Las Mariquitas (ver foto del artículo del Daily Mail) es el destino perfecto de vacaciones de lujo para familias y grupos que ofrece un maravilloso alojamiento totalmente equipado con 6 dormitorios, 5 baños, una gran piscina climatizada, WiFi gratuito y hermosos jardines. Se encuentra en una posición elevada mágica con impresionantes paisajes proporcionados por las montañas de Sierra Nevada y el Mediterráneo.

Las Maraquitas está a sólo 1,6 km a pie del pueblo blanco andaluz de Frigiliana, votado regularmente como el pueblo más bonito de España, y a 5 minutos en coche de la animada ciudad costera de Nerja. Hay muchas atracciones locales y servicios para disfrutar, incluyendo una amplia selección de restaurantes.

La villa ofrece una gama de alojamiento de huéspedes, 4 dormitorios en la villa principal, incluyendo un apartamento estudio con acceso independiente al jardín, y un apartamento de 2 dormitorios situado junto a la piscina.

Una característica especial de la propiedad es su piscina, posiblemente la más grande de la zona, y que mide 18m x 6m. La terraza que rodea la piscina se beneficia de una suave brisa en los días calurosos y está bien equipada con tumbonas (12), sombrillas y ducha al aire libre. La casita de la piscina dispone de cuarto de baño, lavadora, cocina americana y toallero. Se abre a un porche sombreado, contiguo a la piscina, con comedor para 12 personas y barbacoa de gas. Se requiere un cargo adicional para la calefacción de la piscina, que no suele ser necesaria de mediados de junio a mediados de septiembre.

El gran jardín tiene una sorprendente variedad de follaje, incluyendo césped, huerto y palmeras / árboles. Un camino de entrada y salida tiene espacio para varios coches, junto con un gran pórtico. La villa, la piscina y los jardines tienen un carácter muy privado y no se pasa por alto por las propiedades vecinas.

Al entrar en la propiedad los huéspedes son recibidos con una hermosa montaña y vistas al mar. El gran salón incluye cómodos sofás / chez longe y TV 4K con canales internacionales.

La espaciosa cocina tiene un gran horno tradicional español (eléctrico y de gas) con todas las comodidades proporcionadas como nevera / congelador, nevera de bebidas, microondas, lavavajillas, hervidor de agua y cafetera Nespresso. El comedor cuenta con comedor interior para 12 apertura a una gran terraza con sombra y una gran mesa de comedor al aire libre. Cerca hay otra barbacoa (de carbón) y zona de cocina.

Arriba, el dormitorio principal, con cama super king size, tiene una terraza privada con vistas increíbles y es servido por un cuarto de baño con bañera grande y ducha separada. Cerca del dormitorio principal hay otro dormitorio con dos camas, perfecto para niños o adultos. Un dormitorio doble / baño en suite se encuentra en la planta baja con acceso a nivel de la entrada principal.

A nivel del jardín, hay un estudio bien equipado con dos camas individuales, cocina americana (sin fogones), sala de estar y cuarto de ducha. Un comedor al aire libre adyacente es perfecto para un desayuno en el jardín.

El apartamento de dos dormitorios recientemente reformado ofrece fácil acceso a la piscina y al jardín y un grado adicional de privacidad de la villa principal. Incluye habitaciones dobles y dobles, un salón / comedor (6 plazas), TV con canales internacionales, cocina, guardarropa y cuarto de ducha con su propia terraza y fantásticas vistas.

Maravillosa estancia

Hemos estado muy a gusto en esta casa. Todo muy limpio y preparado para acogernos. A pesar del frío que hacía, hemos estado calentitos y cómodos dentro de la casa. Andrew, el propietario, nos ha atendido muy bien en todo lo que hemos necesitado. Volveremos en otra ocasión.!!!

