  • Just Perfect!

"We rented the house for a week. It's a great home in a quiet and beautiful location. If we're fortunate enough we'd love to return again next year."

  • Outstanding Location!

"We greatly enjoyed our stay at the cottage Sept. 5-13. The cottage was clean and comfortable. We especially loved the private location. The views of the river and castle were beautiful. Rick was there when we arrived and made sure that we had his phone number to call anytime, 24/7. We did have to call him a couple of times and his response both times was quick and the issues resolved. We would definitely stay at the cottage again on our next visit to Alexandria Bay."

  • Beautiful cabin!

"What an amazing weekend get away! While there isn't much to do in the immediate area, the cabin was just perfect for an R&R weekend! The attention to detail was amazing! The view was gorgeous, and the sound of the water was so relaxing! 2 person hot tub was great for a chilly fall night!"

  • Simply Magical!

"Our vacation at Elderberry Cottage was relaxing, restorative and beautiful. I was in a party of six, myself, my husband and our children aged 6, 8, 9 and 10. Each of us was taken with the house and grounds and enjoyed the amenities provided by our gracious hosts. We spent lots of time enjoying the natural setting, kayaking the inlet, fishing galore and hanging out in hammocks or by the fire pit. The location is close to many of the area attractions with convenient access to Boldt castle and gorgeous state parks. The kitchen is well appointed and the grocery is not far at all. In fact, it is amazing how close things are because when you are on Wellesley Island, you feel far from all of the trappings of modern times. The owners were nearby if needed and helpful and even went so far as to provide passes to the Boat Museum, hints, directions and even a lesson on how to filet a fish. The cottage and grounds are immaculately kept with lots to offer in the way of down-home entertainment. You could have a great time without ever leaving the property. This vacation ranks at the top of our "favorites list" and we look forward to revisiting again in the future. That says a lot considering that pleasing six distinct personalities is no small feat!"
