  • Bungalow in the Sky

"We had lovely 10-day stay and almost perfect 85F weather. The loft has a wonderful porch looking east -- great place to relax at the end of the day. Lynn, Michelle, Dirk and Junior (the dog) were perfect hosts and made us feel welcome. Great location near beaches and Kailua downtown (especially Whole Foods and Farmers Market). We were able to cook most of our meals -- which made the trip both economical and food-choice healthy. The loft was clean and full of light (lots of windows). Off street parking was available. As the VRBO ad indicates --- you can use the various beach gear (chairs, etc.). Laundry facilities were excellent -- and essential after a day at the beach."

  • Perfect!

"Coming from Germany we had a long trip and when we arrived it was already dark. Waking up the next morning and enjoying the gorgeous view from the cottage we knew it was well worth spending all this time on the plane. The cottage and its location on Oahu is just great. Loved breakfasts on the lanikai overlooking the ocean. I can very much recommend it. We felt very comfortable and at home. Thanks Noni."

  • Amazing Property!

"This property is amazing. A beautiful ocean view as far as you can see and a fabulous front yard with a pool and hot tub to wake up to each morning. The huge gazebo is perfect for eating and lounging about with a cocktail or two. The yard is lit up with pretty lights at night. It really is a great place to relax and enjoy! The home itself is very large with plenty of room and also very lovely. We had 5 adults and 2 children in our group. The kitchen has lots of room and there really is everything you need. The owner was away when we were there, but her sister and mother were there to help us. They were very helpful and very nice ladies. We were sorry that we missed meeting Candis. The town of Kailua is Avery short drive away, about 7minutes or so. They have several good stores to purchase your groceries etc. Lanakai Beach and Kailua Beach are both excellent beaches for families with young children. We had an amazing time staying here and would like to thank Candis for the use of her home. It really is a breathtaking view when you walk onto her property."

  • Stay here. Not at a resort.

"Looking for a place to stay your first time in Hawaii can be intimidating. To choose a resort, or not choose a resort. Don't do it. Stay here instead. This was a great place to stay that is clean and located 5 minutes walking from two great natural beaches. The room is cozy and was great to celebrate our anniversary. There is a grocery store nearby to get snacks and drinks. The main positive is that it takes you away from the thousands of tourists and into a community. You can visit the local arts and craft fair, local market, and do things that real locals do. It also made it easy to drive up the coast to the north shore and experience even more of the island (try Giuseppe's Shrimp Truck). I can't say enough about the room and location. Both were outstanding. Our favorite part was sitting on the lanai and watching the sunrise. The view of the ocean is amazing from here. When (not if) we go back, we will try to book here again. It was so nice that we couldn't help but feel let down when we visited Waikiki one night. Only suggestion: rent a convertible so that you can see the island at your own pace. Everything is easy to find if you have a smartphone, and close enough together that we had to fill up once in the entire week. Thank you for a great stay!"