We had the most amazing week. The villa is clean, comfortable and set in a beautiful location with amazing views. It’s an extremely quiet location but is set perfectly for those who wish to explore. Frigiliana is less than 5 minutes by car (there are very reliable taxis and a bus stop just outside the villa too) and Nerja less than 10 minutes. We hired cars, which were useful for the supermarket, but otherwise we made use of the bus and taxis to get around. The villa was so well equipped with everything you need for your stay. The beds and linen were so comfortable. I would give more than 5 stars if I could! The pool was absolutely amazing! We spent every day by the pool, and having the pool house is a god send with toilet facilities and kitchen meaning we didn’t need to keep walking up to the main house. We even swam at night time! The owner, Andrew, was fantastic at communicating prior and post stay, and Oscar was always on hand at the villa if we needed anything. We can’t wait to come back again next year!

A large family holiday

What a fantastic Villa. The photos and description on the Vrbo property page show off how fantastic this villa with its secluded location and those brilliant mountain views that make this Villa such an outstanding place to holiday but to be honest no photo can truly capture the splendour of La Mariquitas it has to be seen to fully appreciate what a splendid holiday destination this is. We have stayed in many villas across the whole of Spain but this villa far out passes any of these previous locations by miles. There were 9 adults and one 3 year old in our group and at no time did we feel limited on space. The pool is the largest we have ever had the use of and gated for extra security. The pool is well maintained and warm with plenty of sunbeds with areas of sun and shade. The quality of fixtures and fittings provided that extra level of luxury. The place is very well equipped and we found everything we required. With the town of Frigliana just up the road and Nerja just a short drive away you have all you need on your doorstep but the added bonus you have that quite isolationAndrew our host has been absolutely brilliant answering any question I asked promptly and the pre-joining information he provided answered so many questions before we arrived. He said we would not be disappointed with the Villa and he was so right. Oscar the property manager was there to meet us on a arrival and provided a comprehensive tour of accommodation and facilities

Breathtaking

The Villa, the scenery, the weather were all absolutely breathtaking. Frigiliana lived up to the hype of being one of the prettiest villages in Spain. A vista from just about any area in the Villa was jaw dropping and the pictures don’t do it justice. From the moment we booked, Andrew was there to help and assist with every aspect of our booking. Extra details, clear instructions and incredibly helpful whenever we needed him. Upon arrival, Oscar was there for everything else. Nothing was too trivial and Oscar made himself available at all times to assist us if we needed taxis’s booking, clarity on local knowledge or local attractions and eateries. The Villa was stunningly laid out, beautifully decorated and the pool area was where we were automatically drawn. Every sleeping area felt as luxurious as each other and maintained the privacy from the others. Nerja Caves is a must! Apparently one of the best caves in Europe and we couldn’t argue against that.Frigiliana is a lovely day of walking, exploring and emmersing ourselves in the local culture. Nerja is great for shopping, dining and a lovely little beach by the shopping central.Prices for eating out were way cheaper than the UK and of awesome quality and quantity. Foot Note: It’s hilly!! The walk up to Frigiliana is enough to get you out of breathe and the heart beating, so less abled visitors took advantage of the local taxi services that were really good and very prompt. If you are thinking about booking, Do It!

Family vacation

We had a great family week at “La Maraquitas” in February with nice weather.Great house with plenty of space inside and outside. Private places too. The pool was super. The area is Quite. Short distance to beautiful Frigiliana. Can highly recommend.

Spacious with great views

Difficult to fault. Very spacious accommodation in large gardens with super large pool. Bedroom and bathrooms well laid out to accommodate our mixed group of couples and singles. Very well equipped; never ran low on glasses, crockery or cutlery, which has often happened at previous rentals. The large pool was a real treat, as were all outdoor spaces with many seating/relaxing areas. Made full use of barbecue, pool table and ping pong. Spectacular views all around and easy access to Frigliana and Nerja made this a great choice for us. Would definitely return.

Amazing - I highly recommend it

Our family of 11 had a great stay at the villa. We stayed here to celebrate my fathers 75th birthday. The kids loved the pool - the adults too :) - plenty of space for all of us: spacious and peaceful rooms and multiple dining options. The location is really quiet, but Frigliana and Nerja are only 5 minutes by car. Great hike from the house to Frigliana through the Rio Higuerion. Quick communication from the owner who was very thoughtful and cooperative! I highly recommend staying here

Perfect family gathering place in beautiful & quiet setting!

