Woodlands Cottage sits on the edge of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and is central for exploring all that Pembrokeshire has to offer. The idyllic village of Hook is steeped in history and dates back to Viking times. In the morning, take a walk over the lane and down along the river bank to watch the wildlife, as this area has been designated as a Special Area of Conservation, where migratory fish, otters and a wide variety of birdlife are attracted by rich habitats such as shallow gravel beds, tidal creeks, mudflats and steep wooded banks. There is convenient access to the estuary of the River Cleddau for kayaking and boating, located just 50 yards away.

Whitesands, Newgale and Freshwater East offer long surfing beaches, plus many more beaches to explore. The theme parks of Heatherton and Oakwood are a great day out, or for younger families take a trip to Folly Farm Zoo, all within 20-40 minutes’ drive. Beach 10 miles.
