Why Tom Phillips chose Dardanelle
If you are planning a visit to Central Arkansas, and would appreciate a quiet stay on a lake then, "The A-Frame on Delaware Bay" is perfect for you. We are located in the Arkansas River Valley, at the southern edge of the Ozark Mountains. The area abounds in wildlife and mature forests. It is an easy drive to Fort Smith, a frontier historical town and two hours from Little Rock, home of the Bill Clinton Presidential Library. A day trip to Branson, MO, with its live shows will take about 3 1/2 hours to drive.

Better than photos show
Had everything there you could need. Room open den/kitchen that doesn’t show up in photos. Clean, clean, clean!
Liz, Glad that you enjoyed your stay, to bad that the weather didn't cooperate, cold, brrr. please come again with better weather. Tom
This cabin was awesome! The view is phenomenal!!!! The first morning there we watched a thick fog roll across the lake. It was beautiful. We were thrilled to be the first to build a fire in the new fire pit and the firewood was provided. It doesn't get any better than that. The cabin was well stocked with plenty of towels & bedding. We didn't have to ask for a thing. The owners were very responsive to any questions about places to eat & things to do. This cabin is ideal for anyone wanting to fish and for those like me that want peace & quiet. If I return to this area, I will book this cabin without hesitation.
Janie, We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay, and glad that someone finally built a fire in the fire pit. We had it built last spring and it just sat there unused, I wasn't even sure that it would work as designed, so relieved that it works, please come visit us again. Tom
Amazing lake views
We had a great stay. This place definitely has character and was super clean. Wish we could have stayed longer. The kids loved their space with a beautiful view of the lake. Our bed downstairs was super comfortable and we had an endless supply of towels (I always stress about not having enough towels). We were rained out on the first day so we took advantage of the board games. Our host was super knowledgeable of the area and gave us great recommendations.
Maria, So glad that you enjoyed your stay, sorry that you lost a day to the rain. Just book another stay and hopefully the weather will cooperate the next time. Would love to have you and your family for another visit when you are ready. Tom
A little piece of Heaven on Earth!!
We were so awed by the beauty and peacefulness of the A-Frame cabin! Sitting on the deck and watching the stars reflect off the water was so beautiful. Mountains surrounding the lake really made us feel small! We will definitely be going back!!!
Marilyn, I'm so glad that you enjoyed your stay and looking forward to your next visit. Tom
The cabin was very quiet and well stocked for our needs. It was centrally located for everything we were looking to do while we were on vacation. Tom is a wonderful host. We would highly recommend this location for couples or families.
Should we ever return to the area, we would welcome a stay at this cabin.
It was a pleasure to have you visit the "A-frame at Delaware Bay" We are so pleased that you enjoyed your visit and if you return to this area we would love to have you stay with us again.Tom
Beautiful lake view and sunsets!
We stayed for a long weekend with our 3 kids and couldn't have asked for a better experience. The home was perfect and there was plenty of room for all the kids to have their own space. Everything was clean and Tom the owner went above and beyond to accommodate us when power went out due to an overnight lightning storm. His eagerness to make sure we were comfortable goes a long way in our book!
There's a lot to do in the area and we'll definitely be going back!
Thank you for visiting the "A-Frame at Delaware Bay", we enjoyed your visit and your family is welcome to come visit us again. That thunderstorm was a little over the top and the fact that it occurred in the middle of the night added to the drama. Other than the loss of power for several hours until the utility company could restore service, we had a nice weekend. Please return.