Wonderful in all ways! Photos and descriptions of the villa interior and exterior provide accurate information. Everything inside the house (and the pool) was very clean. What a brilliant idea to have two separate apartments in addition to the main house, on the property. This was perfect for our extended family gathering. Plenty of space for parking cars next to the house, inside the locked gate, was convenient and secure. We appreciated the comfortable seating inside the house, on the deck and around the pool. The wi-fi was great. Communication with owner Andrew, and on-site manager Oscar was fantastic. Large grocery store & fuel station are very close. Frigiliana, Nerja and Malaga are interesting, fun, clean places to explore and are our favorite towns in Spain.

family holiday

We have just returned from an amazing family holiday in Andrews stunning Villa, Its situation nestled just below Frigilliana was very peaceful and relaxing and we enjoyed many evenings on the veranda watching the sun go down sipping some chilled vino blanco .I would recommend hiring a car for your stay or use the local bus service which is located just 2 mins from the villa as the walk into Frigilliana is rather steep .The swimming pool is truly amazing and it was in use everyday. A big thanks must go to Oscar the property manager who was really friendly and very helpful to us all week especially sorting out our grocery deliver on our first evening.

Large Family Holiday

The villa Casa las Mariquitas is a truly fantastic villa for up to 12 people and in a superb location situated between Nerja and Frigiliana with superb views to the mountains and down to Nerja. The whole villa (3 bedrooms/2 bathrooms/living/ inside and outside dining/huge kitchen), garden appartment (bedroom/living/kitchenette/bathroom) and pool appartment (2 bedrooms/living/large shower room) are all beautifully presented and maintained and absolutely every item that you need has been thought of and provided to make your stay as seamless and enjoyable as possible. The highlight is undoubtedly the the magnificent pool (heated if required at additional cost) and the beautiful surrounding gardens and magnificent views. The villa has adequate parking for 3-4 cars, and although the road (Calle del Secadero) leading from the main road is mostly unmade, it is easily navigable for cars, mini buses and coaches (we had a 16 seater coach and a 32 seater coach on 4 occasions). I would also highly recommend the use of an outside catering company (recommended to us by the property manager) if only for 1 night, we had 4 different Paellas for different allergies and dietary requirements, the food was expertly prepared and the food absolutely delicious and at a reasonable cost. Overall, the holiday we had for 10 family members and 2 friends was one of the best we have had, made even more memorable due to this fantastic villa and its superb location, highly recommend.

Such a beautiful stay

On arrival we were greeted by Oscar, very knowledgeable and on hand throughout our stay, incredibly helpful! Could not have asked for more. He even picked some lychees for us growing in the orchard..! We had a party of 12. Which this place easily accommodated - 7 adults and 5 children ranging from 3-13 years. Plenty of space for everyone. Lots to keep us entertained. We never felt on top of each family which comes in handy when naps and quiet time is required. The views are spectacular. The area is stunning and Frigiliana (5min drive) is lovely. Unless you are planning on just staying at the villa for the whole week. Would recommend a car, which we had. I did note a bus stop on the main road. Will consider using this the next time we visit for day trip to the beach. This was such a beautiful place. Lots of memories made here. Would come back in a heartbeat!! Thank you so much. Would highly recommend.

A fantastic vacation in a magical area.

The vila was stunning. It was close to Frigiliana and a 10 minute drive to the beach in Nerja. We loved everything about the vila and our experience there. Oscar the property manager went out of his way to make our stay amazing. From telling us his favorite grocery stores to helping us find a doctor when one of our kids got sick, he was fantastic. We really appreciated all his help.

Wonderful stay

We have just returned from the most wonderful stay in Las Mariquitas; I would highly recommend this property. We were a party of 11 (ranging in age from 11 months to 64) travelling for a family holiday, and the property was perfect for us. The villa is stunning and really spacious. It’s a sprawling property with a few different relaxing areas so you’re not on top of one another. The separate apartments worked well for our different groups too. The villa is clean, in good repair, and very well equipped, with pool towels, highchairs, cots etc. all provided. We spent most of our time at the pool, so found it useful to have a separate pool house with its own set of crockery/cutlery etc. (and enjoyed the many inflatables and games!) Andrew’s communications prior to our stay were clear and helpful and Oscar, the property manager, was fantastic. He even gave me a lift to the supermarket on the first night (before our rental car arrived) to stock up on essentials, which was incredibly kind and well beyond the call of duty! On that note, I would recommend a car for this property. You could manage without (Lidl is 30 mins walk and Frigiliana is only a 15 minute walk) but it’s hilly and would be a bit of a faff for groceries. We loved the area too. Frigiliana is a picturesque mountain village, with lots of bars and restaurants, and the beaches in Nerja are nice. I’d recommend the El Fuerte trek from Frigliana and we also did a day trip to Alhambra, which was fantastic.

