great!!!!!
At first,Eadgar and Astrid are very, very kind people, they help you where ever they can and they offer great hospitality. The home has everything you need to have a great holiday on Bonaire. You can sit every night on the porch and if you do not want that you can sit inside the house where a constant breeze is blowing because the wind is always there to cool you down. For us it was a great stay, Try it for yourself and I hope it will be as enjoyable as it was for us.

Most Everything we needed
My wife and I stayed for one month to scuba dive. Property is exactly as advertised. Had everything we needed and more. Kitchen amenities were appropriate and well supplied. Fridge and stove were perfect for this stay. Even a small cooler was on hand to pack lunches and snacks. The stools for sitting in the kitchen were very uncomfortable, so we bought a plastic patio chair for$9.00 and that solved the problem. Bed was quite comfortable. When my wife mentioned that she needed another pillow and blanket, Astrid provided them. There is a safe in the room as well. We used the other bedroom for storage only. Living room was very comfortable, and the welcome gift of wine and nuts were thoughtful. The wifi and satellite TV worked well, however, perhaps an upgrade from the 17 inch TV to at least 32 inch would be a consideration (they were on sale at the Super Store for less than$200.00) My favorite thing was the ease of rinsing, cleaning, and storing dive gear. It Could not have been easier. There is a whole station in the back of the house design for this, including an outdoor shower. We used the plunge pool every day. It's actually in Edgar and Astrid's yard but they uncovered it for us anytime we asked. I feel that he owners have become our friends. They were exceptionally kind and accommodating,; always concerned that we were comfortable. Just a note of consideration: by our standards Bonaire is HOT all the time. The air conditioning in the bedroom was a life saver. However, being limited to only one room in the house was difficult. We understand that electricity is expensive, but on our holiday we would probably prefer to pay a little more for the comfort. In any case, it was a terrific experience and the hosts were top notch. We would rent again from Edgar and Astrid, but would probably not stay in Bonaire as long; diving is great but it's a little too hot for us all the time.

Beautiful Bungalow
This bungalow is the perfect home away from home. It was cozy, comfortable, and had all of the amenities that you could possibly need. Unfortunately we did not get to spend much time on their beautiful patio because it rained the first day and the mosquitoes really loved me. Eadgar and Astrid could not have been more wonderful. They filled us in with knowledge of all of the grocery stores and the best diving and snorkeling spots. They were even concerned about me being bitten by mosquitos and ensured that the inside of their bungalow was mosquito free. They were readily available to help and answer any questions that we had. They offered to exchange our towels halfway through our stay, although it was unnecessary. This property is in a wonderful neighborhood just outside the city. It was also a prime location to some of the best dive sites. We enjoyed visits from the donkeys that roamed the neighborhood, the iguanas that live in their tree, and a even a friendly cat that stopped by a couple of times. We cannot wait to stay with them again when we return.

Excellent house
Astrid and Eadgar are very kind and easy to communicate with. The place is beautiful, you will love lounging on the porch. Be aware there is no dish soap or toilet paper (besides first roll) provided, so grab some when you first stock up at the store. We had no complaints about our stay. The hosts are very conscious of energy consumption so be a good guest and remember to turn off the aircon when you're not around. Enjoy!

Home away from home
Wonderful place which includes friendly cat and iguanas. Close to many dive sites, convenient parking. Hosts are super helpful, friendly and welcoming! Bonaire now even has (plastic, glass and paper) recycling, which was also near enough to be easy to use.

Great divers spot
We really enjoyed our stay here despite the weather. We arrived just in time to catch an unusually wet rainy season. The guesthouse is equipped with everything you need and more kitchen amenities than most. There is no microwave for this if you that consider this a requirement. Very nice outside space and dip tanks for rinsing our equipment after a day of diving. I loved the parrots in the morning, morning visits from the iguanas, the friendliest local cat, and occasional wild donkey spotting on the streets at night. Our hosts were super and their friend Konstanzas was terrific and addressed any of our needs. There are two bedrooms with on bath, functional kitchen and living room, and good WiFi. We were able to watch the World Series on the tv provided. We are big Red Sox fans so his was a bonus. The place is located near Zhoung Kong supermarket in a quiet residential area. Airco in the bedrooms like most places in the Caribbean. They worked great. This is a bit of a low cost option and worked well for people that explore and scuba dive during the day. We would stay here again!

