Great place less than a block from the Germanicus Arch

This apartment was very nice and worth every penny! It is beautifully designed, spacious, and very well appointed; the perfect combination of rustic surroundings with contemporary furnishings. The hosts, Janet and Phil, were fantastic. They provided maps showing attractions in Sainte and were happy to provide restaurant suggestions. We only saw them when we arrived and when we left but they were available by phone whenever necessary. That was very comforting. We can’t recommend this place enough!

Perfect location

Couldn’t have asked for a better location and perfectly located. We stayed with the most wonderful host who are available at all times if anything was needed. We picked this location as it was centrally located to all the different areas we wanted to go on day trips to, but waited until the last day to see the town that we stayed in and should have given ourselves more time there as it was wonderful. Great food great, market and a lot of history. We highly recommend staying at this location and give yourself enough time to explore the city.

Great hosts in Phil & Janet. Lovely apartment, spotlessly clean and everything needed provided. Located in heart of Saintes so within easy walking distance of all the town has to offer. Highly recommend.

Gorgeous property

Janet and Phil are perfect hosts. They anticipated our needs in every way. The apartment was comfortable and well equipped. If you want to be in the center of Saintes, the location is incredible!

Schöne und große Wohnung in einem historischen Gebäude

Wir haben uns in der gemütlich eingerichteten Wohnung sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Vermieter Janet und Philip sind freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Janet und Philip kommen aus dem Vereinigten Königreich, die Verständigung auf Englisch war also problemlos. Wenn wir das nächste mal Urlaub in Saintes machen, ist ihre Wohnung unsere erste Wahl.

Charme et calme en pleine ville.

Appartement spacieux et très confortable. Très bel emplacement au coeur de Saintes aménagé et décoré avec beaucoup de goût. Le calme règne, les propriétaires sont charmants et l'accueil y est très chaleureux. Nous recommandons vivement.

We have lived in France for 10 years, having moved back to Europe after living in Australia for 30 years. We developed a gîte at our home in the Loire valley and then bought and completely renovated a second house in a nearby village. At the end of 2018, we sold our home and moved south to our favourite town - Saintes. We have had a lovely time showing the Loire Valley to guests from around the world and now we look forward to sharing Saintes with many more.

Our property is an oasis so close to the centre of Saintes. Within the gates, it is peaceful but step outside and all of the attractions of Saintes are right there to enjoy. The apartment is spacious and very well equipped. Clean and modern but in an historic building, it is the perfect base for a holiday in the heart of the Charente-Maritime.
