We had a group of 20 (10 couples) and stayed here for 5 nights. The property was as described, clean and comfortable.Plenty of room to spread out and offered a great location for exploring this part of Scotland.Susan was a wonderful host and answered our questions in a timely manner, as well as, providing information on the area and local establishments.I would highly recommend staying here and would stay again if we come back to Scotland.

Family golf trip!

Communication with Susan was great from the start. Carlogie House well positioned between golf courses, with a quick drive, or nice walk to Carnoustie. Definitely recommend!

Amazing property

Staying here was like a fairytale dream come true. Beautifully presented and Susan made us feel so welcome. We enjoyed an early family get together for Christmas.We had family travel from America to join us and it was perfect.

Amazing Stay at Carlogie House

We had a wonderful stay (3 nights) and thoroughly enjoyed the house and grounds. Would highly recommend it as the house was warm and spacious and allowed privacy if anyone in the group wanted it. Thanks Susan!

Great get away in a great community

Had a blast and the property was amazing! There were problems like Too Much Water Pressure, and at time a little too idyllic. Susan was also great and i had a wonderful 50th

Lovely stay in Carnoustie

The Carlogie House was a great place for a gathering of family and friends for a holiday. There is plenty of common space to gather, and space for privacy if desired. The rooms were beautiful. Susan was a wonderful hostess. It is an easy 15-20 min walk to town and the townspeople were very friendly. Perfect holiday!

Amazing property

We had a wonderful family holiday at this stunning and special property set in a beautiful part of Scotland. Susan was a lovely host who couldn't have done more to make our stay wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble and she even went and bought extra kitchen equipment that we needed.

Family Celebration

The venue is superb and everyone from the children to adults and older members loved it. Plenty of space to relax and to party and very well equipped. The host Susan could not have been more helpful. We’ll be back.

Fantastic Scottish Accommodation

Our family, from Canada, 23 of us including a 1 year old stayed at Carlogie House in June. All declared it a wonderful location, with perfect accommodation. Every room has its own bathroom, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. We purchased food locally and on most days families took turns cooking. As well we hired Kirrie Dumplings to cater on two occasions. The wonderful open space allowed lots of social occasions and the games room was perfect for late night pool and fun.

Best vacation ever

We had a total of 16 people in our family stay here for 8 nights. This house was truly spectacular. The host was great. She was very responsive and accommodating. The size was perfect for our large family. We each had our own bedrooms. The house had everything you could think of. When we were leaving my grandson asked if we could stay for an extra week. When we find ourselves back in Scotland we will definitely book this house again.

Our group of 8 golfers LOVED the Carlogie House! Wonderful gathering areas! Well appointed and spacious kitchen! Fun outside space and perfect location! We all look forward to visiting again! Susan was immediately available and always helpful! Links taxi service made everything accessible. Beds comfortable and lovely decore!! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Highly recommend!

We had the best time! Susan is such a fantastic host. We had our wedding there and it was perfect from start to finish. She was very accommodating and helpful. The property is beautiful and well maintained. Rooms were modern and spotless. Hot tubs were a hit as well! Thanks for everything! A week we will remember forever!

Wedding vacation

My family and I stayed at this stunning property for a week. We arrived Monday and had our wedding on the Saturday. This property had EVERYTHING you could need for a small intimate wedding. Great facilities, wonderful location and the perfect hostess. I will forever grateful to Susan and Victoria (wedding planner) for everything they did to make my wedding day so special and the opportunity to spend some quality time with my family.

Amazing Family Reunion

Twenty five family members ranging from 2-76 years of age for the United States and England gathered in this beautiful home for two weeks. This spacious home and all the amenities provided exceeded our expectations - from the kitchen, bedrooms, dining and and entertainment areas(both inside and out).There were ample areas for family members to gather in large and small groups. This is a most exceptional venue. Thank you, Susan, for making this amazing holiday location for our family to enjoy.

Excellent!

We could not rave more about this property. We traveled to Scotland for a friend's 40th birthday and had a wonderful time. Susan was very responsive and reached out prior to our arrival, was there at arrival to help us get situated and explain any details. The home was clean, well-stocked and just as pictured. We were even able to coordinate to have groceries stocked prior to arrival. We highly recommend!

An exciting place to come home to after a long day.

Perfect for a family gathering of 20 people. It’s about a 15-20 min walk to/from the train station and grocery store (we did it a couple times), but I’d recommend a cab or a rental car to get around. The best part of the trip was the excitement of returning to the house after a long day of adventures, and hearing the constant laughter of the children running up and down the halls while playing hide and seek in their very own castle. So much to do both inside and outside the house. Looking forward to visiting again.

Perfect 10!

Our group of 24 included family members, friends, and some relative strangers - the set up of the home allowed us private spaces and lots of opportunity for group bonding! We left life-long brothers/sisters. Carlogie House had all you need and more for a group experience. Susan, the host, is amazing and super attentive to all needs. Thank you!!

We had been planning a family reunion in Scotland for several years and finally found a beautiful location that would house all 24 of us comfortably. Everything about this house was wonderful. A lovely walk to the train, pubs, downtown Carnoustie, a beautiful beach, and marvelous playground complete with zipline for the children. The hostess, Susan, was accomodating in every regard and aided us in our preparations prior to our visit. The beautiful grounds provided a perfect venue for a falconry demonstration that was one of the many highlights of our visit. Carlogie House was a home away from home for our family of all ages and an experience we will always remember! Thank you so much, Susan!

As an award winning Architect and Construction Company the renovation of Carlogie House has truly been a labour of love. We are a family business and we are all extremely proud of Carlogie House and all the work from the whole team that was put into refurbishing what was already a truly exceptional house.
We went to view this property in July 2018 and immediately fell in love with the building and the surroundings. Now the works are complete we love welcoming guests to this unique property.

Carlogie House is a Victorian Mansion House that has been designed with entertaining in mind. Although packed with traditional features its layout of large open plan spaces makes it ideal for social gatherings and different from the cellular nature of a lot of traditional properties. With a new kitchen in the heart of the social area cooking and catering will be a pleasure. If you have more formal entertaining in mind the magnificent dining room, with separate butler's kitchen, seats 24 and can be laid out for more if required or, if you would rather entertain outside, there is BBQ, dining area, fire pit, seating and 2 hot tubs all within enclosed garden area.

Carlogie House has all the original features and romance of a Victorian Country Mansion House with all the facilities and comfort of a fully modernised property, tastefully decorated in contemporary Country House style, the house has been equipped and furnished to ensure it is the ideal location for holidays and celebrations.
All 12 bedrooms are ensuite with the Tummel Bedroom having the second floor all to itself and the luxury bathroom in the Turret.
The layout of the main social space with open plan kitchen, living, dining and bar area has been created to ensure everyone can socialise together. From here you can spill out to the external entertainment space and garden with hot tubs, fire pit, external seating and al fresco dining facilities.
Located within 2 acres of garden ground, it has a distinctly Country House feel, although still within walking distance of shops, restaurants and bars of the famous golfing town of Carnoustie .
Its convenient location makes it easily accessible by road, rail and train and is an ideal touring base for the North East of Scotland.
