Get ready to be “wowed” by this fully refurbished and updated historical gem, true "high society" mountain style retreat. Cotswold Overlook was named for the English style of architecture, historically known as a "Cotswold Cottage" or "Tudor Cottage". A Cotswold style home incorporates steep arch gables, and arched doorways as common features of the Cotswold style. Walls are usually sided in brick, stone, or stucco, and rooms are often small and irregularly shaped. Cotswold houses often have a prominent chimney, often near the front door of the house. This gem also incorporates the feel of English gardens as you enter and enjoy the home.
With hardwood walls, stone, fireplaces, impeccable attention to historical details and hard wood floors, you will immediately feel at home at Cotswold Overlook. (That is of course if you can tear yourself away from the expansive porch & soaking in the spectacle of the Blue Ridge Mountains, & actually venture inside!) The great room, with plenty of space to unwind, and fully equipped kitchen, is where everyone will want to gather to enjoy their time together inside the house. But, if you need some “alone time”, there is plenty of space inside and out to find your own serenity. There are 3 outside porches, decks, and patios with gardens and walking trails throughout the 5+ acres for ultimate outdoor relaxation.
There is also the outdoor fire-pit to enjoy. The expansive outdoor spaces are just off the Kitchen/Great Room & out the front door, and off the rear terrace level. All of these afford additional outdoor space to relax & unwind. Everyone enjoys the covered patio, you can pull up a chair and take in the "sound of silence", observe the rolling river, the night as it fills with stars, and watch the fire flies come out to play in your backyard.
Take a seat and enjoy the sound of nature and the serenity in your own private paradise at the top of the world. There is also a private trail down around the property.
You are just minutes from America's favorite scenic byway, The Blue Ridge Parkway, motorcycle touring, biking, hiking, white water rafting, rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing, zip lining, Segway tour…just about any outdoor activity! Or, take a quick ride to downtown Asheville to enjoy the first-rate restaurants, shopping, galleries, spas, and entertainment.