Perfect, Again!
This is the 3rd years staying at the Bungalow and our first time getting to meet Astrid and Eadgar! The stay was again perfect. Exactly what we need. Two bedrooms with a full Kitchen to cook meals after a wonderful day of diving. We love to grill out and use the porch with a lovely breeze. A hammock and lounge chairs have been added to the porch area. The owners are friendly, caring and concerned that your stay be perfect. So glad we got to meet and become friends this year. We stayed 2 weeks. We love the iguana's that live in the tree out back and Miss Kitty who comes to visit. The location is so convenient to the dive shop we use ( Wanna Dive at Eden Beach) and all dive spots to the north and south. The grocery store on the corner is great for quick stops to grab fresh bread, eggs, or lunches we pack for the day. The cooler provided at the bungalow comes in handy for our days out diving and sight seeing. We have come to love Bonaire and this bungalow like our second home. See you next summer!

Cozy bungalow with a nice porch
I found it nice that both rooms had air conditioning. The back porch has a dining table and a few lawn chairs in the shade making for a nice place to relax. Also the outside shower was nice after diving and a place to hang my dive gear. Say hi to the 3 resident iguanas and a pet cat!

Cozy, clean buglaow
We loved our stay in Bonaire! The bungalow was very clean and the constant breeze was lovely! Eadgar and Astrid are very attentive hosts. Our favorite place to hang out was on the veranda ~~ it is quite comfy out there and we spent much of our time out there! We were visited often by the resident iguanas while outside. It was great to be able to rinse our snorkel gear and hang it out to dry. Thank you for such a nice stay!!

Enjoyed my stay
The bungalow was very nice and clean and is within walking distance of town. I became fast friends with Astrid and Eagrad, the property owners. They went out of their way to help me with anything I needed during my stay on the island. I would highly recommend renting this bungalow!

Amazing 30th Anniversary trip
From the very first interaction with Edgar and our hostess Kosnstanze, the experience was first rate. The location was perfect for our trip and the wash buckets for our dive equipment came in handy. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home. David and Diane Ellsworth P.S. We loved feeding the Iguanas every morning.

Perfect Bungalow
This was our second stay at the Bungalow. Wonderful location, always a breeze. We really enjoy the porch for grilling out and having dinner. Also, an easy place to clean our gear and dry towels and clothes after a day of diving. The location is a short drive in either direction to all the dive sites. Our favorite this year was Tolo! We stayed 2 weeks this time, the hosts were friendly and brought fresh linens and towels during our stay. The neighborhood is quiet, secure and friendly. The bungalow includes a cooler for packing lunches which is great for our days out sightseeing or diving. It is also close to the local grocery store, Wanna Dive Shop at Eden Beach where we rent gear and get new tanks each day, and our new favorite restaurant Eddy's with great live music. Looking forward to our return trip next year. We highly recommend this bungalow, it is a perfect piece of paradise!

Adorable, Clean and comfortable and comes with a kitty!!!
Perfect location. Perfect size. Great deck for morning coffee and evening relaxation. Resident kitty to greet us every morning and afternoon was a special treat. So friendly, a great ambassador. Constant breeze makes the airco almost unnecessary. Really only used at night to sleep. Bed is comfortable enough. Never did figure out the TV, but we had WiFi and laptop, so we were all set there. Tiny ants were a problem. I know this is an island and we expect them, but, we were fastidious about cleaning and still had a hard time staying on top of the situation. Perhaps having someone come spray around the foundation might help? Only other complaint was the small fridge. We do a lot of cooking at home, so a full size refrigerator would be helpful. Neither of these things detracted from our stay, however. BBQ grill and clothesline were a big bonus.Thank You Eadgar and Astrid for sharing your home with us. We had a wonderful vacation. p.s. if you ever consider selling this place, send us an email.

