This property was amazing; above and beyond our expectations. The owners are friendly and very prompt at answering emails. Their dog should be a good will ambassador! Colt (the dog) was there to greet us and showed us the way best path down to the river. I'll list the pros and, since there aren't any cons, I will list things that might make your stay more enjoyable.
Pros: While the house is a duplex you would never know it. We stayed in the Sequoia Charm, with another couple staying on the other side, and the house is so well built that we never heard a peep from them.
The kitchen is outside and amazing! Coming from Indiana, the thought of an outdoor kitchen was intriguing but I can see how it would work in California. The appliances are top notch and it's even stocked with condiments like olive oil, ketchup, salt and pepper, etc. If cooking isn't your thing, there are several grills to choose from.
There is a small refrigerator in the room along with a microwave, a sink, and a coffeemaker. The bathroom is more than adequate for 2 people but the shower itself is on the small size.
The room has a balcony that overlooks the Kaweah River and it was soothing to sit out there in the early morning and evening to drink coffee, read, chat with my husband, and just enjoy being unplugged from everything. (They do offer wifi so I was still able to check email and play games.)
Things to know:
The Sequoia Charm is a loft (although very big) and there is a slightly steep set of stairs that you'll need to be able to get up and down. I am a middle aged Mom from Indiana and didn't have any problems. Even with my extremely overpacked suitcase.
The town is small with limited places to eat. It's easy enough to stock up on groceries as you pass through Fresno and store them in either fridge. We ate at the Pizza Place and the Mexican Restaurant; both were decent. The two ice cream stores were delicious!
I do need to bring up ants. There were none in the room; no bugs at all, but the ants do love the path where the chairs are and the rocks in the river. To avoid them, either take the lawn chairs that are provided and actually sit in the river, or (ask the owners first) spray down the area you want to sit at with ant spray. In the middle of the day the ants weren't a problem, only when it was cool outside.
This place is amazing and I can highly recommend it to anyone who wants to just get away for a few days.
