Domaine du Ministre is an old wine-producing domain in a small hamlet of 4 houses at the doors of the Haut-Languedoc Natural Park. Domaine du Ministre is a 19th-century house full of character, with a history and a lot of charm. It is located in a 5,000-m² garden, offering views of the vineyards, the surrounding forests and, in the distance, Murviel-lès-Béziers. The only sounds come from nature. The 6 bedrooms, offering sleeping arrangement for 12 people with all modern comfort, allow for enjoying the holidays with family or friends. The barbecue is at your disposal for delicious meals, as well as a fireplace for when weather gets cooler! The large swimming pool and its deck invite you for resting in the shade or under the sun, and for enjoying the cicadas’ shrilling. The sea is 20 minutes away; the Haut-Languedoc natural park is at your door and shopping facilities, markets and, supermarkets are a few kilometres away. Domaine du Ministre is an ideal location for anyone who wants to rest, all while enjoying the region.

Beautiful location amongst rural vineyards

Enjoyed our stay in this charming house in such a beautiful location. Pool was great for all the family. As those unaccustomed to Mediterranean living, we did struggle a bit with mosquitoes and with staying cool at night and through the day. The property really needs fans in each of the bedrooms during the hottest times of year, - we had to provide our own..

A stunning old house in an amazing setting next to the vineyard with a beautiful view of Murviel

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay during our holiday with plenty of space for three families to enjoy the house and the pool. This was a great base to explore the region whether kayaking on the river Orb, enjoying the beach at Serignan Plage, or spending time in Beziers or Montpellier. The local market at St Chinian on Sunday was worth the visit (we went twice) and the local wines delightful. The property is well equipped and maintained and would be a fantastic holiday home for anyone wishing to explore the region. Thanks to Marie-Ange and to Clare and Marc for their hospitality.

Bel emplacement dans la campagne avec vue sur les vignes mais la piscine à notre arrivée avait des traces de moisissure dans le fond, 3 jours plus tard, l'eau est devenue trouble avec de plus en plus moisissures ... dommage pour l'entretien ! Autre point noir : le manque d'ombre sur la terrasse avec un seul petit parasol, résultat vous déjeunez à l'intérieur ... En prime le parasol de mauvaise qualité a cassé et nous a été facturé

Emplacement sublime, piscine chaude avec vue imprenable, villa vraiment charmante, pour un séjour (presque) parfait. Petits bémols pour les voisins extrêmement proches (merci à eux pour leur patience et tolérance) et l'équipement de la cuisine qui mériterait d'être rafraîchi (four à gaz, décharges électriques sur le lave-vaisselle).

Mixed experience

The house is big and situated lovely. However, the pool wasn’t very clean and turned green at the end of our week. The cleaning was terrible and the ceilings were full of spider webs and dead flies. There is no ac or fans of any kind that would really be needed on hot days. Also the bees found the weather a little hot and wanted to drink in the pool, making it a little uncomfortable getting in and out. The rooms are big and the beds are ok. The kitchen has a gas oven that was very hard to operate properly making cooking harder than need be. There are shops and bakery’s around to get everything you need. Had a lovely week but would not return because there are places that offer more value for money than this property.

Goede prijs buiten hoogseizoen maar heeft verbetering nodig

Positief: mooie, ruime woning, rustig gelegen en compleet ingerichte keuken. Negatief: geen ontvangst (sleutel in BBQ), de hele week niemand gezien. Geen instructie over het huis aanwezig (o.a. alarm in het zwembad), Gemiddelde tot slechte staat van onderhoud en netheid, met name het zwembad.

Wunderschön!

Wir waren das erste Mal Mitte Juni mit der ganzen Familie im Urlaub (Großeltern, Schwiegermutter, Familie mit 2 Kindern und Mutter mit Kind). Wir hatten alle Platz. Die Zimmer waren sehr groß und genauso wie beschrieben! Das Haus ist sehr kühl, perfekt für die heißen Tage! Wir haben geschlafen wie Babys! Es ist wirklich ein wunderschönes Haus! Sehr schön eingerichtet mit allem was man braucht! Es hat wirklich an nichts gefehlt! Die Natur ist einzigartig. Das Haus ist in einer sehr ruhigen Gegend. Die Nachbarn sind sehr nett! Man ist aber trotzdem sehr ungestört in dem Haus! Die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern war einwandfrei, unkompliziert und schnell! Vielen Dank nochmal! Die Strände sind etwa eine halbe Stunde weit weg. Wir haben jedesmal einen anderen Strand ausprobiert. Sie waren alle schön. Die Kinder waren begeistert! Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub! Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Lovely Family Home with Beautiful Views

We went with our families - one son, 2 daughters, 1 grandson (1 & half year old) & 2 granddaughters (3 & half, and 1). It was nice to see the house in the old style, & found the two bathrooms lovely. We were fortunate with the weather as it was hot daily so we sat outside. We found difficult to handle the fixed parasol (the winding arm was hard to wind). We felt that there should have another fixed base and parasol on the terrace or a very heavy base for the parasol to go in. The owners were very good at responding and did solve many of our queries. The swimming pool was fantastic, but it needs stairs or steps as our grandkids had to be in our arms as they couldn’t reach the floor apart from the 3 year old girl. But still we had to carry & put her in the pool. Therefore, I got the kids a paddling pool which had been successful. We, the elderly couple, did struggle to get out of the pool, but that is not the big issue! Everyday the grandkids had great fun in the pool in a paddling boat or aids to float them. BBQ was good but no rotisserie as it was being repaired! Most of the time we were at the Ministre as we LOVED being there, and did go to Mini Animal Farm which was just okay! Oh yes, there is another thing...it would be helpful if you say where we can put the empty bottles & cans as we couldn’t find in Murviel, but we eventuallly found them ...so please write down in the Le Ministre’s folder - at the bottom of the long drive, turn right & go through Les Roucans & over the one-lane bridge, the bottle banks are on the left side about half a kilometre from the bridge. However we couldn’t find anywhere to put empty cans or plastic containers (we eventually found one when we went for a drive many miles away). In spite of little problems, it had been FANTASTIC holiday, thank you very much.

Nous recommandons vivement ce petit coin très agréable à côté de Saint Chinian. La propriété est décorée simplement avec goût ; la piscine, la vue, le calme : un vrai régal !
