Country House Nazzano is a characteristic stone farmhouse located in one of the most beautiful areas of central Tuscany, among olive groves and vineyards, near San Gimignano, Siena and Florence. The carefully restored house has retained its original features. It is furnished with antique furniture and the atmosphere is very warm and hospitable.
The immersive panorama of the Chianti hills is dominated by the historic towers of San Gimignano and the medieval village of Certaldo Alto.
Ideal for a holiday in a quiet, historic setting in the heart of Tuscany with easy access to the main cultural and artistic sites.

The apartment 'La Rondine' 70 sqm. approx. (2 + 2 guests) is located on the ground floor with a separate entrance and private garden.
It consists of a large living-dining room with fireplace and double sofa bed.
The fully equipped kitchen has everything needed for cooking (fridge, dishwasher, five burner stove, microwave)
The bedroom is spacious and has a large arched window overlooking the countryside.
The bathroom with shower/toilet.
The ceilings have traditional beams and terracotta floors.
Private panoramic garden equipped with table, chairs and sun loungers.

The property is surrounded by one hectare of land planted with olive trees, available to guests
You can enjoy a magnificent panorama of the surrounding countryside

It consists of a large large living room and a fully equipped kitchen, a large double bedroom, en suite bathroom and a comfortable double sofa bed in the living room.

In the garden for exclusive use there is a relaxation area equipped with a mini swimming pool, deckchairs and sun loungers where you can admire the view at sunset with a glass of Chianti. Also ideal for relaxing and cooling off on the hottest days.

Idyllic Tuscany

Friendly and hospitable owners. Beautiful country views in a very quiet setting. Very central location for travel to different places and lots of helpful information provided by Miriam and Carlos. Highly recommended.

Hidden gem in Tuscany!

We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment above the main house. It was very comfortable and well appointed. The only thing missing was fly screens to stop the pesky bugs and mosquitos in the evening. The views are stunning and it is so close to many of the Tuscan treasures. Miriam is a great host and very accommodating.

Tuscan hills

Incredible! We met Lorenzo at a local café and he escorted us to the apartment. The drive takes you down a long dirt road, through olive groves and grape vines. You are "IN" Tuscany. He gave a quick tour and shared some ideas for day trips. The apt shares and old building with a second apt. We had neighbors, but it wasn't crowded. there is a lot of greenery and a partition between the two. You are removed from town, but within a short drive of Certaldo (groceries and shops) and Gambassi Terme (small hilltop town with a great coffee shop). There are many wineries in the area as well. It was an easy drive to all of the spots we wanted to see. The apt itself is comfortable, cozy, and well appointed. It has a lovely porch that we spent most of our time on, when we were there. Miria and Lorenzo were easy to reach and extremely accommodating. We have already started planning our next trip and we will stay here if we can. Cheers! Kirk and Michell

Nice stay in La Libellula

We had a pleasant stay (one week) with our one year old child in apartment La Libellula. You should stay at this place for the location: it is a very quiet place in a beautiful surrounding and well worth places to visit are reachable in max. one hour. We loved the views and it was a great place to play for our child. Our terrace was located in between the two houses (not with the nice views on the wine yard) and therefore very windy in the evening. The renters are friendly and helpful. The pictures on the website are according the reality. The rooms are nice decorated and there was a high chair and baby cot available. The apartment has little stairs from the sleeping rooms to the living room and a stone stair is directly ending in the living room (including stair gate). We missed insect screens for the windows. The apartment was reasonable clean, but the (small) kitchenette could be improved: the (small) fridge was not only cooling but also freezing (!) and the cooking furniture (pots and pans) are of low quality. In May, we loved the sun heating our apartment, however, in the summer, the apartment might be very hot as it is located directly under the roof. We had a lovely lunch at Osteria Pinchiorba in Gambassi a Terme.

Schöner Urlaub in der Toskana

Wir haben eine wunderschöne Zeit in dem sehr ruhig gelegenen Haus in der Toskana verbracht. Das Haus ist in einem sehr guten Zustand und sehr gepflegt und sauber. Miria, ihr Mann und ihr Sohn haben sich wirklich sehr viel Mühe gegeben, uns einen tollen Aufenthalt zu bieten. Die Umgebung ist traumhaft und mit dem Auto sind alle bekannten Sehenswürdigkeiten erreichbar. In dem Haus gibt es zwei Wohneinheiten, wir hatten die kleinere Wohnung im Erdgeschoss. Es gibt leider viele Mücken, jedoch sind im Haus ausreichend Mittel dagegen vorhanden, sodass man auch abends entspannt auf der Terasse sitzen kann. Tipps für Ausflüge bekommt man ausreichend von den Gastgebern. Für einen Tagesausflug nach Florenz lohnt es sich mit dem Zug zu fahren, die Anbindung ist gut ab Certaldo. Alles in allem würden wir diese Unterkunft sehr empfehlen.

