Fairholme is an attractive, stone-built, end-terrace cottage, centrally situated in the popular village of Hinderwell, seven miles north of Whitby. With three bedrooms, two doubles and a twin, all with en-suites, it sleeps six comfortably. There is also a modern, fitted kitchen with a Belfast sink, dining room and a sitting room with an open fire to curl up in front of after a busy day. Outside there is a small front garden and off road parking for one car and unlimited roadside parking opposite the property, making Fairholme a great base for a lovely holiday.

Town: Hinderwell is a small, lively village close to the fishing villages of Staithes and Runswick Bay. Hinderwell was mentioned in the Domesday Book as Hildrewell, a derivation of Hilda's Well, named for the Abbess of Whitby who was travelling through the parish in a drought and was asked to intercede. Her prayers were answered when a spring appeared near the sight of the present Parish Church, and this spring has continued to flow from the hillside to this day.
