About this property

Cabin in the mountain (full rental) for 2/3 people. Pets allowed

Refugio de Luena is a cozy cabin located at the foot of the mountains of the Sierra del Escudo Natural Park, a short distance from the Puerto del Escudo and the Ebro reservoir.
Old barn for cattle, was completely renovated respecting the original style of the house, but offering all the comforts to enjoy a pleasant and relaxing stay, surrounded by nature and the respectful activity of farmers who graze their livestock.
Near the house there are many options for walking, biking or organizing excursions. You can also relax at any of the three nearby spas: Alceda, Corconte and Puente Viesgo.
The national park of the Dunes of Liencres and its beach are about 45 minutes away, the Ebro Reservoir 15 minutes away. It is allowed to swim in authorized areas and is a great place to practice water sports. It also has many paths around that allow a pleasant walk with the views and colors offered at sunset.
There are caves with paintings dating from the Paleolithic, and nearby areas to practice adventure sports with monitors, having activities suitable for children.
The house is equipped with ceramic hob, coffee maker, fridge with freezer, microwave, and washing machine. Includes sheets and towels. Optional availability of a pair of bikes to enjoy the environment (ask). We admit animals without extra cost.
It is an opportunity to enjoy the little things: Relax in the open space, read a book in the garden, try the excellent meats of the area cooked on the barbecue or in the stone oven, have breakfast outside, watching the sun Look out over the side mountains, listen to the silence and spend time with your people.

Nice view but the cottage is small

Nice cottage, but you must be flexible when you want to take a shower. Very small bedroom and difficult stairs.

Hide away

If you want to get out of the every day disturbances and routines of today's civilization this is the place to be. Focus on fundamentals and a slow down from the daily routines comes by itself in the beautiful calmness, simplicity and remoteness of this place. Surrounded by wonderful nature and unspoiled agricultural practices the mind and body can relax. Plenty of not overcrowded hiking options and the excellent swimming possibility in the Ebro reservoir make this place on one hand calm, but offer also a lot of options for physical activities. Also the beaches and spectacular scenery of the Atlantic are close enough to justify day trips. For everybody that is looking for a reset by yourself or with with 2 I can fullheartedly recommend this place for at least 1 week, but better 2 or 3.

Un verdadero refugio

Hemos pasado 10 días maravillosos en esta cabaña con nuestro perro, cuidada hasta el último detalle y en un lugar privilegiado. Es cierto que los techos bajos dan algún problemilla, pero lo compensa todo lo demás. Es acogedora, bonita y rodeada de naturaleza. invita a disfrutar de la calma. Es un oasis de paz. klein maar fijn

Huisje ligt erg mooi en ziet er leuk uit. Van binnen is het erg klein en donker. Niet geschikt voor lange mensen en mensen die last hebben van claustrofobie. Bij mooi weer is het een prima locatie omdat je dan lekker in de tuin kan zitten. Inrichting was verder sober maar wel compleet. Omgeving is mooi. Gastheer vriendelijk en goed bereikbaar

Tranquilidad en buen entorno

Ha sido exactamente lo que íbamos buscando. El enclave de la casa fantástico, con unas vistas insuperables mientras desayunas o comes en el cenador. La casa super acogedora y muy romántica. Tanto Jordi como Carol, han sido unos grandes anfitriones. Esperamos repetir pronto

Vacaciones perfectas en medio de la naturaleza

Nuestra estancia en Luena ha sido estupenda. Desde el recibimiento que nos dio Carol, quien nos dio ideas y sugerencias para los días que íbamos a pasar por allí, hasta el último día. La casa es exactamente como muestran las fotos. El lugar donde se encuentra es precioso, en medio del valle de Luena. La cabaña está perfectamente equipada y es muy acogedora. Es un lugar ideal si tienes mascota pues además del jardín, está rodeada de muchos senderos por donde puedes pasear tranquilamente. Incluso puedes ir a pasar el día a la playa pues no está a más de una hora en coche. En resumen, un lugar muy recomendable para descansar y desconectar.

Una gozada

Hemos estado una semana con nuestra perrita. Ha sido una auténtica gozada. Especialmente la casa con su barbacoa. Hemos disfrutado mucho del entorno. Sobre todo nuestra mascota. Si regresamos por esa zona seguro que repetiremos en esa casa. Un saludo para Jordi por sus atenciones.

