"The house was very clean and well-stocked. I asked if there were a crockpot and rice cooker, and while those weren't at the house, Emma left her own there which we used for our meals, thank you! The location is beautiful, minutes to many sites. We enjoyed watching the waves from the living room window. Our four kids LOVED their very own playroom/bedroom. It entertained for hours. My husband and I enjoyed perusing the many travel brochures and books at the property--not only for California, but many other countries as well. I also loved that the house had a casual feel and I wasn't worried that my kids would ruin anything new or expensive, but at the same time, everything was very neat, tidy, clean, and I wasn't worried about dirt/germs. It was a perfect combination for our family. My husband and I found the upstairs bed to be very comfortable. While the upstairs bedroom doesn't have a door, it has a privacy screen to stretch across the opening, and there is a locking door which blocks off the entire upstairs from the down. We visited four different beaches while we were there and the kids loved them all. It seems that is all they wanted to do, but we still found time for some hikes, Redwoods sight-seeing, lighthouses, etc. It was a fantastic trip and the house was absolutely perfect for us."Guest: Utah Family Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 18, 2014View listing
"Cannot possibly do this home justice in a few words! Clean, comfortable, quiet, roomy, reasonable. If I could buy this house, and move here closer to my grand kids (oh yeah, kids too), I certainly would! Have visited Crescent City many times, this trip was awesome, in part because of this rental, and working with Mary. Would not hesitate to do business with Mary again! Did I mention: clean AND reasonable? Two of my favorite adjectives. Wow! Great experience.!"Guest: Gramma from Kansas Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: August 16, 2014View listing
"This house was everything advertised plus some. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised by how clean and well maintained the house is. The access to the river is amazing and made our week of vacation absolutely wonderful. We have 4 year old twins and the house was kid-friendly while still allowing the adults to relax without feeling we were hanging out in a playroom. The property around the house was full of little trails and areas for us to explore and of course the river was excellent for small boys to throw in their lines to do some fishing. Thanks for sharing your property. We will definitely be back. We have rented several different locations through VRBO and this is definitely our favorite rental to date"Guest: Mayo Family Date of Stay: August 2014 Review Submitted: September 2, 2014View listing
"The location and view are both exceptional! Extremely well furnished for inside and outside activites. Very close to Jedediah Smith State Park and redwood groves. The home is very clean and comfortable and loaded with amenities. Highly recommend, and we will definitely schedule another vacation there. Wonderful experience!!"Guest: Brian S.
