About Marjory Bartee
We feel very fortunate to be able to live in one of the most beautiful and unique spots on the North Olympic Peninsula and to be able to share it with travelers seeking to experience the beauty and wonders of this special area. We are located on several acres of land, partially farmland, partially woodland on the high bank waterfront bluff along the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Our views are of the majestic Olympic mountain range to the south and of Vancouver Island, B.C. to the north. Having a wooded creek as our eastern boundary, we are able to provide the unique access pathway to the beach below. All of our several vacation rental homes enjoy the use of this same five minute hiking trail which is the most treasured feature of our properties. Wildlife abounds in this natural habitat where deer, eagles, river otter, seals and more are seen as an every day occurrence. We work daily at our other businesses where we sell home improvement products such as appliances, flooring, cabinets etc. We strive to have all of our vacation homes reflect our enthusiasm for inviting, quality interiors so that our guests feel truly welcome and at home while they stay in our homes.
Why Marjory Bartee chose Port Angeles
We have lived on this acreage for many, many years and have gradually developed several vacation rentals on it over the past few years. We love this beautiful land and try to keep it looking it's best for everyone who comes to visit so that they will enjoy it as much as we do.
What makes this Mobile Home unique
This particular vacation home is the least expensive on the property, and best deal around. It is so quiet and private and when the deer stroll past the porch and nibble on the fruit trees, it is like a storybook setting. When the exquisitely beautiful peacock comes by everyone gets out their cameras!

Great weather and things to do nearby
The house was nice and clean. Situated between Port Angeles and Sequim there was plenty to do. Some things to know is that the beach walk is not that easy, we rented this house to be by the beach for our dogs but the hike was too steep for the dogs. We ended up going to a park in Port Angeles for them to swim. Another suggestion is for the owner to update the mattress. The mattress is in severe need to be updated. It’s very uncomfortable! Other than those two things our trip was fun we were close to hurricane ridge to do a morning hike and got some fresh seafood in Port Angeles for dinner.
Very clean and comfortable
Very clean, super comfortable, overall a nice place to stay.
Nice quiet area and home
We loved seeing the deer come by every morning! Such a nice quiet peaceful place to relax
Great location in the country near the water!
Well equipped manufactured house with pleasant interior. Outfitted with many extra cooking and cleaning supplies...check in before you supply.
Nice gas grill. Not fancy but adequate furnishings. One block walk to scenic overlooks, park-like grounds on the water. Beach access down and up steep path.
Beds could be more comfortable.
Short 15 min ride to Sequim or Port Angeles . Good access to national parks areas.
Good value overall if you don't seek luxury.
Steps to the ocean and lots of deer wandering around. Perfect location for day trips all over the peninsula. Everything was clean and well kept. The only thing I would have liked is a larger, newer coffee machine. Otherwise, a great, affordable stay and I would be comfortable recommending it to anyone.
Ideal place to see the beauty of the Olympic National Park.
This was an ideal place to see the beauty of the Olympic National Park. We did day trips to Hurricane Ridge, the Hoh Rain Forest, and the Strait of Juan de Fuca Senic Byway. The Lavender Festival in nearby Sequim was a bonus. This was the best time of year to see the lavender farms and all the wildflowers. The home was clean and functional. The second bedroom with the twin bed was not comfortable for an adult. It was just a 6 inch mattress on a metal spring bed.
The Hen House is between Sequim and Port Angeles, a few minutes by car to either town, yet is in a secluded location with a backdrop of towering evergreen trees where eagles nest, above the private beach where seals and seabirds are spotted as the waves crash ashore. It is less than two miles away from the paved Olympic Discovery Trail, the perfect trail for pedestrians, cyclists or equestrians. It is also only a five minute drive from the well-stocked Agnew Grocery and Feed Store which has a large selection of wines many from our local Olympic Peninsula Wineries. Because it is so conveniently located mid way between the two towns of Sequim and Port Angeles, in an area called Agnew, it is an easy fifteen to twenty minute drive in either direction to the restaurants and shops and activities that both towns have to offer. The world famous Dungeness Spit, the longest spit in the world, is only minutes away by car or can be hiked to along the shore for those who enjoy hiking and beachcombing along the un-populated, rugged beach. Be sure to plan your beach walks accordingly, however, as high tide can be treacherous if you are not prepared. (tide tables are listed in the local phone book)