3 week stay
As prior renters have mentioned the internet could be an issue for some. It was for us. It only works in one of the bedrooms since the connection is actually on the neighboring house. Nice mosquito nets in both bedrooms. We cooked most all meals and cookware was fine. The oven has no temperature settings. A frozen pizza or fries is okay, but don't expect to cook much more in the oven as it is hard to determine how hot it is. The local property contact is excellent and came to fix and issues we had. She is friendly and helpful. It is also worth mentioning that the mattresses are poor. One is queen size that sags both people towards the middle. The other queen bed is made up of two small mattresses next to each other under a sheet. Adults slept on these first and they are not as comfortable as the queen size bed. We switched the beds and had children sleep on the single beds. Outside space is nice. Charcoal grill was used a couple times. Would stay again if only a week. Otherwise, we need better beds for three weeks. Owner answered all our questions well before our stay. Good communication.

Cozy house on Bonaire
Our 4-person/2 couples group had a great time on Bonaire, and this bungalow was a perfect place to stay. Very cute, very CLEAN, well equipped kitchen, plenty of towels, warm shower (if desired), and located on a residential street that is quiet and felt safe. The bungalow is NOT in Kralendijk town, and it would be best if you have a rental car. But the bungalow is very easy to find and is about a 6-minute drive to downtown Kralendijk, with many restaurants and shops on the way. We are divers, and this bungalow really is well situated near the coast to get to the many dive sites on the western part of the island. Communication with the owner, Eadgar was efficient and reliable. He resides in The Netherlands, but the house is looked after by the wonderful Annemiek. She lives on the island and can assist you in a flash. And, she is a very delightful person. Oh, and I must mention that there are mosquito nets over the beds and screens on the windows, although we did not fine the presence of mosquitos too distracting. Nice outdoors deck, small yard and outdoor shower.

Everything we wanted and more!
Fantastic stay! Very convenient location, safe neighborhood. We were greated by Ana who was very helpful and readily available. Extra bonus was the cat!! Obviously not a stray, very sweet and lovable! And the Iguanas that lived in the tree out back!! Great diving, great amenities...only drawback for us was nothing to do with our rental, it was the weather, it rained allot and the mosquitoes were horrible.

Bungalow ~ beautiful breeze & location. Stayed June 24 - July 4,2016. Return trip planned!
10 day stay was wonderful. 2nd trip to Bonaire, in 2015 we stayed at a resort. This time we decided less expensive so we could stay longer! Bungalow has everything you need. Shower is perfect for rinsing fins, masks, snorkles. Other dive gear can be rinsed outside in large trashcan/bin & shower. Clothes lines outside to dry beach towels, suits, etc. The outside porch along the entire side of the house is the highlight of the bungalow! At least 5 of 9 nights we cooked outside on the provided grill. Charcoal/lighter fluid ( "carbone" I learned that word! ) can be purchased at Lisa's Convenience store on the main road; you will pass it on your drive around the island. A small safe in one room and locks for each door that can be taken with you when you leave, gave us some peace of mind. Please NOTE car smash & grabs are VERY common (ask any local dive shop). Take minimal belongings with you as you leave, DO NOT lock you car, leave the windows down when going snorkeling/diving. ESPECIALLY 1000 steps. We would always take one camera and leave one back at the bungalow to be sure if one got stolen we would still have some vacation memories. We put the rental truck key ( be sure to get a truck if you plan to dive Washington Slagbaai as you can't use a car there) and one credit card WITHOUT chip in my BCD pocket while diving. Local police will make copy of license to leave it in the glove box, don't take your license/passport. Bungalow has small refrigerator & preparing area, dishes, pots/pans, utensils. I recommend a few more knifes for cutting meat, vegetables & fresh fruit. Cleaning products provided. Bath towels changed part way through our stay. Please note they do not provide paper towels, napkins or toilet paper. I did not expect that; expensive on the island, easy enough to pack next time, now that I know. There is a small cooler perfect for packing lunches for the day, blue freeze packs are in the freezer. Bring a few baggies or containers as none are provided and hard to find at the local market. Small market on road to turn off to the bungalow, very convenient. Hosts nice :) met us at our VERY late airport arrival. Saw them one other time to fix gas stove line. Contact owner/host by email, spotty internet service; Kindle & Android work, iPhone won't. TV for our 10 day stay never worked. Friendly Iguanas to feed in morning, they love fresh fruit scraps. Jack the Cat is sweet, bring him treats . We plan to return in 2017

