Lovely stay

The house was clean and very well equipped, nothing was missing. The location is near to the city centre, we could reach everything on foot. We enjoyed our stay in Harrogate and can highly recommend this house.

Helpful and fun stay

Moving to the area, Marie was a great communicator and helped when needed. No pressure to do anything specific when checking out. Great little townhouse to start to get settled.

Great Host and Good Location

Comfy and Accomodating

My wife and I stayed here for over a month while moving permanently to the area from overseas. Marie-Therese was lovely throughout our stay, offering to meet us at the property and arrange food for us since we were late from our inbound flight. After checking with us, she even left our contact details with many letting agents in town, and was always quick to answer any questions we had. The property itself was very comfy and the kitchen was well stocked with white goods. There is easy access to a nearby park where we were able to walk our dog, and street parking was almost always available. Overall we found the property very charming and convenient, and we would definitely recommend it for longer stays.

Absolute gem in Harrogate

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Artisits' House in Harrogate, N. Yorks. Marie-Therese and the her greeter, Clare were friendly, helpful and very easy to work with. The house is beautifully decorated, the kitchen is well equipped and the beds are super comfy. The house is just situated in a quiet street just a few minutes walk from the town center. My husband, parents and I are all agreed, we would definitely stay here again.

Friends in Harrogate

This cottage is beautiful - a short walk into the town but clean and beautifully presented. We were met with a very friendly host who put the kettle on for us. There were logs for the fire which we appreciated given the heavy rain in the afternoon abs we enjoyed playing board games on the evening whilst we dried off . Would highly recommend

Well-equipped, pleasant house, good location, good host

My husband and I stayed in Artists' House for about 7 weeks when we first moved to Harrogate from the US. Marie-Therese was very responsive and helpful, both before and during our stay, and worked with us when we needed to extend. We had no trouble getting into the house upon arrival (due to timing, we did self-check-in rather than being met). The house was very clean and pleasant, with a decently-equipped kitchen for cooking, comfortable beds, and a nice, enclosed patio which was safe for our cat. The location is convenient for walking anywhere in town, but on a quiet street far enough from the center to be peaceful. We heard almost nothing from the next-door neighbors, and little from the surrounding houses (just one or two parties on weekends over the entire stay, some kids playing occasionally). I would recommend the property for short- or long-term stays.

Our family started this business in 2017 with the intention of giving guests a memorable experience by combining some of the best experiences we have enjoyed from our own travels. We love welcoming guests to Harrogate and sharing our love of North Yorkshire. Being born here, I have lived most of my life in Yorkshire. My husband and I met in London and moved to Harrogate when our children were very young. We now have three adult children, two of whom are married. We are proud grandparents of three beautiful grandchildren. We personally meet and greet everyone and are on call 24/7, so you can enjoy your stay with complete ease. We are a local Harrogate Family passionately committed to giving our guests the best possible experience. Each of our cottages is individually designed to ensure your comfort.

We fell in love with the beauty of the proportions, the original features and the great location. The fact it has a designated sitting room, dining room and kitchen with a large outside enclosed terrace recommended this property to us. It's located on one of the prettiest streets in central Harrogate, close to everything. Our guests consider it the 'best house of its kind in the town'. And we agree.

Just a short walk to local shops and the town centre.
Harrogate is a famous Spa Town with a Turkish Baths and Spa. Purpose built for tourists. So lots of good shopping and over 250 food outlets. The town hosts International Festivals, Fairs, Trade Conferences and events all year including: The Gilbert and Sullivan Festival (August), Great Yorkshire Show (July) various Book, Film, Antiques, Bridal, Toy, Gift, Fashion and Sporting events - too many to list.
The RHS Gardens at Harlow Carr are easily reached via The Valley Gardens and Pine Woods - the walk starts from near the Conference Centre. The walk to Ripley along what used to be the railway starts near this property.
The property is ideally placed for exploring The Yorkshire Dales, local National Trust Properties, local market towns, the Lake District (1.5 hours by car) , Scarborough, Bridlington, Whitby and Filey are all great places for days out
There are 3 other Artists' Cottages in close proximity.
We accept up to 2 small/medium pets at this property - with prior permission. To be kept caged overnight. Pets are not permitted upstairs or on the furniture. Pets are charged £65 per stay) Guests to supply their own cages and bedding. Pets must never be left unattended at the property.
There are direct fast trains daily from London Kings Cross to Harrogate.
