If you are looking for a classic cosy farmhouse experience you will find it here in this traditional two-story vernacular farmhouse. It is a newly refurbished comfortable bright farmhouse with some original features such as the green staircase and green farm doors, the fireplace with the original crane where pots would have been hung for cooking. Upstairs the high timber ceilings give a great sense of space. It has a large garden for eating outdoors in the summer and is cosy in the winter with a real fire lighting in the large stove. It’s ideal for a break away for a couple or two or a small family.

It is situated just off the Wild Atlantic Way, in the Reeks District, an area of outstanding beauty with lots of outdoor activities on your doorstep. Fancy a bit of stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking or hiking, this is the ideal location. You can go from Blue Flag beaches on the Wild Atlantic Way to the towering peaks of the McGillycuddy Reeks, including the highest mountain in Ireland, Carrauntoohil, making for dramatic views all around.

Living Area
There is a lovely bright kitchen with a wood table that seats six, there is a small couch and armchair next to the large stove, perfect for long nights of eating and chatting by the fire.
There is a cosy living room with several couches to sink into and read your book. Patio doors off the living room let lots of light in and lead to a patio area where you can dine outside or just enjoy sipping a glass of wine in the sunshine.

Bedrooms
This house sleeps four very comfortably, it has two bedrooms. The first bedroom on the first floor has a king size double bed, the second bedroom on the first floor has a double bed. Both have lovely high timber ceilings. The beds are cosy and comfortable with natural wool duvets and pillows, cotton bedding and luxurious mattresses.

Bathrooms
There is one bathroom in this home on the first floor with bath and shower.

Outside Space
The sitting opens out onto a patio area with kettle BBQ, the ideal setting for long lazy lunches with friends or a relaxing time looking out on the large garden and the hills beyond.

Zentrale Lage, perfekt für den Ring of Kerry und die Dingle Halbinsel, nicht weit von Killarney.Sehr gute Kommunikation mit der Agentur und der Housmanagerin vor Ort.Wir waren damit wirklich sehr zufrieden.Die Sauberkeit des Ganzen vor allem der Fenster ließ etwas zu wünschen übrig. Auf den Geruch im Haus haben ja schon mehrere Mieter hingewiesen, ich denke, da wir auch viel Regen hatten, macht sich dieser noch stärker bemerkbar.

Sehr gemütliches Haus, für 2 Personen reichlich Platz, allerdings braucht man für fast alles das Auto, da es auf dem Land liegt. Küche ist gut ausgestattet, allerdings ohne Geschirrspülmaschine . WLAN ist sehr gut. Öffentliche Verkehrsmittel gibt es nicht. Killorglin ist 4km, Glenbeigh 12km entfernt:

Schöne Unterkunft. Sauber. Gut ausgestattet. Herrlich ruhig. Angenehmer und netter Kontakt mit dem Vermieter. Danke für das Brot beim Einzug - das war sehr lecker. Und auch für die Ausstattung mit Feuerholz. Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Urlaubswoche hier, auch wenn das Wetter typisch irisch war. Dank Elektroheizung und Brennholz haben wir aber nicht gefroren.Das Haus ist Altbausubstanz und wurde modernisiert. Unvermeidlich, dass es deshalb etwas muffig roch, aber das ist vermutlich bei einem Gebäude dieser Art normal. Wir würden hier jederzeit wieder unseren Urlaub verbringen und können die Unterkunft empfehlen. Ein eigenes Auto ist angesichts der Entfernung bis nach Killorglin empfehlenswert.

Schöne Zeit außerhalb von Killorglin

Wir hatten eine wirklich tolle Zeit in Gleesons Farmhouse. Catherine hat sich um alles gekümmert und hat immer schnell geantwortet. Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich, gut ausgestattet, toll und ruhig gelegen und mit dem Auto gut zu erreichen.

The Irish Cottage

The Cottage was adorable. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of hot water. Nice Linens and towels. The biggest issue we had during our stay was the lack of important supplies. Items such as Paper towels, napkins, toilet paper, Dish soap and kitchen towels... The Cottage is managed by a Rental Company, and it appears that they were unaware of the supply issue. Once contacted supplies were dropped off. If you decide to rent, review with Management the amenities that are needed.

Sehr nette Kommunikation im Vorfeld und herzlicher Empfang. Das Haus hat alles, was man braucht, liegt in ruhiger Lage, tolle Landschaft, viele Unternehmensmöglichkeiten in der Nähe.

Zeer prettig verblijf

Zeer prettig verblijf in dit vrijstaande woning. Woning was bijzonder schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Goede ligging. Mooi zou zijn wanneer hier een kleine espresso apparaat zou worden aangeschaft. Dat hebben we toch wel gemist in alle vakantiewoningen in Ierland

Green staircase

The cottage is very nice, cozy and quiet. Plenty of room for four. Good strategic base to explore the Ring of Kerry, Killarney national park and the Dingle peninsula. Killorglin is very near for groceries etc. The kitchen is well equipped. This is message to all cottage owners: Families need a large pasta pot for cooking. This simple but important piece of equipment is missing in most places - true also here.

Gleeson Farmhouse

We loved our stay! Our host had prepared the house for us ahead of time and it was well decorated and comfortable. The farmhouse is situated in a quiet part right outside the town of Killorglin and is a great inbetween point for accessing both Killarney and Dingle. We would gladly stay here again!
