A Little Gem in a beautiful village of Spofforth nr Harrogate and Wetherby

Castle Cottage is located in the heart of the beautiful village of Spofforth.

Our little Gem is only a 10 minute drive away from Harrogate and a few minutes from Wetherby. We have the wonderful Castle Inn pub a stones throw away. We also have Spofforth Castle ruin run by English Heritage. Spofforth Golf course for a quick round. Miles and miles of walking spots from the doorstep.
There is a regular bus service to Harrogate, Wetherby and Leeds. The local train station is about a 10min drive away.

The cottage comprises of a front cottage garden with table and seating. To the rear we have a secure garden for small dogs and seating.

Inside the property is a lounge / dining area, separate kitchen. One king bedroom on the ground floor, one double to the first floor and a single / double also on the first floor, bathroom.

Lovely cottage

The cottage is very comfortable and has been beautifully furnished. It was perfect for our short visit and we hope to come back again to enjoy the house and the local area more.

Holiday Stay

Long weekend stay

We’ve been before and loved the cottage and its location. We enjoyed eating at the Bistro and drinking in the pub over the road, literally out of the gate and across the road. Great location for visiting Harrogate. Thank you

Perfect little paradise

House was perfect - set in a very quiet and peaceful place a stones-throw from a good shop and an amazing pub. House itself was spotless and perfect for what we needed - beds were comfortable, shower was great and we had everything we needed. Check in process easy and the parking was also great. Can’t fault it at all. Thanks so so much - we will be back x

What an amazing house absolutely perfect in every way, beautiful clean gorgeous decor, the beds were so comfortable. Amazing location with a beautiful pub across the road, Knaresborough and Harrogate so close. Would definitely return.

The best VRBO property we have stayed in!

We had a little mix up with the numbers for the lock box, but it was no worries at all, because we had prompt and efficient replies from the host.Clean and comfortable, directly across from the Castle Inn where we had a divine meal.

Mews cottage Spoffoth

Spent 5 days here to attend a wedding in Wetherby. Beautiful clean cottage and very suitable for our dog with securr bavk garden. Plastic mesh inside fence. Opposite very nice pub and village shop. Spoffoth very pretty quiey village

Comfy convenient accommodation

Amazing property, lovely location, great communication from host and comfy beds. Perfectly clean, only the fridge and freezer could have done with a clean. Would have been useful for the soap/shampoo etc dispensers to be labelled as to which was which.

Pre-Christmas get together

The house was in perfect location for our weekend with family travelling from Leeds and Newcastle. A couple of friends stayed in The Castle pub, literally just across the road.

A week in North Yorkshire

Property slightly smaller than expected but located very well. Nice pub and little shop across the street. Very well placed with much to do in the surrounding area without a long drive. York 45 minutes away, beautiful countryside, Harrogate a few minutes away, good restaurants in the area. The best of country and city life available to you near Spofforth.

Really enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and well appointed. Situated right in the center of the village. The village itself doesn’t have a lot however it is a short drive to both Wetherby and Harrogate which have lots to offer.

We loved staying here!

We loved our stay here! In fact, it was our favorite place we stayed on our 2 week UK trip. The house itself is perfect. We also enjoyed walking to the castle ruins and having dinner at the inn/pub across the street. Highly recommend staying here!

Lovely cottage

Lovely cottage, tastefully decorated and well equipped. Beds were very comfy and good quality sheets & towels. A great base for exploring surrounding areas with benefit of local pub and well equipped shop opposite. Enjoyed our stay, thank you!

A very cosy home away from home !!!

It was an amazing little cottage , the hostess ensured everything needed was provided and catered for . The kitchen is very functional and the bedrooms really beautifully made with amazing comfortable beds . The hostess was pleasant on phone and in person. Definitely going back to that little village again !!

Beautiful Cottage

We had a lovely stay, I went with my parents and two children who are both under 2 & this cottage was perfectly set up & well stocked. It felt very homely & the owner has put lots of thought into making people comfortable. Absolutely fantastic, beautiful & clean.

Lovely house in a great village

We had a wonderful stay in this 3 bedroom cottage. The property has been beautifully decorated and has all the amenities that you need to enjoy your holiday. The location is fantastic giving you easy access to Harrogate, Wetherby and beyond to the wonderful Yorkshire countryside. The pub across the road is great for food and drinks as well. Communication with Georgie was excellent and the process for arrival and departure very simple. All in all a great holiday and we look forward to staying again sometime in the future.

Excellent location, excellent accommodation!

Extremely comfortable beds, beautifully decorated. Excellent location. The only negative is that it sleeps 6 yet the dining table is only for 2. It would fit a bigger table with 4 chairs - I would definitely put one in! It meant that eating here as a family was impossible. Otherwise great.

Little piece of heaven on earth

Words would never be enough to explain how beautiful castle cottage really is . You need to go to experience the warmth feeling this gives you . From opening the front door you would be blown away with the cleanliness and attention to detail that has been given to the property . Beds are so comfy , great shower , plenty of space . If we could of stayed we would of . Pub across the road is worth a visit . ShoP has a bakery which smells amazing they are very informative about their products .

Lovely cottage close to Harrogate with amenities on the doorstep.

First class- a charming cottage very tastefully decorated and clean. Great pub just over the road for an evening meal. With walks on the doorstep too and only 6 miles for Harrogate so found it a great location for our weekend away with friends.

Perfect host

Very clean and welcoming. Good nearby walk for dog and his humans at Spofforth Castle. A good hub for exploring the area.

We have busy lives with 3 children to entertain. We enjoy walking, exercising. Gareth loves his bike. If you would like to bring one he would be happy to take you out anytime!

I have to admit we have just finished refurbishing the property and we are so delighted with the finished result.
