We were warmly welcomed by Andrea with a bottle of wine and a helpful orientation to the apartment and the city of Florence. We loved this apartment as a home base. It is well appointed with a grocery store and restaurants nearby that kept us well fed. The walk to all the sites was manageable and lovely.Would definitely recommend!
The apartment was clean and well decorated. The host met us at the door with a bottle of wine as a welcoming gift. He also assisted with transportation when requested. The location was perfect for our needs as the neighborhood was quiet but close enough to all the sites we wished to visit. We are very happy with our choice!
Nice Place. Good location, but was a bit musty/Damp. Might be due to heat in Rome.

Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
WAY To Far From City Center
This apartment has pros and cons. The pros: Apartment is clean and spacious and the host is very kind and helpful. The cons: The listing is VERY inaccurate when it states it is in the “heart” of Florence. It is NOT. It is a €20-€25 taxi ride from the heart of Florence EACH WAY unless you want to walk about 1.1 to 1.3 MILES each way. That wouldn’t be terrible unless you walk around the Uffizi and downtown about 4 to 5 miles and then add the 2.5 miles round trip walk to get to and from “home.” The major attractions like the Duomo, Gallérie Academia, Uffizi, Ponte Vecchio, Boboli Gardens, Pitti Palace are FAR from this apartment. We are reasonably fit and walked about 7 to 8 miles every day but it would have been SO much nicer if this apartment was actually IN the heart of Florence as it is advertised. We stayed 12 nights and after a week we began paying the €20 for a taxi to take us to town every day just to shorten our daily walk by a mile and a half. It was disheartening at the end of the day after touring and walking 5-7 miles to have ANOTHER 20-25 minute boring walk just to get home when we were already tired. Also, if we had been in the “heart” of Florence, it would have been really nice to break up the day by stopping into an apartment for a snack or a rest and then going out again for the evening. This apartment is WAY to far from downtown to do that. We simply missed out the evening sights and nightlife. Stay much closer to downtown or you’ll regret it.

Dear Steve , thank you for the nice review you have given to my apartment . The apartment is quite large, so large that I gave you two bathrooms for 2 people, the towels were changed almost daily, you had people not declared in the booking arrive, you requested parcels to arrive in the house from amazon, all of which I accepted and did. Then put 3 stars for the distance? I would like to point out that in the description of the apartment there is also a map where the apartment is located, which you have not looked at. You had to get an apartment in Piazza Duomo and pay double the money and maybe you didn't have to drive 10 minutes to get home. The truth is that we want to spend little and have the services, my advice is to read the descriptions of the apartments.
The property was exactly as described and in the pictures. It was a great place to use as our base while we toured Florence, Pisa, Lucca, and the Chianti wine region. We found great food options within walking distance, great shopping, and awesome Florence experiences. We would definitely stay there again when we visit Florence
