Why Emilio chose Montespertoli
It is a unique space, in a Florentine countryside village in the Chianti area. With my family we have lived in this house for many years. Now we have decided to make it available.
What makes this House unique
Ideal for families, friends, couples. I love my house, in winter because there is a fireplace in the kitchen and a wood stove, in summer because it remains really cold inside! The walls, in fact, are very thick and are part of a medieval church dating back to the 1300s adjacent to the house. The location is suitable for visiting the wineries in the area where famous wines are produced and the art cities of Tuscany, easily reachable by car.

Quintessential Tuscan experience
A lovely house, nestled in the Tuscan hills surrounded by vineyards. It is situated near to the Trattoria Montalbino where truffles and wild mushrooms are aplenty. Fabio and his wife made us feel very welcome. Overall a wonderful experience.
The Via Trecento is a long road that crosses the "three magical hills" where vineyards are cultivated and red and white wine is produced. Barberinuzzo, Trecento and Montalbino, are the three villages of the "City of Wine": Montespertoli, famous for the "Wine Festival" which takes place every year, in early summer. Three hundred is the village on the central hill, from which this street takes its name. In the past it was a flourishing center of agriculture, tradition and exchange. Today it is socially valued and rediscovered for horticulture, wine, parties and summer events, restaurants, selling organic products: a beautiful reality in our Montespertolese territory!
Why it is called Trecento is not known with certainty ... Who "because we are on three hills", or "we are three hundred meters above sea level", or "from the 360 ° panorama of the church, we see three hundred little houses all around". Weird Stuff!(:
Just 25 km from Florence, 45 km from Siena, on the ancient road to Volterra, it is definitely worth a stop in Certaldo (10 km) and San Gimignano (20 km). I recommend visiting the "I Lecci" Wine Museum in Montespertoli. I recommend the use of a car navigator.
