The perfect provence home

My family of five had a wonderful fortnight in this lovely, provencal home. 10min drive from the centre of Aix, great for some peace and quiet. We took a number of drives to nearby towns and enjoyed returning to the house in the afternoon. The house is extremely well equipped and feels very homely. Marie was an extremely accommodating host. Thank you for having us, we all absolutely loved it!

A beautiful property with just about everything

Set in a very attractive, wooded valley, there are really magnificent , wide-open views from the bedrooms, terrace and swimming pool. Although the property is on the edge of Aix, it feels secluded and rural. The house itself has a lot of character: it is solid and well designed, its well-proportioned , south-facing façade a handsome backdrop to the spacious and airy main terrace where we took most of our meals. Inside, the house feels like a much-loved family home. The décor is stylish and individual. The generous interior spaces are furnished comfortably and attractively. We found the kitchen well equipped and easy to use – Marie described it as typically Provençal. Had we eaten inside, the dining room is large with a whopping table. The grounds are beautifully cared for by a friendly and helpful gardener. The garden is tiered on several levels divided into adjoining spaces with plenty of well-kept lawn and several seating areas offering differing degrees of sun and shade– there’s complete privacy from adjoining properties. The garden is illuminated at night – perfect for enjoying long, warm evenings. The swimming pool is superb and very well maintained. The owners are friendly and charming, briefing us in full before leaving us to get on with our holiday. They were responsive to our queries; the printed handbook was very helpful. Marie and Jean Michel have obviously given a great deal of thought to creating a beautiful holiday home. There was a generous supply of towels for the pool and bathrooms, as well as toilet rolls and kitchen and bathroom essentials. There is no shortage of power points for mobiles and laptops. Cleanliness was beyond reproach. There is a useful medium-sized Intermarché supermarket a couple of kilometres away and we found an excellent Lidl reasonably close by. Our family group of seven adults spent an extremely happy week here. The property would also be brilliant for a family with young children. To us, it felt like a little piece of paradise.

Très belle maison, très bien placée proche d aix tout en donnant l impression d’être a la campagne! Marie et Jean-Michel très sympathiques et disponibles. Un super séjour!

Excellent séjour

Marie et Jean-Michel , nos hôtes nous ont très chaleureusement accueillis avec de délicates attentions ( cadeaux très appréciés) . Tout était parfaitement clair et expliqué et conforme à nos attentes. Une très gentille dame, sur place nous a rendu le sejour très simple assurant régulièrement le ménage. Les bonnes adresses de Marie et ses conseils nous ont fait gagner beaucoup de temps . Famille et amis ont été séduits par la beauté du site, l'âme de la maison ..Nous nous sommes sentis comme " chez nous". En espérant pouvoir y revenir un jour ...Merci infiniment Marie et Jean-Michel . Laurence et Quentin
