A beautifully styled traditional brick and flint cottage tucked away in the heart of Blakeney, just a two minute walk from the quay. Deceptively spacious and furnished with comfort and quality high on the list, you will find Sea Holly House a very peaceful and relaxing place to stay.
Tucked quietly away from the village High Street, this early Victorian cottage uses neutral coloured furnishings and decor to enhance the character and add a contemporary touch. The overall effect is one of calm and easy charm.
Sea Holly House offers accommodation for up to six guests. On the ground floor you will find a well-equipped galley style kitchen and an adjoining dining hall. The sitting room invites you to relax and settle down with a book or film, day or night, and the wood burning stove will keep you extra cosy when the days turn chilly and the nights draw in. The cottage has three bedrooms, one of which is on the ground floor (double) along with an adjacent shower room and the two further bedrooms (king and king/twin) are on the first floor, along with a good-sized family bathroom. There is also a study/snug on the first floor, allowing a quiet space if you wish to read or need somewhere to work. Outside, just a few steps from the back door, is a handy ‘wash house' with a washing machine, tumble dryer, large fridge freezer and microwave. The secluded west facing garden is fully enclosed and has been attractively landscaped to include a flagstone seating area with garden furniture. There's a further small cottage garden area with seating near to the kitchen - ideal for enjoying an early morning cuppa.
Sea Holly House is perfectly positioned - only a short walk from the quay, local amenities and a choice of places to eat as well as being an excellent base if you wish to explore further afield. This rather fabulous Norfolk hideaway is suited to couples, friends and families looking to enjoy a short or longer stay in this pretty coastal village and beautiful area of North Norfolk.

i don't think the photos do this house justice- it really is very tastefully renovated and to a high standard. only qualms were- wood so damp wouldn't burn, and you do need to be wary that you'll generally have to park your car a 5 minute walk away from the property. we weren't given the permit which wasn't the owner's fault- it was the property managers who said they'd said sort it but didn't. however that car park is still a 5 minute walk away. location overall excellent as can walk to the harbour in 1 minute, walk to some lovely pubs and a deli within minutes. very relaxed feel to the place and everyone who stayed had a great time. very nice of the owners to allow a dog given how pristine the place is! furnishings - towels bedding mattresses all really high quality so although this place is towards the higher end of the normal rental for the area, given that it's 4 bedrooms (decent size) and of such high quality, i think good value.

Beautiful, stylish house
We stayed at Sea Holly House with friends and had such a wonderful time. The house is beautifully appointed and it’s position is perfect for walking to shops, restaurants, coastal paths and particularly for croissants in the morning!

A beautiful home in Blakeney
We had a wonderful week at Sea Holly House in August 2021. The house itself was beautiful and well-equipped and walking distance from the Quay which was great for crabbing. There were lots of wonderful walks along the coastal paths and it is also a great location for day trips further afield e.g. Holkham and Brancaster beaches. In terms of local hostelries we would recommend the Two Magpies Bakery, the White Horse and the Moorings (Blakeney), the Wiveton Bell (Wiveton) and the Wiveton Hall for pizzas (Wed to Sun evenings). In terms of deli and takeaway food we would recommend Picnic Fayre and the Cley Smokehouse (both in Cley), Well's deli (Wells next the Sea) and Eric's Fish & Chips (Thornham).

Fantastic house in superb location
Sea Holly House has a brilliant location just off Blakeney High Street. Deceptive from the outside, the house has acres of space inside and an amazingly well stocked kitchen. The garden is beautiful and carefully maintained, and the smell of the jasmine climbing up the wall next to the table is really delightful in the late afternoon. The property is brilliantly situated only a short walk from the quayside and it was fantastic to leave the car behind and set off walking each morning along the coast. Stunning all round!

Short break in Blakeney
The cottage was tucked away down a side street and a bit difficult to find also unloading and loading was quite awkward. The downstairs was dark due to no main overhead lighting, upstairs was better. The switch for the hot water had been accidentally turned off, maybe by a cleaner, and we didn’t know this, but wondered why the hot water was getting cooler by the day. We had to contact the company and an electrician came out and switched it back on. Unfortunately we had no hot water for one evening and the next morning.

