  • Enjoyable Stay

"We enjoyed our stay. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and spices. The views from the deck and large cabin windows were beautiful. We saw a few dear around the cabin several mornings and evenings while we were there. We walked in to Jean's Coffee Shop and Lake City Bakery several mornings. We ate a few meals out on the deck and played games on the deck. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay. Thank you!"

  • Great time

"We had a great time at this home, nicely furnished and has lots of room. The best place to relax is on the north porch over looking the homes below."

"Our week at Ponderosa Place couldn't have been more comfortable and relaxing! Extremely well cared for home in the trees with everything we needed. Enjoyed the spacious kitchen and living area! Owners have paid great attention to details. Wonderful windows make you feel like you are up in the trees! Loved our time on the deck! Looking forward to returning soon! A perfect place to enjoy family and friends!"

  • Wood Family

"Absolutely the best vacation. Argenta Falls Cabin was perfect. Loved the location, secluded, on the Alpine Loop, yet just 10 minutes to Lake City. Cabin was clean, well equipped with everything you need. Loved the large porch for morning coffee or relaxing after a full day exploring. We hiked Handies Peak, Jeeped the Alpine Loop, Kayak on Lake San Cristobal, Moose stalked at Deer Lakes, Horseback rides at Vickers Ranch, Michael Martin Murphy outdoor concert at the Sportsman Gas Station. Small town filled with so much to do. Will be back again."

Lake City Travel Tips

Experience the Natural Beauty of Southwestern Colorado at the Lake City Cabins

Lake City is a small, southwestern Colorado town located in an open nook between three major national parks: the Rio Grande National Forest, the San Juan National Forest and the Powderhorn Primitive Area. Of course, Lake City is just a few minutes north of the beautiful Lake San Cristobal, among other, smaller lakes, and is a popular tourist destination for adventurers of all shapes and sizes. With Southwest Colorado vacation rentals, skiers, mountain bikers, hikers, kayakers, mountaineers and outdoor lovers can rent one of the beautiful Lake City cabins and enjoy a genuine Colorado vacation without all the noise and clutter.

Lake City is a Perfect Place to Stay at any Time of the Year

Lake City lodging is modern, spacious, and most importantly, versatile. The Lake City cabins are suited to their surrounding environment, and since Lake City is a popular home for mountaineers, Lake City lodging is especially suited for the outdoor adventure lover. However, this doesn't mean that the cabins aren't like little homes-away-from-home, either. They offer full-service kitchens, entertainment centers, linens, and everything else the urbane cosmopolite could desire when he or she isn't summiting Sunshine, Wetterhorn or San Luis.

The Lake City Cabins are Perfect for any Size Group

Vacation rentals are the best way for you to customize your vacation to your particular needs. If you're vacationing with a large group, pick a larger cabin with a more spread-out floor plan. Share the cost of the rental with friends and save some money. If you're going alone or with family, pick somewhere smaller and enjoy your time more intimately. Most importantly, enjoy Colorado!
