  • Great location!

"This condo was the perfect size for our family of 5. We were right off the beach, just as we wanted. The condo was very clean when we arrived, although the bathrooms seem a bit dated, therefore don't feel quite as clean. The space worked wonderfully, and the washer and dryer were a huge plus! It really felt like home and offered everything we needed for our week stay - nice, bright and sunny! My only real issue was the front door situation. There is no deadbolt and the door nob only feels locked from the outside, meaning it can always be opened easily from the inside. With 3 small children, this was a major concern. We decided to park our double stroller with locked wheels in front of the door to keep the kids from getting out. We did have a couple of maintenance issues (light in kitchen went out, no broom) which were addressed in a timely manner. The people at Resort Quest were VERY friendly, and very easy to work with. We also chose to rent baby gear (stroller, pack n' play and high chair) from a company called Baby's Away. That was also a HUGE added bonus and worked out perfectly. I highly recommend renting from them, they deliver the items to the condo so they are there when you arrive, and they pick them up after you depart. Super easy! Another thing I loved about the condo was the fact that it was nice and quiet. The floors didn't creak so I wasn't worried we were bothering anyone below us, and we never heard any of our neighbors above us or through the walls. This really was such a great stay for our family! Thank you so much!"

  • Perfect condo in great location!

"This is a top notch condo. I am very picky and have stayed in several condos that were not what was pictured. This condo is even better than the photos- seriously. Spotless, well-maintained, high quality furnishings and linens. Plenty of room and privacy. Kitchen had everything I needed and the cookware, utensils, etc. were high quality. Beautiful views of ocean from balcony and an easy walk to the pool and beach. We had 4 wonderful days on the beach and by the pool when the sun was out and it was warm enough. When too cool or rainy, we headed to Charleston for fun. Ate breakfast and lunch at condo daily and dinners out at very good nearby restaurants: Poe's Tavern, High Thyme Cuisine, Acme Lowcountry Cooking, Crave. Gene (owner) was prompt in answering questions and handled this rental smoothly. We had such a pleasant and relaxing week and I plan on renting this beautiful condo again. Thank you, Gene."

  • Good for families

"Loved this house, comfortable, neighborhood pool close by. Easy beach access, and resort amenities well available. Cute beachy interior too. Kitchen had everything you need, enjoyed the evenings after dinner sitting on the screened in porch overlooking the lagoon. Kids sleeping and us sipping cocktails."

  • Loved this Condo and Wild Dunes area!

"This condo and Port O Call area was fantastic! The best part to us was it was only steps to the beach and the beach was not very crowded. We walked the beach early morning and in the evening, found lots of shells and it was just a beautiful beach, which is what we came for. The private gated community of Wild Dunes was ideal. The condo was perfect for a couple and had everything we needed - could not have been more comfortable and Ann was wonderful to work with. It was nice and quiet being an end unit - felt very private. Loved listening to the ocean from the widow's walk or screened in porch. There was plenty of parking close by. Just a very nice area in general. We also enjoyed going into Charleston a few times and sightseeing and enjoyed seeing the boats in the harbor there and took the Ft Sumter tour which was very nice. It was just a great, relaxing beach vacation in a lovely, clean condo. Would highly recommend this condo!"

Wild Dunes Travel Tips

Wild Dunes Lodging Complete with Gazebo

Picture a short wooden pathway that branches off to a pool and gazebo before continuing on down to a private beach and you will be pretty close to imagining what Wild Dunes lodging can offer you. You are not only right on the Atlantic Ocean with Wild Dunes condos, you are also 20 minutes from downtown Charleston, South Carolina with all of its wonderful attractions. It is possible to spend the day at Charleston rentals filling your time with relaxing activities or walking along city streets window shopping.

Wild Dunes Condos near the Aquarium Wharf

Charleston is a fabulous city with historic tours of 18th and 19th century homes. The architecture will amaze you because of the detail and hard work put into each of these historic homes. The entire day can be spent away from Wild Dunes condos as you tour the Aquarium Wharf or old southern plantations nearby. Aquarium Wharf provides you a glance at the world's oceans and waterway systems, educating you on the various marine life species you might encounter on a scuba diving or snorkeling trip. In fact, you might be so excited after visiting the aquarium that you decide to rent snorkeling equipment to use during your stay at Charleston rentals.

Charleston Rentals and the Perfect Fish Dinner

Fishing is possible at Charleston rentals and you can either rent a boat or fish right off the town pier. Wild Dunes lodging options can help you if you decide to rent a boat, providing suggestions for the best tour operator. Locals enjoy deep sea fishing off the shores where they can catch shark, tuna, and other large fish for dinner. You can also join in this fun and bring fresh fish back to Wild Dunes condos. The accommodations provide barbecue grills for the perfect grilled fish meal.

Wild Dunes Lodging in the Gate Community

Wild Dunes is a private gated community complete with a golf course. Every morning you can wake up at Wild Dunes lodging for a day of 18 holes. Challenges vary from water obstacles and bunkers to sloping fairways and trees. For families with children, the pool and mini golf courses are perfect.
