"Was looking for a house that would accomodate two adult couples that were looking to relax and hit the slopes. Jan the owner was very helpful with all the details of the house. The two master bedrooms were very spacious with nice beds. We enjoyed the rustic charm of the house and lounged in the living room by the fireplace and watched movies. It was close enough to mount snow and we skied both days. As Jan mentioned 4WD is a must we had a truck so no problem and her neighbor came to plow the driveway as we got six more inches of snow that night."

"We rented the Timber Frame to celebrate my 40th birthday. Four couples, stayed including two small dogs. Bruce and Donna's house is absolutely gorgeous and has everything you need to make your stay comfy; you really don't have to even need to leave! Everyone loved the hot tub and sauna, and it was nice to just relax in front of the fireplace. We played board games and enjoyed eating at the Prohibition Pig in downtown Waterbury. The dogs loved being able to run around in the snow (a nice change from the sidewalks of Boston). We highly recommend this house for anyone who's interested in the full Vermont experience. And we are definitely making Waterbury a yearly tradition -- and hopefully staying at the Timber Frame."

"We were so glad to find a place we could vacation with our dogs, and ecstatic to arrive at this beautiful property with huge lawns, a pond and canoe, Adirondack chairs, comfortable bedrooms, a working kitchen, a gorgeous fireplace -- plus TV and internet -- all with a view of trees, pond, and mountains. Nothing was missing. There is even an outdoor shower, and hoses, to clean off the dogs before coming in the house. It was simply gorgeous both day and night, even in rainy weather for part of our stay. The peepers and toads in the pond provide a happy serenade, and we were lucky enough to have fireflies at night also. Needless to say, we didn't want to leave, and hope to come back some day. Thank you to the owners for allowing responsible pet owners to stay in their beautiful property!"

"We had a wonderful stay at Maya. A four generation group from ages 3 - 87 were all able to stay together at one place. Plenty of room for family dinners, with enough smaller spaces for groups to be apart when needed (like the 3-yr old nap time). Even though our weather was not completely perfect, we were able to get out on the lake in the canoes and have one day of good swimming and floating time. The owner is very accommodating and quick to respond to messages. Be careful on the steps to the auxiliary house after it rains - they get very slippery, and one of us took a tumble! Fortunately, just bruises, but it's something to watch out for."
