Vacker sjöstrandbungalow, på en privat halvö med sin egen lugna väg endast. Huset är ett archiect designat mitten av århundradet modernt hus byggt 1964 och nyligen kärleksfullt restaurerade och fortfarande i samma familj. Fem minuters bilresa från staden Oughterard (Oughterard ligger på N59 från Galway mot Clifden), 26 km från Galway stad.

Huset har 3 dubbelrum med flexibelt boende i två (tvåbädds- eller dubbelsängar). Den har 2 badrum, master badrum, Grohe regnduschar, enormt öppet vardagsrum och matsal med stor kopparskåp spis och fantastisk utsikt över sjön, välutrustat kök med stor SMEG kyl och frys, separat mottagningsrum, med andra 8-sits matbord för mer avslappnade familjemåltider. Stor trädgård med direkt tillgång till sjöstranden fram och bak och privat hamn på baksidan. otrolig utsikt över sjön, lugn och lugn tillflyktsort.

Connemara retreat

It is wonderful to arrive to find that everything is exactly as described in the VRBO listing. The house is lovely and well preserved. The views are amazing and the quiet was exactly what was needed.

Wonderful stay by the lake

This stay and area were the highlight of our trip. We loved everything about the cottage and location. Breathtakingly beautiful and right near the lovey town with everything you need to include world class coffee, and multiple outstanding pubs. Clancys is an absolute must as is Powers Thatch.

Excellent communication from owner, the photos from the owner do not do the views of the lake justice.Excellent location to get to Galway or the Wild Atlantic Way. Definitely need a car to get around

Good location

Overall, not a bad place. Good central location to visit the many attractions in this special part of Ireland. Amenities were good. The cottage could use some upgrades such as more comfortable living room furniture. The mattress in the ensuite needs to be replaced as well. The outside could use some sprucing up. This cottage has potential just needs a little tlc.

Lovely New Year Retreat

After a whirlwind tour of Dublin and Cork we found a refreshing change of pace at this bungalow outside of Oughterard to ring in the New Year. There was plenty of room for the five of us and it made a great landing spot for day trips to the Cliffs of Moher and Galway.

Peaceful getaway

The property was as advertised and very secluded on a peninsula. The lake is quite with great sunrise and sunsets. Mike (property manager) was easy to get ahold of and pleasant to work with.

Lovely stay

Beautiful location to relax, unwind and recharge the batteries. Amazing view right on the water, well equipped house with everything you need, clean and homely. Owner and Mike very helpful, we really enjoyed our stay and hope to return again some time.

Family Vacation in Ireland

The home was in an absolutely beautiful setting. Right on the Lake with Swans and fish highly visible. The home itself was very comfortable and had all the things we needed.

Perfect location on shore of Lough Corrib

Perfect location for Oughterard - direct access to lake with private jetty. Large interior space - plenty of room for gear etc. Well equipped; good showers; open fire.

Cozy quiet cottage

The cottage was as expected. It was quaint and quiet. The scenery was beautiful. Mike met us at the property and went through everything we needed to know. He followed up later to make sure we didn’t need anything. He was quick to return our call when we had a question. The beds were comfortable and the house had everything we needed. It’s very peaceful.

Beautiful winter break location

We enjoyed secluded and peacful New Years break. The house is in a fantastic location, with plenty of walking and cycling to keep us occupied. Mike, the caretaker, met us on arrival, and was extremely helpful. Highly recommended.

Stunning lakeside architectural gem

Had an amazing experience at this home on the shores of Lough Corrib. My wife and I really enjoyed the views and peacefulness of the property as well as its convenience to many local historic sites, nature walks and great food options at nearby restaurants. The team who oversaw our stay were great - Nick and Mike were very attentive and helpful with every aspect of our experience . We will definitely return for hopefully an even longer stay.

Wonderful

What a gorgeous setting on Lough Carrib! We enjoyed stunning sunsets over the famous lake. The house is spacious and wonderfully equipped. It is close to the friendly little town Oughterard and only 25 kms away is Galway. The house is a great base from which to explore western Ireland. The owner and caretaker were extremely helpful.

Idyllic Fishing Lodge

This is a spacious, modern fishing lodge set right on the edge of Lough Corrib, with stunning views onto the Lake. It is truly peaceful, so ideal for those either wishing to fish, or simply to have a complete get-away. It is very private with no-one overlooking you. If you are looking for peace, tranquillity, space and immersion in nature, this may well be the place for you.

Fantastic location

This property is situated on a quiet road to nowhere with an absolutely stunning views over Lough Corrib. The property itself has bags of character, and whilst it could do with a bit of TLC is perfect for a relaxing break away, the bed was super comfy which ensured a good night's sleep. Owner and caretaker Mike were a real pleasure to deal with and I hope we can come back again next year. Thanks for having us.

Unique Cottage in Stunning Location!

You can’t get closer to Lough Corrib without actually being on it! The panoramic views from this lodge are beautiful and it has really interesting original furniture, light fittings etc. The big open fire adds to the ambience and Mike the manager was very helpful. Great for fishers but also for others who want to relax by the lake. We will come back to this unique cottage.
