An outdoor lover's pastoral & mountain view escape

We can only describe this place as idyllic. Forest on one side, horses on the other and meadows below the stream that runs through the bottom of the garden. Wildlife thrives here. You may discover mink, otters, owls, hawks, herons, crayfish and more. The surroundings make it the perfect place to relax after a day of mountain hiking!
Mossy Rock is a cozy suite on the lower level of our 4100 sf Villa on the hillside of Ryder Lake, BC.
The cozy suite takes up half of the garden level of the house. We reside in the other half and the top floor. We are two adult couples and two small dogs
The 20 x 40 foot pool is an oasis during the summer heat waves! (The pool and it's hot tub are closed October 1st to May long weekend) The second hot tub is under the sundeck, overlooking the property with mountain views is always available, heated year round!
The barbeque and dining table are under the cover of the sun deck, near the hot tub, for those rainy days of autumn.

Highly recommend for relaxing country getaway! Beautiful mountain scenery with lots of flowers and greenery on property. Pet friendly & my dogs LOVED exploring in the huge yard! We stayed for a week in August & it was HOT! We brought our own groceries, our Air Fryer, & were able to cook our meals in a very well stocked kitchen w/ a full refrig! The 2 BR suit was clean & full of extra towels etc. The pool was lovely & absolutely refreshing to cool off in! Just email for anything you need, the hosts are very prompt & accommodating! Our only suggestion is that the 2 BR Suite needs another AC unit on the Queen BR side as we found it difficult to cool that side of the entire suite off when the weather was over 90 degrees. Overall, we highly recommend this place to anyone that needs a restful getaway! PS. Gas, Groceries, Restaurants & “Amazing Thai” massages are a short 19” drive into town by car. Wi Fi works great for movies etc.

What an amazing, relaxing space. The pool and hot tub was the only reason we went, and we were definitely not disappointed. The unit itself was spacious and very clean.The only advice I could offer and would be great, because the space is so big and so many people can stay there, but in the living room, the couch only sat two or three people at the very most, and everyone else was on the floor or sitting in computer chairs or decorative chairs. So it wasn’t so relaxing to sit back and watch a movie, but we did bring an air mattress we did blow that up so people could relax on that and the only reason we brought the air mattress is because I seen in the pictures there was only that small couchOtherwise zero complaints about the stay we booked for next year that’s how much we enjoyed it, maybe they’ll have like a big sectional couch in there there’s definitely roomMike was very attentive to our needs as well always asking if the hot tub is hot enough, and any issues we had which were none he was there in an instant, that was the only time we seen them is when we asked to have the hot tub turned up a bit in the evening, you definitely had your privacy

The suite is spacious and clean and the pastoral property is a feast for the eyes. I enjoyed seeing the neighbour's horses and cows graze right at the fence line. Every evening wpe enjoyed the fenced outside pool and hot tub and had so much fun throwing a ball for our dog while we swam because he could be free to play. The hosts gave us lots of privacy but replied right away to any questions. They even saved the day by giving me milk for coffee in the morning when I realized I had forgotten mine. Overall a perfect place to relax and dog friendly too!

This was our fourth time staying at this property. We love the space. Large suite. The views are spectacular. It’s the perfect glamping spot. Barbecue pool side, comfortable beds. Large shower. We will be back!

Breathtaking views. Immaculate and comfortable accomodations. Pool & patio area were enjoyed & used daily. Owners were always available & offered friendly advice when asked. Cherished memories were made here. Loved every moment and would book again when in BC.

A perfect mountain break

The place is amazing. You wake up to mountain views, can soak in the hot tub and then go for a walk and just slow down. Great getaway to reset from fast paced city life. Very spacious and has all amenities

Staycation families dream about!

This property is amazing! Views from the pool and jacuzzi will have you believing you’re in your own private park. The gorgeous flowers, greenery and Mountain View’s are breathtaking. The outdoor seating poolside with the bbq is awesome for summer cooking. The inside suite is well equipped for multiple guests. The hosts are amazing. Always available, but never intrusive. A true home away from home!

Awesome vacation

Our stay at Carola's place was absolutely amazing. The suite was so spacious and fully equipped with everything we could every need. The pool and hottub was beautiful and very much enjoyed by everyone in our group. The view overlooking the country side and mountains was never tiring. I highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway if you need a break from your routine. Carola and Paul are great hosts and respond instantly to any questions or requests. Would not hesitate to stay here again if we return to the Chilliwack area

Mountain View Bliss

My wife and I and our kids (9 & 3) absolutely loved our stay. Paul and Carola were gracious and accommodating hosts. The home and grounds are stunning. To top it off my daughter was in heaven in the gorgeous pool. The area is beautiful mountainous farmland with nearby trails, lakes and parks. We will definitely be returning.

An oasis for city folk!

Property was beautiful! Peaceful. All the amenities you can think of. Kitchen had absolutely everything, lots of towels and linens. Most comfortable stay in a vacation rental I’ve ever had. Hosts were kind and helpful with whatever we needed. Will book longer next time!

Already booked for next year

Wonderful, quiet nature setting with a beautiful view of the mountain. The pool was refreshing . We barbecued and just enjoyed some summer lounging. The suite remains cool inside even when hot outside. Looking forward to next years stay.

Amazing view with amazing hosts

We had an amazing time during our stay! Carola is so fast to reply to any question and very accommodating. The house and amenities are more than I've ever had. And the view, it was spectacular 😍
