Beautifully decorated and spacious condo. Layout was perfect for us .. we had 6 people and never felt crowded whatsoever. All the beds …Including bunks …. we’re comfortable with nice sheets and bedding. The view was the star of the show. We have stayed in many condos over the years at Westwinds and this was one of the top few. I can honestly say I would want to stay here again as it is top notch. Platinum was helpfuland easy to communicate with. Very enjoyable stay !!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've been going to Sandestin/Destin for 40 years and this was the best condo ever. from the moment we walked in it smelled fresh and clean, everything was clean and in working order; we loved the decor (grandkids esp loved the shark motif); most well stocked kitchen and great views of the beach from the den and balcony. Moms Trip/Business Trip

This condo is just lovely! Well furnished and very clean… Beautiful! The view from the balcony was to die for. Even though it was cold and rainy, the view of the ocean from the living room was enough to make us feel as though we were on the beach! The location was perfect. Close to everything but not crowded. I highly recommend!

View is amazing and condo is spacious!

Loved most everything about this place and definitely will return. A few updates needed… dishwasher door is loud opening and closing, refrigerator inside bottom drawers are not operational because of counter, master dresser drawers not working properly. This is not a negative post because everything can be corrected. We loved our stay in this unit and it accommodated us very well.

Family fun

My wife and our 4 kids stayed here over fall break. We had a wonderful time! We have built several homes over the years and really enjoyed the decor and finishes in the condo. The view from the patio is amazing and I appreciated the outdoor furniture. The kids had lunch on the patio one day. The grounds were well kept and the pool and hot tub were very clean. Great bonus that there’s a bar and snack shop at the pool. We to several popular restaurants in Destin but one of the best nights we had was at The Beach House just 1/4 mile down the beach. Super easy to get a table and the food and service were on point.

Wonderful Stay!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 4835 Westwinds was a beautiful unit. It’s a spacious unit with plenty of room to spread out. It has stunning views of the ocean. The sectional sofa was so comfortable I’m looking for one like it to put in my home! The bedding was a bit minimal so if you like heavy blankets bring your own. Easy fix. We would absolutely rent this unit again! This was our first stay in San Destin and it won’t be the last.

Thank you so much for your feedback Valerie! We're so happy you enjoyed your stay! Due to COVID-19, we are temporarily using more minimal bedding that can easily be washed between each guest and have removed "non-essential" bedding items such as throw pillows, shams, and throw blankets as guest safety during this time is our number 1 priority! We are hopeful that the pandemic will be over soon and we an return to using the original bedding, which is amazing! We can't wait to have you back!

Spring Break 2021

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the second time we have stayed at this property for spring break and is by far our favorite unit at the Westwinds. The entire rental process was very smooth with the property management company and the unit is fantastic. My only complaint is that the master bed needs to be replaced. It is so soft and worn out that it sags in the middle. Everything else about furniture and decor is top notch.
Respuesta de VrboOwner el 25 de may de 2021
Thank you so much for your feedback! We were happy to have you stay with us again! While the owners spare no expense to make this property the luxurious beachfront retreat that it is, mattress comfort is subjective and the owners prefer a softer mattress. They did investigate when they came down after your departure to ensure there wasn't an issue with the mattress or frame and found everything to be in perfect condition. I'm not sure if you tried the king mattress in the second guest bedroom, but that mattress may be more to your liking when you hopefully visit us again soon!

Beautiful condo with stunning views

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our second time in this beautifully remodeled condo. Beautiful views, terrific location, very comfortable beds. Our only complaint is the management company...we couldn’t get anyone to answer when our water was off (a Friday at 4pm). Luckily, another resident helped us find and reset the HALO system. They also are stingy with dishwasher soap (one pellet for a 4 day stay), dish soap and trash bags. So make sure to bring extra with you, along with beach towels.
Respuesta de VrboOwner el 26 de may de 2022
Dear Audra, We are very pleased to have you as a returning guest of the gorgeous condo. I am not sure what number you called at 4:0O PM CST since our office does not close until 5:00 CST. We would have immediately assisted you in restoring the water to the condo since the sensitive water alarm went off. This system is suppose to help detect any leaks that might occur in the condo however; a small amount of water on the floor can sometimes set it off. We will be placing some detailed instructions in the unit so that guest will know what to do in the event it happens to them. We have decided to follow through with your suggestion on a few additional amenity items such as the trash bags and soap. I agree this would be nice to provide the guest with a few more housekeeping amenities. We hope to see you again soon. Remember, all returning guest get a 5% repeat guest discount. Also, make sure to book directly with Platinum Vacations of Destin to avoid additional service fees. Make sure to tell all your friends!
