Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're glad to hear you enjoyed the property itself and that the incredible views and peaceful setting made a positive impression during your stay. We are sorry to learn about the accident involving the motorcycle rider in your group and hope he has recovered well. The access road is a mountain gravel road that can be challenging depending on weather conditions and recent wear, and we understand that it may not have met your expectations based on the listing description. We are continuing to work with those responsible for road maintenance and appreciate you bringing your experience to our attention. We also apologize for the issues you encountered with the grill, deck, and window screens. These concerns have been shared with our maintenance and housekeeping teams so they can be addressed promptly. Guest safety and comfort are important to us, and feedback like yours helps us identify areas that need attention. Thank you again for your comments. While we're disappointed that the road conditions would prevent you from returning, we appreciate your recognition of the property's unique setting and spectacular views.

Thank you for staying with us. The views from this secluded home are hard to beat. We appreciate all feedback and love knowing what we can do to make our guest experience even better. I passed along your comments to housekeeping. Hope to have you back again.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We always welcome constructive feedback, but we were surprised and disappointed by the tone and content of your review. This home has over 40 reviews and maintains an excellent rating of 9.5. A significant portion of our guests are returning visitors, which we believe speaks to the quality and consistency of their experience. Not a single previous guest has described the property as a "tear down" or questioned the quality of construction. That said, we take all guest concerns seriously and have scheduled a thorough inspection to address the items you mentioned. I personally communicated with you during your stay and you never mentioned any of the issues noted in your review other than the light bulbs not being consistent, a strand of hair that was found in the bathroom/bedroom, and a spot on a night stand. I offered to send the housekeeper immediately to address these issues and you declined my offer. We’re committed to maintaining high standards and ensuring a positive experience for every guest. While we understand not every property is a perfect fit for every traveler, we stand by the quality of this home and the efforts of our team and owners to provide a welcoming and well-maintained space.

Thank you for your review and glad that you enjoyed your stay at our Deer Trail property. We have to agree that the views do "take your breath away". It's one of the things that make for a truly special property. It's so easy to sit back and relax on the deck staring into the spectacular La Plata Mountains. We like to keep our properties in tip-top shape and already have someone set to look at the deck boards you mentioned. Sorry that your children didn't enjoy the bunk bed room and I have passed along this review to the home owner as well. Hope you have a lot of fond memories of your trip to Durango. We'd love to have you back again. Durango Colorado Vacations Team
