Beautiful California Style House 2 Blocks to the Beach. Walk to Dewey & Rehoboth

Super fun, airy, open floor plan California style beach cottage just 2 blocks to the beach and much more. Renovated for 2017 season. We call our house The Windjammer in Rehoboth Beach. You will find this style home all around the area. These homes were originally built as affordable beach retreats for families in the 60's. It has such a cool vibe you'll think your relaxing in Orange Co., CA or Hawaii. Walk to all that Dewey Beach has to offer. Be sure to check out the happy hour at the Dewey Beer Company, or grab some of the best crab cakes on the Eastern Shore at Woody's. If you’re in the mood for music and nightlife your just steps away from Bottle & Cork and the Rusty Rudder. Take the Jolly Trolley from Dewey Beach into downtown Rehoboth Beach for fine dining, shopping, the boardwalk, and Funland for the kids. Historic downtown Lewes is only a 5 mile bike ride away.

4 bedroom 3 bath home with additional outside shower. Well-appointed kitchen with everything you need to cook a great meal. Coffee center with Keurig K-cup coffee maker, french press, tea pot, and classic coffee maker, and beverage cooler. Dining table for 10; 12 if you really like each other.

Master bedroom has 1 king bed and private bathroom with large shower. The remaining bedrooms share 2 additional full bathrooms. In the newly remodeled bathroom you will find a tub. Bedrooms 2 and 3 have queen size beds with easy access to one of the two full bathrooms off the hall.
The bunk room has 4 single beds and is great for the kids.

There are two living areas. The main living area is just off the kitchen and has comfortable seating for everyone. In the back of the house you will find a newly renovated living space with a great view of the backyard and patio. The back living area is a great place to relax and read a book or work on a puzzle. Awesome 70 mbps (for you non nerds out there this is really fast internet) wifi service that covers the entire home and back patio. The main living room television is connected to both cable and has an Apple TV so you can stream your favorite shows. You can also bring your own streaming device to use with any of the televisions in the house. We made it easy for you to just connect and stream without having to pull all the cables out.

The front screen porch has a dining area for 4-6 people. It is the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or plug in the party lights and enjoy a cocktail before dinner. The backyard patio is second to none with plenty of space to hang out and cook on the grill. Enjoy the shade during the warm summer days and light up the night with festive party lights.

You will also have a full size washer and dryer to use. These are located just off the 2nd living area in the back of the house.

Tons of off street parking with room for 5 cars. Bring your bikes and your surf/paddle boards and enjoy the many options that are close by. Lockable storage for bikes & boards is provided.

Beach family week

We had a fabulous week. The property has been decorated with great charm, and is laid out in a way that makes it a perfect family relaxation spot. The beach is very close to the house and is a perfect spot, in Dewey beach but only a 20-30 min walk up the beach to the Rehoboth board walk. The host is incredibly responsive.

Amazing place

this place is absolutely fabulous and has everything you could possibly need. It came with toilet paper and cleaning products and even small amenities like laundry soap for a couple washes and dishwasher liquid. The place was spotless and so fabulous for our entire family of seven from age of 16 to 65. They responded so quickly when we were trying to find something. It's two blocks from the beach. It has a fabulous backyard and screened in porch. This place is absolutely perfect. I have only amazing things to say about our stay and what this house has to offer.

Just a few short blocks from the beach and the heart of Dewey, this wonderful beach house was all we could have wanted. The back deck was delightful in the evenings, and there were many places throughout the house to sit and relax in the lovely ocean breeze.

First visit to the ocean with grandkids

The Windjammer worked out to be the perfect location and layout for our group. We had a wonderful time at the beach. Enough room for everyone to spread out. So many nice touches. Perfect Vacation Home

This was the perfect house for our family and friends! The house was clean and beautifully decorated with comfortable spaces for playing games, reading a book, or enjoying a meal together. We were able to bike and run through the lovely streets of Rehoboth, explore Lewes and Henelopen State Park, enjoy the music and food of Dewey Beach, and relax at the beach which was only a 5 minute walk away. Ladies Weekend Getaway

This was the perfect home for a long weekend to celebrate a 40th birthday. Centrally located to the beach, restaurants, stores, etc. Even better is the home had more than enough room to accommodate all of the guests - it is larger than it looks from the outside. Perfect layout and comfortable accommodations. Communication with the owners was timely and easy. Will definitely recommend and look to book again for a long weekend in the fall.

Our family has been visiting Rehoboth for almost 20 years. We spend 2 weeks every summer with family and friends relaxing, and enjoying all that Rehoboth/Dewey has to offer. While we love our time in the summer, we also enjoy the beach off season. That's the time you really get to know the owners of the local shops and restaurants. There are so many fun things to do off season from the Sea Which Festival to the Film Festival and of course there is endless shopping as we get ready for the holidays. The Delaware Beaches are our home away from home and we hope that it will be yours too.

Why they chose this property

The first time we walked into our house, we fell in love. There was enough room for everyone to have a little space but also great community areas to hang out. We can park our car and walk everywhere; to the beach, to breakfast, lunch or dinner, and to live music. There are indoor as well as outdoor spaces to enjoy. The light and feel of the house makes the house a great place to take a deep breath, relax and get away from it all.
