About this property

Quiet cottage in the Gers countryside for 6 people

PLEASE NOTE from October 2019 the gĂźte will be under construction: the first floor will be fitted out to offer 3 bedrooms, an additional bathroom and a toilet. The downstairs will be renovated: the kitchen completely redone for an integrated kitchen, a dining room of 70 m2. Capacity of the gĂźte 6 people.
The renovated gite will be available from August 8, 2020 with changed rates.

REDUCED PRICE FOR 2 WEEKS, 1480 euros instead of 1580 euros (price summer July August)

Authentic white stone house located on a hill in the small village of Mauroux with a view of a lake.
You will be charmed by the soothing landscape of the fields and the lake. Immersed in the Gers countryside you can relax and enjoy the gastronomy and culture of the Region.
The cottage is composed of a central corridor serving a large kitchen where sits a large rustic stone fireplace (with stove for winter), a cozy living room with two sofas including a sofa, two bedrooms, a bathroom with Italian shower and bath, and a Wc.
The house is also equipped with a baby cot with bars, a high chair, a changing table and a small bathtub.
On the garden side you will have a large table, a parasol and a charcoal barbecue.
A swimming pool (4m / 6m, 1.2m deep), surrounded by a large wooden terrace, is at your disposal. It is private and is linked to the cottage.
The cottage is located in a hamlet of 3 houses, one of which is also for seasonal rental.
Free wifi internet access.
In high season rentals are from Saturday to Saturday.

Nous avons sĂ©journĂ© dans ce gĂźte pour un long week-end entre amis et c’était parfait. ArrivĂ©e et dĂ©part super simple, les propriĂ©taires sont flexibles et Ă  l’écoute! Le logement dispose de 4 grandes chambre et a Ă©tĂ© refait rĂ©cemment, il est en super Ă©tat. La cuisine est trĂšs bien Ă©quipĂ©e et la vue depuis la terrasse offre un cadre super agrĂ©able pour manger.Piscine et barbecue viennent complĂ©ter le tout, c’est idĂ©al pour profiter de moments de dĂ©tente entre amis ou en famille!Notre seul regret : ne pas ĂȘtre restĂ©s plus longtemps Merci beaucoup!

TrÚs beau séjour

Le gßte dans lequel nous avons passé un séjour trÚs sympathique est tout simplement parfait. Le confort est omniprésent dans toutes les piÚces de la maison. Tout est décoré avec la plus grand soin tout en restant dans une neutralité qui permet de se sentir rapidement à l'aise. Les chambres sont grandes et les lits confortables. La cuisine est bien équipée et fonctionnelle. Il ne manque vraiment rien. La vue depuis la maison est magnifique et le calme de la région trÚs reposant. Nous avons vraiment adoré la cheminée centrale qui apporte chaleur et réconfort les mois d'hiver. Pour terminer, notre hÎte a été trÚs réactive et trÚs bienveillante. Nous espérons revenir profiter de ce gßte et de la région.

Séjour detente et découverte

Maison bien située dans un hameau en pleine campagne avec belle vue. Son emplacement géographique nous a permis de visiter tous les lieux que nous avions prévus. Confortable, trÚs spacieuse et trÚs bien équipée. (litterie, batterie cuisine ) seul petit bémol nous n avons pas utilisé le four car il nous a paru non nettoyé). Un membre de la famille nous a montré comment découvrir la piscine ses conseils étaient bienvenus.

Das Haus ist wunderschön und komfortabel und liebevoll eingerichtet. Der Blick in die Landschaft und ĂŒber die HĂŒgel und Felder spendet Ruhe und Entspannung. Super Ferienhaus

FĂŒr uns bis jetzt das beste Haus das wir je gemietet hatten. Das Haus ist wundschön. Die Aussicht einzigartig. Wer einen sehr erholsamen Urlaub verbringen möcht ist hier an der Richtigen Adresse. Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett, bei jedem kleinen Problem sofort erreichbar und wenn was nicht funktioniert wird sofort was unternommen. Die Nachbarn sind auch sehr nett und hilfsbereit.Wir werden ,wenn wir dĂŒrfen noch mal zurĂŒckkommen. Danke fĂŒr den wundervollen Urlaub.

A lovely visit

We had a wonderful stay in Le Piquet and would recommend the property. The house is beautifully decorated, very comfortable and the kitchen is really well equipped. The view and area and tranquil and very relaxed. We travelled with a 1 year old and while the crib, height chair etc are all fantastic, the pool area isn’t very child friendly and so I would recommend this home for this with older children and adults. It should be noted that only 3 bedrooms have AC and the downstairs living spaces and bedroom do not at all. It hit 38 degrees during our stay, so thank goodness the bedrooms were cold. The hosts were charming and communicated really well with us, thank you

Tout en quiétude !

nous avons passé une semaine fabuleuse dans cette belle location au milieu du Gers. Aurélie est trÚs disponible et nous avons eu un chaleureux accueil ! la maison est propre avec un équipement optimal. le cadre est absolument superbe pour pouvoir passer des vacances reposantes. prachtig groot huis met zwembad en mooi uitzicht

rustig gelegen, heel groot huis, leuk zwembad ( na zelf grondig gekuist te hebben ) zwembad was bij aankomst groen en vuil, je moet het zelf onderhouden, er is een robot voorzien, best iedere morgen in het zwembad steken

Delightful country stay with new friend Plucky

En Piquet was a very charming cottage on a farm in an area with lots of interesting villages within a 30km radius. The cottage was well set up with all one needed for a good holiday. Mr Eric, the owner's father who lives next door, helped us with whatever we needed. We fell in love with the visiting chicken, now named Plucky, who would announce, very enthusiastically, the arrival of our fresh daily egg that she laid in her nest at the front door...she loves it when you give her fresh greens and water. Thanks for the great stay.

Tranquil and beautiful Gers!

This is a lovely property, in a truly gorgeous and utterly tranquil location. The overall decor was beautiful, though the kitchen did let it down a little. Despite problems with the wifi, washing machine, a non-existant reception from and nonchalant interaction with the owner, we still were able to fully enjoy our stay. We appreciated the later checkout on our final day, an attempt we felt at apologising for the flaws in the amenities.
