Absolutely Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

We had such a beautiful stay in this apartment while we were in Rome. Antonella and Sergio could not have been more lovely. We were greeted with Prosecco and crackers which was quite a nice surprise. They were so communicative in case we needed anything during our stay. There are three great restaurants on this block alone with a Gellato shop at the end. We were close to so much and it was easy to get a taxi from the block or right around the block (as we did not drive while we were in Rome). They had the international program on TV so it was easy to watch news in English (among other favorite shows). I would absolutely recommend this rental to anyone looking to stay in the heart of Rome and I would rent from them again.

Great apartment in a great, central location.

  • 5 of 5

I stayed in this apartment in the last week of June, 2017 with my wife and two teenage daughters. I highly recommend it, and I would stay in this apartment again without question.

The apartment is walking distance from Roma Termini train station, and a shorter walk from the Castro Pretorio metro station. All of Rome's major tourist attractions are easy to reach by foot, Metro, or an inexpensive taxi ride. There are several restaurants nearby, although we only got the chance to try one - it was very good. There are also at least two grocery stores within a few minutes' walk.

The apartment itself is very nice - easily the nicest of the three apartments we rented on our trip. Two bathrooms, beds for four (plus a pull-out bed in the couch), and a washer/dryer in a dedicated laundry room, makes the apartment ideal for families. We were traveling light - carrying all of our clothes in carry-on bags - for the first time, on a 16-day trip; being able to do laundry was a necessity, and having a dryer really helped out. The apartment also has very effective air-conditioning, making it a real oasis after a day of walking in Rome's warm/hot summer weather.

Antonella and Sergio were wonderful to work with, too. We had a great experience, and we'll come back next time we're in Rome.

The Perfect Apartment

  • 5 of 5

The apartment exceeded our expectations! We spent 5 nights there and loved coming home every day. The design was the perfect blend of modern and classic. And it was spacious enough for our 2 kids and us to have space to ourselves. Antonella was a fabulous host and was always available by email or text during our stay. The location was great for us- a quiet neighborhood with 20min walk to the Spanish Steps and about a 10min walk to the Borghese Gardens. Close to the train station, but not too close. We would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Rome!

Fantastic stat in Rome!

  • 5 of 5

The Old Glassworks home is amazing!! Antonella answered all questions and is a very helpful hostess from beginning to end. The home is clean, well-stocked and attractive. It is in a great area away from the heavy tourist and crowds, yet close enough to walk to many points of interest. We loved our stay and will return soon.

Very nice stay in Rome

  • 4 of 5

Lovely loft apartment in nice area of Rome. Best for family with older children. Pros: beautiful architecture, clean, nicely decorated, well-appointed with kitchen, master bath, air-conditioning, great restaurants steps away, easy to get to metro, walk to Spanish Steps. Cons: little things like: owner said there was coffee but tin was empty, no soap in main shower, only enough laundry detergent for one load, furniture in living area uncomfortable, tons of light/fan switches so would have helped to have labels. Overall nice place to stay in Rome.

Owner's Response: I'm sorry that "little things" as the guest wrote, disturbed their stay.....obviously if they were arrived at the time scheduled (that they gave us ) and not more than one hour before, we could have bought, not only the coffe and soap, but also a bottle of cold prosecco or wine with Italian snacks as a free welcome basket as we use to... I'm also sad about their problem about switching off light but it would be really not in the stile of the apartement to put labels all around. Definitely we are happy that they wrote that it is a nice place to stay.

Rome’s famous churches, fountains, squares, museums and monuments start almost from the moment you walk out the door.

Walk in one direction past the Sir Basil Spence designed British Embassy to Michelangelo’s Porta Pia.

In the other direction you find the stunning Piazza della Repubblica off which is the equally stunning Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri Basilica, whilst Santa Maria della Vittoria, the finest Baroque church in Rome (possibly Europe) on Via XX Settembre and Via Nazionale are also all within a few minutes walk.

Keep going and you’ll be at the Quirinale, Trevi Fountains, Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, Campo de' Fiori and Colosseum and all the major sights in a matter of minutes.

Or take a different route and walk through the beautiful Villa Borghese towards the Spanish Steps and Piazza del Popolo and across to the Vatican.

The apartment is right next to the British Embassy.