Main bedroom excellent but one with sloping roof and the third very tight for double bed & for stora
The location was almost excellent but problems parking 3 cars especially for older people
all equipment in kitchen etc was excellent. Lighting in the sitting room could have been better.
Impressed by garden and the 6 of us had breakfast out there every morning in the marvellous weather we were lucky to have.
The door key lock is faulty, it’s very difficult to open with the necessary code.

New Year at Sea Holly House 2019/20
We absolutely loved our stay at Sea Holly House in Blakeney. We are a regular visitor to the area but this was our first stay in Blakeney itself. The property is superbly located within a minutes walk of a wonderful Deli with fresh bread everyday and the White Horse Hotel which has a lovely dog friendly bar serving great food. Sea Holly House ticks every box and comfortably accommodated 4 adults and a teenager and 2 small dogs (which we sought permission for as usually only 1 dog is allowed). The house has everything required including a wood burner in the cosy lounge. Comfortable beds and showers downstairs and upstairs completed the list of conveniences. Decor is on point and the property has been refurbished to a very high standard. Parking is a little challenging due to the narrow street and ‘loke’ layout of the village high street. A convenient parking pass is included to leave your car in the Harbour Rooms car park and if you have a second car then a weeks stay in the same car park is £25. Loading and unloading your car on arrival/departure needs some logistical planning but it’s possible to reverse into an adjacent loke right up to a a side door! It’s narrow so 4x4 drives need to breathe in!! We highly recommend this property and look forward the our next stay.

Great property and location!
We had a fantastic stay at sea holly house. The cottage provides all the basic necessities as well as some great handy kitchen items such as foil and food bags! A lovely size and good layout for little children.
Location is perfect right next to a great deli which serves freshly baked breakfast and it's a short stroll to the quay. Plenty of walks for those more active and so many country pubs for lunch within a short drive away.
Highly recommend both the area and Sea Holly House.

The orchard family getaway
A hidden gem in one of our favourite places to share with our family on our regular half term October break. EE
enjoying family time together staying in with easy meals ,log fires and having a cosy cottage but not having any
control of the heating system and no understanding of how to override the system is a negative which can be
easily resolved with some simple instructions in the folder .Central heating should be as you require not as
programmed

Cottage very good.
Kitchen floor was not especially clean when we arrived, and we found used teabags in the teapot. Could do with some pint glasses for beer.

A Hot week at Sea Holly House
Really enjoyed our week at Sea Holly House. It’s a beautiful house with a lovely garden space. However there a few points we would like to raise:
No Barbecue (even though when we initially booked it did say that there was one) I called Norfolk Hideaways and the lady was helpful but didn’t manage to supply a BBQ even though she said she would do her best to drop one at the house. Given it was one of the hottest weeks we’ve had in the U.K. that would have made all the difference.
Secondly the door latches in the upstairs front bedroom do not fit correctly having the windows open and a gust of breeze caused them to rattle constantly which didn’t aid a very good nights sleep.
Overall we were happy with the accommodation and we love Blakeney very much.

Thank you for your review of Sea Holly House. We are really pleased to hear that you had an enjoyable stay here at Blakeney.
We are sorry that you were expecting a BBQ at the property and we weren't able to provide you with one during your stay however, Norfolk Hideaways website doesn't advertise that this property has a BBQ available.
Thank you for informing us about the issue with the door latches; your feedback is important to us to improve our experiences and will be actively addressed.
We are glad that, despite these issues, you had a lovely holiday in Norfolk and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future.

First impressions last longest
Never been to Norfolk previously and this was a fantastic introduction. Sea Holly Cottage was perfect in every way; not least the lovely garden and close proximity of the Deli for early morning fresh coffee, croissants, catching up on reading while watching the bees working tirelessly on the lovely array of garden flowers.
The village, coastline and surrounding countryside are the stuff of fairytales.
First but definitely not the last time.

Loved the cottage. Loved the location.
The home was fully equipped with everything we needed for our long weekend. The bathrooms in the home were beautiful and very modern. The ability to walk to pubs and restaurants was key for our group and worked out well. You do have to park off the property and it is something to keep in mind. One car is optimal and luggage will have to be carried a short way. Our group of 6 adults would highly recommend this property for your holiday.
