"It's been a couple of weeks since I stayed at this AWESOME cottage and I still wake up every morning with this place on my mind. I visit Plumas county every year because I lived there years ago and I like to stay in touch with old friends and remind myself that paradise does still exist. This time I ended up, unexpectedly, going by myself with my 2 dogs and was concerned about feeling too isolated or lonely but that worry was completely unfounded. The place is warm and charming, with trains going by in the evening, blowing their whistles and temporarily drowning out the sound of the water in the creek. Ceci, the owner, lives on the property and is the perfect hostess--there if you need her but leaves you alone if you don't! I actually only met her once when I arrived but she had left wine (good wine!) with a box of chocolates (very good chocolates!) on the kitchen table and from that point on, everything just got better. I brought a friend over from Quincy to swim (very nice swimming hole) and see the cottage and property and she was really impressed with the place as well--we had a great afternoon. Hiking the Cascade trail was recommended, which was very close and turned out to be the perfect hike (about 2 hours). I had to drive into town to use my cell phone and the internet (the library is great for that), which was the only drawback, since this was a working vacation for me but it was well worth the inconvenience--and there is a land phone at the cottage. I loved this place and hope to go back next year."

"What a fabulous place. Thank you so much. We are a group of friends that met in the California Conservation Corps (CCC) back in the 70's. Every year we get together and reminisce about the old days fighting fires, trail maintenance, fir cone harvesting and campground maintenance. We are always looking for new adventures and this place was perfect. I do believe we will be back again."

"What a great time . All four of us did not want go back to the big city life. The weather was ideal ate like kings and slept so well. Oh yes the fishing was not so good but who cares we had so many laughs ,watched the U.S. open on the monster screen. Dave and Nedra great hosts if you needed anything day or midnight just ask. Why would you get a motel room where for the same price you can rent the whole house. Maybe Dave will take you golfing in his fancy golf cart. Sincerely peachman"