Perfecto para desconectar

Experiencia formidable la que tuvimos. La casa es espectacular, rústica cuidando hasta el más mínimo detalle. El entorno envidiable, rodeados de campo, granjas y animales. Ideal para parejas que quieran desconectar del agobio de la gran ciudad. En mi caso fui con mi mujer, hija y mi perro (que fue el que mejor se lo pasó). Disfrutamos mucho de la barbacoa y del ambiente. Recomendable 100%. Jordi y Pilar estuvieron muy atentos en todo momento.

Lugar de encanto!

Hemos pasado 5 días muy a gusto en este rinconcito de Cantabria, en el que puedes desconectar totalmente. La casa es preciosa, no le falta detalle, sus dos chimeneas, una cama muy cómoda y un baño muy bonito en el que te puedes relajar gracias a su bañera de hidromasaje. Levantarte por las mañanas, y ver ese paisaje, oler a naturaleza y escuchar los cencerros de las vacas, para mí es todo un lujo. Aprovechamos un par de días que salió el sol a hacer barbacoa en el jardín y tanto la perra como nosotros disfrutamos un montón. El trato recibido por los dueños y por Pili muy bueno. Así que solo me queda deciros que gracias y un saludo.

Magnifico lugar para desconectar

El entorno es increible, las vistas desde la casa impresionantes, en si la casa esta perfecta, el pequeño fallo del dormitorio algo incomodo para los que tenemos cierta envergadura. La entrada en cuesta hacia la casa se merece un asfaltado, por lo demas fantastico, lugares cercanos para comprar productos frescos y con calidad... Pili magnifica en su acogida. Un saludo.

Agradecer a Jordi, compartir este hermoso lugar...un paraíso perfecto para humanos y para compañeros de cuatro patas. Volveremos sin duda, es perfecto para nosotros y no pudimos estar mas a gusto, incluso la lluvia es un regalo es un paraje así...impresionante el aroma en el aire del jazmin y el rosal blanco del jardín después de la lluvia y la hierba mojada...creo que nunca he olido nada igual. Estuvimos 7 dias inolvidables. La casa es perfecta para descansar en un entorno de pelicula con tu pareja y tus perros. El sitio es magico y si te gusta el senderimos hay mil rutas a cual mas bella y expectacular por la zona. Tranquilidad absoluta. La casa es preciosa, el porche magnifico para disfutrar al sol en las comidas. Totalmente recomendable y para repetir.

Pasamos unos dias maravillosos, la casa es una pasada, pequeñita pero con todas las comodidades y con muchos detalles.Por poner un pero, la parte de arriba tiene los techos un poco bajitos y las personas altas lo tienen mas complicadito para moverse. Totalmente recomendable

Hemos estado 3 días en el Refugio de Luena y nos ha encantado. Al refugio no le falta de nada en cuanto a instalaciones . Quizás lo peor es que si eres un poco alto, es un poco incómodo . Las vistas son impresionantes. Nosotros que vivimos en una ciudad buscábamos tranquilidad y naturaleza en estado puro y cumple estos requisitos con creces.

Un lugar de cuento

Hola a todos, No quería dejar de compartir mi opinión sobre el Refugio de Luena. Hemos pasado una semana en ella y no tengo palabas para describir nuestra experiencia. Han sido unos días maravillosos con nuestros perros disfruando de esta preciosa casa. Es tal cuál aparece en las fotos de presentación. Cuidada hasta el más mínimo detalle. Está en un entorno idílico, sin ruidos, donde tan solo se escuchan pajaritos, con unas vistas increíbles. Si queréis realizar excursiones queda todo a unas distancias muy cortas. Está super bien situada para poder hacer cualquier punto de Cantabria a menos de una hora y después volver a disfrutar de este entorno privilegiado. En los pueblo cercanos como Alceda, a !0 minutos,se puede encontrar comercios, farmacias... Solo queremos darle las gracias a Noelia y a Jordi por crear este espacio tan bonito y hecho con tanto gusto. Se nota el cariño con el que se ha realizado. Os lo recomiendo a todos!

Sitio muy tranquilo y relajado

Esta ubicado en un entorno muy bonito y tranquilo pero cerca de la carretera principal, ideal para ir en pareja. La casa esta bien equipada y es muy acogedora. La zona es muy bonita y es posible que repitamos.