The location (between the sea and the mountains) is great. 10 min drive to Nerja beach and 25 min walk to the center of Frigiliana. The house is very well equipped to host 10-12 people. Swimming pool is really great. Table tennis and billiard tables also available. The manager of the facility (Oscar) was helpful and reachable at (almost) all times.,

Absolutely amazing place

When we arrived the villa our first response was wow!!! What an amazing place. We stayed there with 3 families with children. There was enough space for everybody. The rooms are big and well equiped. The view from at the pool is amazing. The garden is nice and is well maintained. The pool house is amazing too, with a toilet, shower and even a kitchen with dishwasher and a fridge. The pool is big and well maintained too. If you want, it's possible to heat the pool, this will cost some extra but well worth the money. There is a table tennis table and even a biljart, nice. The location is perfect and easy to go to several places. The contact with Andrew was really nice. Also the contact with the villa manager Oscar was pleassant. We think it's worth 6 stars.

Awesome Villa

Amazing place, loved staying there. Hope to return again. Would recommend a four wheel drive for access; roads are a little on the bumpy side.

Bra boende för tre generationer

Perfekt boende för familj på tre generationer, sju vuxna och fem barn mellan fyra och fjorton år. Välutrustat kök, stora ytor både inne och ute. Den stora uppvärmda poolen var värd sin extra kostnad för elen. Bra utrymme för tre bilar. Mycket bra service på plats. Kan rekommenderas! Mormor och Morfar

Veldig bra! stort hus, flott uteområde, svært basseng. Ferieboligen ser enda bedre ut enn Bildene på nettsiden . Det var litt uheldig med oversettelsen på nettsiden, da ekstra betalingene ikke kom med.

Wonderful villa, great view, terrific location

This is a really lovely villa with a separate studio and two bed apartment on different levels - perfect for a group of friends on holiday. The 270 degree views from mountain to sea were wonderful with great views from most rooms and several seating areas to hang out. The house was very clean with all the conveniences you might need. Less than an hours drive from Malaga and very easy to get to. Perfect position between Frigiliana (which really is postcard perfect) and Nerja on the coast with it's beautiful white houses, great restaurants and lovely beach coves. But frankly, you could just stay in the villa! Andrew (owner) and Oscar (manager) were very easy to communicate with but we didn't need to contact them beyond arrival as everything was in good repair and usefully organised - for example the pool area has it's own bathroom/kitchen/fridge with towels, plates and cutlery which is super convenient. Andrew recommended Paris Malaga autocars for airport car hire who were very efficient - would definitely recommend a car to explore, but you could climb up to Frigiliana in 20-30mins and walk down to Nerja in 45mins. Basically a lovely holiday in a great villa. Thank you Andrew and Oscar!

This place is remarkable. The house was spacious and comfortable, the views were beautiful, the location was excellent and the overall rental experience was outstanding. Would certainly stay here again. Andrew (host) and Oscar(property manager) were a pleasure to deal with.

Amazing ..

It really was a holiday if a lifetime. All the family came together. The pool and pool house where definitely the hub for us.. We all had our own space, which worked well. Just a magical 2 weeks.

3 Family Holiday

The property is amazing with the best pool we have ever had! The Photos don’t do it justice, it’s a slice of paradise in Spain. 5-star accommodation, with views to die for. We were looked after by Oscar and his team and nothing was too much trouble for them, they were friendly, accommodating and very efficient in dealing with any queries or questions we had . The Villa was spacious and very well equipped. The layout being perfect for large groups or extended families. We will certainly be using Vrbo again.
