Upon entering the wonderful Gardeners Cottage you are drawn into the fabulous living room with its huge wood burner. The interior design and decoration is immediately impressive and exactly what you want from a holiday home. The living room is open plan with the dining room and beautiful modern kitchen. There are doors off of the dining room and from the kitchen into the garden.
The garden is thoughtfully landscaped with outdoor furniture, a charming summerhouse and a sheltered hot tub for six people. All private and enclosed.
Back in Gardeners Cottage, the rest of the ground floor is made up of beautiful bedrooms. A double bedroom with en-suite facilities and a coastal themed twin room also with an en-suite. Up the stairs there is another charming double bedroom and a bathroom across the landing.
Beyond the cottage there’s the coastline to explore with a little beach to comb, wander along and spot seals and porpoises just off shore. There’s countryside all around with mountains as the backdrop. The area offers opportunities for many outdoor pursuits including mountain biking, climbing, skiing, kayaking, walking, golf and fishing. Lochaber is known as the ’Outdoor Capital of the UK’ and boasts the World Championship Mountain Bike course and the Nevis Range Ski Centre, which are both very close to the cottage.
You can take a trip on the famous Jacobite Stream Train (Hogwarts Express) from Fort William to Mallaig, experience historic Glencoe with its magnificent mountain ranges or enjoy a visit to Oban, the gateway to the isles. The islands of Rum, Muck, Eigg and Canna can be visited from Mallaig, and the beautiful white sandy beaches at Camusdarroch are fabulous.
A short ferry crossing from Corran will allow you to explore Ardnamurchan Peninsula, the most westerly point of mainland Britain, whilst the ferry from Lochaline will take you across to the islands of Mull and Iona.
The area is steeped in history with plenty of historic castles, museums, distilleries and beautiful gardens to explore, or why not just relax in the hot tub and enjoy the peace and quiet! Beach 100 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
