"Love staying in this house and hated the fact that vacation time had to come to an end.At the end of it all we loved the house it was very spacious, clean, lots of activities for us to do in the house and all of the cooking utensils we need. Everybody in the house(adults and children) agreed that we will be coming back to this house next year in July again.Thank you!"

  • Great cabin, great location, priced right

"Our first visit to the area as adults and we will return. The cabin was as described and spotless, I was impressed with the cleanliness. It's a rustic exterior with gravel walk and plenty of leaves due to the season but it was well kept. The kitchen was very well equipped. The cabin was easy to find yet felt isolated. Gas fireplace was great and the hot tub was excellent. The stars at night and the leaves falling during the day were the best free gifts one could ask for. I would recommend a second couch or sectional in the living room so two can recline in comfort, our only complaint. The closest town has everything one can need but be aware that some businesses don't keep to their posted hours. The grocery store closed early two nights, including a Friday, so we shopped the Dollar Store instead. Be stocked up for the morning since the cabin is far enough from town to make it inconvenient to run out for coffee. The best part of renting this cabin is the very fair pricing. So many we compared to wanted service fees and cleaning fees, security deposits, etc, which really jacked up the price. Karen does a great job of providing an affordable cabin without sacrificing on quality. We had everything we needed but didn't have to pay for anything we wouldn't use. Linens optional is a great way to save and there were plenty of blankets and pillows provided. Thank you Karen for an easy transaction and a wonderful experience. We plan to return next autumn and highly recommend."

  • Our visit was awesome!

"We truly enjoyed ourselves at the cottage. Our 2 young boys loved the pond, and exploring the woods. It was very peaceful and the wildlife is remarkable! We will visit again!"

  • Peaceful, beautiful country cottage

"We had a wonderful stay in May at Seven Oaks Cottage. The facilities were just as described, very clean and comfortable, and so homely with lots of personal touches and plenty of leaflets and advice about the surrounding area. We visited Staunton, the Frontier Culture Museum the Skyline Drive and Charlottesville - all an easy drive from the cottage. We also enjoyed the fresh eggs the owners gave us from their chickens! The owners were very helpful and friendly, whilst also respecting our privacy. We enjoyed seeing all the animals, walking in the forest on the farm and sampling some of the fresh strawberries growing just outside the cottage. The fire pit was great - toasting marshmallows in the flames, spotting fireflies and stargazing over the rolling hills around us - a truly magical stay, thank you so much."
