We had a lovely stay in this cosy cottage right on Loch Fyne. It is a beautiful property and the host is lovely and helped with any questions promptly. Our two year-old very much enjoyed the playroom in the property. The views on Loch Fyne are stunning and there is lots to explore in this part of Scotland.
Enjoyed a lovely quiet stay here with my wife whilst our house was having some renovations, wonderful location, very characterful cottage & a very kind & knowledgeable owner, would recommend very highly & we shall be returning for another stay.

Lovely cottage
Lovely 100+ year old stone cottage, nicely fitted out with everything you could possibly need, Clean & tidy and in a good location for visiting the various islands. Val the host was very helpful in providing information on where to go and what to see etc.
Would we go again, most certainly yes.
As G. Bernard Shaw wrote when he stayed here in 1903 "The place is very pretty"
Beautiful cottage in its almost original state. Very friendly and helpful landlady. Great to stay here and discover the surrounding area. We went as far as Oban.

Ideally located for visiting the region, this charming cottage is a true haven of peace. Mrs Val Neville gave us a wonderful welcome, and her well-equipped house was a delight for the whole family. Thank you again for all your advice.
We arrived in the dark and took a minute to realise that the cottage was up a short path. Once in we found it warm and welcoming with lots of homely touches. Everything we needed was there. I was an excellent base from which to explore the local area with superb, less visited hills nearby.

Second Stay at a Beautiful Location
This is our second stay at the cottage but for a wee bit longer as we enjoyed it so much the first time. The setting is gorgeous with only a minutes walk to the lovely shore of Loch Fyne. There is so much to do in the area & the cottage provides a perfect location to explore at a very reasonable price. Comfortable, clean with suitable facilities with a country cottage feel. As always Val is on hand with advice if required & generous offers.
As always we are looking forward to making another return visit next year.

a beautiful and calm cottage with friendly owners. Relaxation at its best.
The owner is very friendly and the cottage is located quietly a few yards away from the road. Its small and beautiful, the furnishing is nice and in a lovley english style. Unfoutenately the covers of the armchairs were old and must be washed. WLAN and mobile phone reception are good. Sadly there arent any tramping paths near the cottage, but the Argyll peninsula is great and have enough possibilities to hike and visit. A place for great holidays!

A lovely cottage in a beautiful location
We had a fabulous few days at Springburn Cottage, which has all the facilities anyone would need and is very quiet and peaceful. Mrs Neville is extremely welcoming and friendly. The location is stunning, on the banks of Loch Fyne. There is a general store at the Post Office, within a few minutes drive. Just beware of the midges and take plenty of insect repellent and bite cream!! Citronella candles are a must when sitting outside in the evenings!!

The cottage had everything we look for in a holiday getaway. The owner was there to see us at our arrival and was extremely welcoming and engaging. We felt at home immediately and despite the inclement weather, had wonderful week exploring the area and sampling the local fare.

Springburn Cottage
Springburn Cottage is located in a very quiet and peaceful location, just what we were looking for, a good base for south west Scotland.
We had a very peaceful holiday, however, the cottage advertised, bears no resemblance to the cottage today, ie : overgrown.
This cottage requires a clean in order to bring it up to a normal standard. As instructed we stripped the bedding and found to our dismay that a quilt was soiled with blood and pillows stained!
This is a lovely cottage in a good location but has been neglected, a pity.
Overall the cottage was well equipped.

Springburn
The cottage is ideally situated for exploring the area. It suited all our needs. The steep stairs may be a challenge for elderly people, but it is in an ideal location for relaxation. The host was very friendly and helpful with lots of useful local knowledge.

Gorgeous place
Lovely little cottage. I marked it down on comfort simply cause my 6 foot + husband was to tall for the beds. Place would benefit from a welcome folder including things like local supermarkets and petrol stations (just a suggestion) but honestly, we couldn’t be made more welcome.

Fantastic location for discovering Argyll and Bute
Cottage was situated just at the outskirts of Strachur which was perfect as Loch Fyne was just the place we wanted to visit. It was our second trip to the area and definitely the best. It is self catering option but there is plenty opportunities to dine outside so unless you are picky there is always somewhere to eat if local cuisine is your thing. Lots of hiking trails, even for families with kids, starting with Inveraray and ending with adventurous climb on top of the Creagan an Eich.
Hosts are very welcoming and helpful, gave us great overview of what is in the area, even places we would never thought visiting. Cottage is neat and tidy, hidden well from the road so you don't even notice anything at all. Stone throw away distance from the Loch is perfect opportunity to walk to the Inn along the shore - you never know what you can find.
I fully recommend this place.

Sprinburn
A lovely, pretty little cottage in a great location and only 100 metres or so from the loch, where we swam twice a day. Benefits from having the owner next door, who was helpful and friendly throughout. Smelt of damp a bit in the lounge and there is not a lot of amenities close by, with the best beaches and walks half an hour drive, though there is a great pub close. All in all, well worth the money and I would go back.