Good value for the price.
This property is a small 2 bedroom cottage in the residential neighborhood of Hato about 5-10 minute drive from Kralendijk. You will need a vehicle to access restaurants, grocery stores and beaches but there are a good number of both within a 15 minute drive. The house is basic with small kitchen, AC in the bedrooms, nice attached outdoor patios on front and side of the house with a fenced yard. The place was well maintained by the caretaker who came in once a week to wash towels and bedsheets and was very helpful with local information. The kitchen is small with fridge, stove (no microwave)and sink. Dishes were bare minimum for 4 people but adequate for people who wish to cook in the unit. Be aware that the owner charges a surcharge for electric power if AC is left running all day. This was a good deal for the price that was charged and if you're not looking for a lot of luxury this is well worth the money.

Cosy and clean house with a nice veranda and a great garden
Hato is a nice and quiet neighborhood, a few minutes drive from wonderful places to snorkel and dive. There is a supermarket and an atm just around the corner. The house is well maintained and clean and the airco in the bedrooms is very convenient. We enjoyed sitting outside on the veranda having our breakfast and most of the time preparing our diner on the bbq. The outside shower was nice and refreshing after a day at the beach, and to clean our snorkling gear. The variety of birds visiting the garden is stunning. Tieneke our host was very friendly and has taken good care of us, she has given us all the information we needed. We would certainly reccomend this house to families with children because the house is spaclous and the area outside is safe and nice to enjoy themselves. We certainly would like to come back and stay in this vacationhome again.

Peaceful, clean with a wonderful outside sitting area in a quiet neighborhood
We spent 2 weeks in Bonaire. We wanted a house in a local neighborhood, close to town but quiet where we could do our own cooking. The house was clean, had 2 bedrooms with a new air con, and great outside area to sit and have coffee and watch the birds. It was also perfect for washing out and hanging up dive gear. Astrid and Eadgar were wonderful, they suggested places to shop, dive and highlights of the island. We ended up cooking and using the bbq the whole time we were there because it was so pleasant!!!! I would highly recommend this if you like simple living in a peaceful place with wonderful hosts.

This apartment is really a house!
This is a new house built about 5 years ago on the property of the owners who live in a house next to this one. It is modern and has a full kitchen, two bedrooms(very new and clean matresses! with air conditioning), bathroom with shower. The living room (TV and internet) is part of the kitchen. It is situated on the fenced in property so that you would never know you are sharing the lot with the owners Eadgar and Astrid. Speaking of Eadgar and Astrid you will not find a nicer couple on all of Bonaire. Eadgar met us at the airport at 9pm at night with a smile and no complaints and took us home to the house which they had already stocked with some groceries so we could have a snack and breakfast the next morning! Throughout our trip of 10 days they not only were supportive and responsive to our every need but also became our friends. Now more about this house. The inside is all new and wonderful but the house also has a front porch on which to greet the morning sun and see the morning flight of 100 or so green and yellow parrots fly from their roost trees to where ever it is they go during the day. But wait, there is also a back door to the house which has a beautiful shaded yard with clothes lines in the trees and an outside shower as well. If you are snorklers or divers they also have large tubs and a hose to rinse all you gear in and a place to hang up your wet suits with hangers included. Astrid has planted many wonderful things in the yard and due to trees and plants you feel as if you are the only one on the lot! Eadgar and Astrid are very respectful of your privacy and coordinate all cleaning and maintenance to when you always have your house to yourself if you so wish. As for security the house does lock up securely, there is a safe in the bedroom but the neighborhood is nice and we felt very secure there. The house is about 10 minutes from the downtown and very easy to find being just a few blocks off the mainroad and beach. Most of our best snorkeling was conducted just a few minutes from the house and very nice restaurants were also numerous within minutes of it as well. When we return to Bonaire there is now where else we would consider staying than with Eadgar and Astrid. Out of 5 Caribbean trips these are the best accommodations I have experiences when you balance value, quality, privacy, and service. Thank you Eadgar and Astrid for a wonderful vacation! Dean, Jennifer, and Brittney
