Leo was always accessible and gave great walking directions from the train station. The apartment was exceptionally clean. No bad odors. No bugs at all in October. Modern and pretty bathroom with washing machine and great hot water in the shower. Lots of stairs. Terrace was small with a Duomo view from a standing position. You can’t sit and look at the Duomo. Kitchen was clean, small and nice. We didn’t cook at all - went to the restaurants. Hard to sleep because of the sound of a pump running, because it’s a very old building. I would like to suggest to Leonardo that he purchase a more comfortable bed for the place.

The apartment has everything you need for a week in Florence. We certainly did not feel that there was anything missing. The flat was clean and the bed was comfortable. The location is good, as the flat is less than 10 minutes walk from the Duomo and even closer to the Central Market (groceries, eateries and leather) and Via La Faenza where there are lots of restaurants. Other reviews have negatively mentioned things we found quite acceptable:1) The stairs. Obviously a flat needs stairs if it is going to have a rooftop terrace in a district with three storey houses. After a couple of days you hardly notice them.2) The mosquitoes. Leonardo has done everything humanly possible to keep them at bay. All the windows and the door to the terrace have netting, there are mosquito repellent devices you plug into the electric socket and there is also a very powerful, rechargable electroshocker shaped like a tennis racquet for the few that get through.3) The water pump. There is a pump in a space that is near the head of the bed which operates intermittently when someone in the house runs the water, but the sound is not much louder than the compressor of a refrigerator and it did not disturb our sleep.Communication with Leonardo via the web portal was excellent, with answers to our questions coming quickly. And overall we had a nice stay. BTW: The closest stop to the apartment for the T2 tram to and from the airport is San Marco Università.

This was the perfect spot for us. The only negative was the stairs and we didn’t pack light. I have to say we knew about them beforehand but lugging suitcases up adds a dimension. So close to everything. Loved the terrace. Also the laundry.

Bad: Be prepared for mosquitos and little to no air conditioning. The instructions to use the AC were not accurate. The mosquito repellant plug ins were not effective.Good: communication from the host was quick. The location was in the center of the tourist area of Florence and easy to walk. The terrace had a great view of the duomo.Overall we would not recommend this VRBO. It was uncomfortable and the mosquitos ate us alive and kept us awake.

We enjoyed our stay in Florence. Despite the extreme temperature's and not being able to take advantage of the terrace, the flat provided a nice place to relax and cool off. Convenient location to the train station and several shops and restaurants.

Amazing view perfect base to explore Florence

We had a wonderful stay. The apartment was the perfect base to explore the City of Florence with all major sites within 25 minutes on foot, many much closer (cathedral 10 mins). The view of the dome from the balcony was amazing. The air con kept the bedroom cool during hot weather and being so central allowed us to rest and recuperate in the middle of the day when it was hottest. The apartment had all the appliances we needed and check in instructions were clear and easy to follow. We loved Florence and would definitely recommend this place as your accomodation.

Short city break

Good stay really enjoyed Florence, apartment was great loved the washing machine. Air con great only problem was the water pump was going on all night which was behind the bed managed to turn off the pump at night so solved the problem. But overall a great stay. Jon.

A mixed experience - lots of pros and cons

Pros...- powerful and hot shower- washing machine was good- large fridge - great on hob coffee pot- fantastic communication from host Cons...- every time we or the neighbours ran water taps or showered, there was a loud noise, at anytime of day or night, woke us up at night - balcony table was rusty and had no plants, so not as nice a place to sit, as we expected- it was cold, so we used a blanket in the cupboard but it had other people's hair, dandruff and dust on A mixed review, hence the okay rating!

Honest Review

I want to be honest and respectful about our stay at this location. First, I would like to state that the owner was nice and communicated quickly. We were about an hour early and he allowed us to go ahead and check in, which was appreciated. The location of the apartment was great and we were able to walk to all of the main sites. There are many many great restaurants, cafes and bars close by. As stated, there are a bit of stairs going up to the apartment, but that was not an issue for us, as we were aware and prepared. There were some drawbacks that we encountered with this lodging that I would be remiss not to note. When we walked in the doorway to the building, there was a nauseating sewage smell that permeated the hallway all the way up to the apartment. This was present for our entire stay. We had to leave all of the windows open in the apartment to try and air it out. We also had to purchase some deodorizer at a nearby market and used it frequently. The bed and bathroom were clean, but the terrace was not as ideal as pictured. There were containers of standing water & dirty mops and cleaning equipment left right by the back door. The other letdown was the state of the water pressure in the bathroom. We attempted to shower at different times of the day in hopes that it would be better and it was abysmal at all times. I was unable to wash my hair for our entire stay and barely able to wash off properly many times. Due to this, I would unfortunately not stay here again.

Great Stay in Florence

Awesome location—walkable to all the main sights. The apartment was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. Loved the local restaurants nearby. Host was helpful and check-in was easy. Would definitely stay here again!

First night in Rome

The property was clean and neat. It had everything we needed. Short walk to SM Novella station. Leonardo was friendly and very helpful. He responded quickly to all our communication. Would definitely stay here again.

Autumn trip

Start with the Positives. Great communication with host. We self checked in with ease. Location is close to the train station and within walking distance to everywhere. Some constructive feedback: I couldnt use the iron because the ironing board was not in good condition. Also, the previous tenants must not have washed the dishes very well because they were quite dirty and we rewashed everything we used. Finally, everytime someone used water (either in the apartment our neighboring apartments), we heard a hot water tank noise. Its not a big deal, but a few times during our stay it woke us up at 5am. Still, overall it was enjoyable staying at this location.

Great location!

Communication with Leonardo was great. He answered my messages quickly, and provided tips. The location was very central. Accommodations were comfortable and clean. Great shower! And the view from the terrace was as advertised.