Schönes Appartment in toller Lage

Uns hat alles prima gefallen. Liebevoll gestaltete Wohnung und Garten. Ruhig gelegen und trotzdem in der Nähe von San Gimignano, Siena, Florenz. Und die Altstadt von Certaldo ist auch sehr schön. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und heissen herzlich willkommen.

Entspannung in zentraler Lage

Wir hatten schöne 10 Tage Urlaub. Die Lage der Ferienwohnung ist einzigartig. "Fernab" der Straße ist man in vollkommener Ruhe von allem was nicht auf dem eigenen Hof passiert. Allerdings muss man sich den letzten Kilometer über eine sehr unebenen Feldweg kämpfen, was das Ganze aber wieder besonders macht. Wir hatten die obere Wohnung in einem sehr alten und sehr authentischen Steinhaus mit einem ganz tollen Blick über die Gegend. Mit zwei kleinen Kindern an Bord war die Wohnung ok, mit dem Außenbereich auf jeden Fall groß genug. Dank sehr lieben Gastgebern hatten wir ein Kinderbett, einen Hochstuhl, ein paar Spielsachen und das Highlight für unsere beiden, sogar ein separat aufgestelltes Planschbecken. Für Tagestrips sind alle großen Städte und Touristenmagnete sehr gut erreichbar!

Quaint apartment in the heart of Tuscany

We were looking for an opportunity to "get away" into the Italian countryside and this was the place! It's the upper level of a house (newly fitted with AC!) that was perfect for our family of four. Incredible views from the hillside, outdoor seating and a central location makes it an ideal spot to reach many locations in the Tuscan area. But the best part by far was the amazing hosts. They were wonderful at communication and assistance beforehand and when we had an unforeseen issue with transportation, they treated us like family! We could not have asked for a better experience and would gladly visit again someday. Thank you so much and best wishes in the future!

Una posizione fantastica di la struttura, coccolati fin dall'arrivo dai magnifici padroni di casa Carlo e Miriam, persone splendide e alla mano. Il nostro appartamento pulito, curato nei minimi dettagli ed esattamente coerente con ciò che desideravamo trovare per la nostra vacanza. Un posto accogliente e caldo, una vista mozzafiato dalla finestra della camera da letto su tutta la vallata. Ogni sera era d'obbligo una passeggiata intorno al piccolo borgo per ammirare il cielo stellato mai visto così neanche negli atolli delle Maldive. Consiglio vivamente questa struttura, ed è molto probabile che ci tornerò insieme a tutta la mia famiglia!

absolutely beautiful

We spent a long weekend and were so pleased with where we stayed. Built into the countryside, this home was as authentic as it gets. It was in great condition. Very clean. The owner was wonderful. I highly recommend this if you are looking for a quite place to stay. We did lots of day trips - siena, florence, etc.

Wonderful stay in family

We really enjoy are vacations in Italy. The place is really nice, quiet and clean with a fantastic view. Very close from the main cities to scenery to visit (Sienna, Firenze, San Giminiano, Volterra, Valle Di Chianti). Miriam and her husband are really great hosts, and we had a wonderful time here. We will come back.

Accueil chaleureux de Miriam et Carlo les propriétaires. Une maison très agréable, bien équipée, pleine de caractère . Une vue magnifique sur la campagne toscane, vignes, oliviers, cyprès que l'on contemple depuis la terrasse. Les villes de Sienne, Florence, Pise facilement accessibles. San Gimignano très proche. Very pleasant house and view

We found the house very pleasant and cool , the view at the front was outstanding and the garden very well kept .The house was well equipped clean and comfortable and privacy was excellent.. We were greeted by the sympathique owners who made us feel at ease . Siena , San Gimignano are close by but the old town of Certaldo Alto should not be missed . We found very good restaurants nearby and all in all had a great time. We would consider this house again if we go on holiday again in the area.

Fantastic location in Tuscany

We really enjoyed our vacation at La Libellula, the location was amazing, great views over the valley! Miriam and her husband were gracious hosts and took care of our needs with no fuss at all. All facilities were great, and the location could not have been better - easy train rides to Firenze and Pisa, and close to roads for Siena, Volterra and other fantastic places. Thanks!

"Accueil très professionnel de Miriam et Carlo qui conseillent et guident leurs hôtes vers les lieux incontournables ou plus insolites. Le gite est situé sur une petite colline au milieu d''oliviers et de vignes, autant dire, au calme dans un paysage superbe ! Sa situation en hauteur permet de profiter d''un peu d''air même lorsqu''il fait très chaud. Le gite est aménagé avec beaucoup de goût. Pour les inconditionnels de cuisine il manque peut être un peu d''ustensiles. Notre seul regret : ne pas avoir loué le gite du dessous qui bénéficie de moins de vis-à-vis mais surtout d''une grande terrase avec vue imprenable sur la campagne toscane. Excellent séjour."
