Newly listed Barn conversion

Sorry to read this. I have been in to check the flooring and cannot find any raised areas that would cause you to catch your toes, perhaps you could message me as to where this is so I can address the problem. Unfortunately i cannot do much about the bathroom as it is there to allow wheelchair access. Thanks Adrian

Thank you for your review, we appreciate all comments, either positive or negative. I will address all your concerns individually so there is no confusion. 'The directions I gave you lead you to a flooded ditch, which you only just made your way through'. The only directions I gave were to come off the B3227 towards Clayhanger. Even the most basic Satnav takes you to the village centre, and I had on the check in information said that we are not in the village centre. I would have hoped that you did not drive through a flooded ditch, and am amazed that you found one anywhere near the property. There may have been surface water on the roads, but unfortunately I am unable to do anything about this, particularly as it had been so wet. The driveway down to the cottage, farm and house is concrete, whilst there may be mud on it you have booked to stay on a working farm. This means that both cars, animals and the tractor use this drive and therefore there will be some mud on it. You had no problem getting down to the parking and certainly didn't going back up, so I am surprised you mention this now. With regards to your cleaning concerns. We employ a cleaner to turn the cottage round and have, in our comments book, and on this and our other booking platforms, many comments on the property being clean and with good reviews. I am therefore concerned by your comments. You have already said that you used the downstairs shower room, there were 5 of you and a dog in the property. You have sent me a picture of a solitary hair in the shower. I did not find this, however did find a single hair in the sink, I did check the property after you had used it. Our bedding is laundered and I iron it. Should you have found a stain on it, perhaps you would have been better, to have asked for it to be changed, and any other cleaning issues addressed at the same time. Whilst I may have not been on site at your arrival, I was only at the shops, and my father, would have sorted the problems out or I could have done so when I arrived back. You state that you called and i didn't answer or return your call. We are in rural Devon and calls do not always connect, infact where I was there was no reception, but as previously stated I wasn't far away. I do live on site and on your check in information, I do say knock on the farmhouse door and do not say call me, for this reason. I am sorry that you felt that you was unable to stay at the property. However all issues could easily have been rectified if you had said there was a problem, instead you felt that the best action was to use the bathroom, consume items on the welcome tray and leave stating it wasn't to your standards. We pride ourselves on the condition of the property, and try to go above and beyond to make a stay on our farm enjoyable.
