stay again."

  • Special Place

"My husband and I were spending a week in the San Francisco area and decided to check out the Central Coast. Friends recommended Cambria and we found the Castle here on VRBO. The owner met us with the key and was willing to answer any questions. What a classy place. The owner's decorating style is eclectic, but tasteful. Lots of artwork to enjoy. The home is well-furnished with several cozy spots to relax and enjoy the view. We weren't familiar with the area but wish we had had more time to explore. You need a day for each of the nearby wine producing areas, a day for the beach and a day to walk and explore Cambria. Plus plenty of time to relax by the gas fireplace, in the garden, in the sitting area in the bedroom, etc. The garden is planted with native species that were a wonder to our East Coast eyes. Overall, I cal highly recommend this home for comfort, location, cleanliness, and amenities."

  • Best stay with a gorgeous view!

"My sister and I took my 73 year old mother on a road trip and we chose this year because of its close proximity to places we wanted to visit: Cayucos, Cambria, Paso Robles, Big Sur etc. This location was also half way between LA and San Fran and it worked perfectly for us as we were doing the Pacific drive LA to San Fran. We stayed at the Country House and loved every minute of our stay. The Country House is comfortable, clean, spacious, had the most beautiful view from the living area where you can have your meals - we took our meals outside mainly because it was so peaceful and serene we couldn't get enough of the surrounding. I had a chance to explore the surrounding areas, perfect for early morning runs or even outdoor Yoga. We cooked our meals daily as we are vegetarians and so the little farm was perfect for us, Luke grows the tastiest tomatoes in the entire world - seriously!!. Karen who manages the property is so welcoming, she is genuinely nice and easy to talk to - we loved her!! We will definitely be back for another visit in the near future."

  • Excellent

"This was a very very nice place to stay in Cambria, better than we expected. Probably the most comfortable bed we have slept in. The rest of the cottage had everything we could have possibly wanted. We had a great vacation hiking in Big Sur, tasting in the Paso area, and, walking the beaches. Highly recommended."
