Beautiful property in a stunning location.

We booked this property to be near Aix-en-Provence for a family wedding. The location was perfect for this and the airport. Florence was very helpful and welcoming and spoke much better English than our attempts at French. Inside the house is beautiful, we had the entire house as booked for 6 of us, plenty of room for everyone. The air conditioning was very much appreciated as it was in the high 30s during our stay.The pool area was also very good with enough sun beds for us and a few of our family who visited us during our weeks stay. This is a working vineyard, the bottle of wine left for us to try was so good we bought another too. We didn’t venture out far due to the purpose of our stay, but would very happily come back here and do some exploring of the area. Thankyou Florence for making our stay perfect!

Top family vacation

The description of the house and its surroundings is completely accurate and gives a good impression. The house is very spacious, each bedroom has its own bathroom, and the air conditioning is welcome during the hot summer days. The kitchen is also spacious. The refrigerator wasn't working, but Florence immediately arranged an alternative. The WiFi didn't work (perhaps due to the thick walls of the building?). The terrace outside with a beautiful view over the hills, vineyards, and the pool is truly fantastic. It's a great place for a summer barbecue. We really enjoyed the pool. Some reviews mention a long unpaved road from the main road to the house, but it has since been neatly paved, making the house easily accessible. We had an amazing vacation.

Das Haus (wir hatten alle drei Einheiten gemietet) liegt sehr schön und ruhig ca. 10 Minuten von Ventabren entfernt. Die Verkehrsanbindung ist recht gut und durch die zentrale Lage sind die Küste, die Camargue und auch der Luberon gut zu erreichen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Florence war immer ansprechbar und hilfsbereit. Die Kommunikation im Vorfeld lief problemlos und einwandfrei. Gleiches gilt für die Schlüsselübergabe vor Ort. Merci Florence et à bientôt!

Super séjour !

Super séjour. Endroit paradisiaque: maison confirme en tout point à la description. Très bien équipée. Tout est là pour passer un bon moment. Le chemin d’accès est un peu compliqué, ça limite un peu les déplacements mais on s’y fait. Beaucoup d’insectes (pas la faute des propriétaires), qui ont un peu empêché de profiter comme il faut des extérieurs.. Propriétaires adorables, contact facile et bienveillant. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir !!

Endroit pittoresque et calme

La propriété est superbe loin de la route après plus d'un kilomètre sur un chemin de terre( voiture sportive avec faible garde au sol s'abstenir), vous arrivez au mas avec une vue imprenable sur les collines boisées et quasiment vierges de toute construction magnifique. Le seul défaut pour nous est la qualité médiocre du wifi qui est non accessible dans les chambres et uniquement dans la pièce principale du bas ,la cuisine (et comme le réseau 4G ne passe pas....!)

Nous avons passé un super séjour. Les chambres sont immenses, tout était nickel. La cuisine est parfaitement équipée pour cuisiner. La communication a été très facile avec Florence, l'arrivée et le départ se sont passé simplement. Une très bonne experience.

Florence et ses parents sont charmants. Nous avons pu goûter à toutes les spécialités du domaines, très bon vin, huile d'olive, confitures.... Les chambres sont immenses et toutes équipées de très belles salles de bain. La cuisine est très bien équipée elle aussi. Le cadre est typique de la provence, garrigue, vignes et oliviers à perte de vue. Le village de Ventabren, à proximité, offre tous les commerces de qualité nécessaires si l'on aime cuisiner. En bref, soleil, détente, belles ballades, nous nous retrouverons avec plaisir au Mas Bleu.

Pleasant, spacious house, had everything we needed. Conveniently placed for Aix and within striking distance of Cassis...although because the weather was so hot we spent a lot more time by the pool than we anticipated. Air conditioning was a real plus.

Cute and comfortable house, but very far from everything else

The house is very comfortable and Florence was very friendly and professional. However, there were things that future renters need to be aware of prior to booking. Pros: A/C works great. Sunflower fields are gorgeous. Beds/bathrooms are comfortable. Winery is onsite. Cons: Pool is actually shared with Florence and her family who live next-door. At one point, while our party of 6 was lounging by the pool, a truck pulled up and an elderly man, woman, and their dog asked if they could join. Being polite, our group said yes. The elderly man took his pants off and went swimming in his underwear. We later found out that this was the home owner's family, so just be aware that you are not getting a private pool. The drive to the actual house is a lot longer because you need to go up a winding dirt road. This is not a huge problem if you have a rental car and you have a lot of time, but we had one night where we had to be picked up by a taxi/Uber and there were no drivers willing to go up the dirt pathway. If you are looking for less rustic and more upscale, definitely book somewhere else. Also, driving 10 minutes up the dirt road one way every time takes a lot of time if you are going in and out to Aix or any of the nearby towns. Trash disposal was a hassle. There is no large trash can, so we had to take the bags of trash and transport it via car to a trashcan that is at the end of the driveway. Again, this is a hassle if you're on vacation. Plus, the car gets stinky. We were looking forward to cooking a few meals in the kitchen, but the kitchen cookware needed some updating. For example, the nonstick pan had teflon flakes that were crumbling and there were no other pans to use. Overall, it's a great house with a great owner, but we probably would have booked somewhere else if we knew exactly how far it was from Aix in real time and the small little details that were inconveniencing.

The right choice for our family

We, (me, my partner, our 10 year old son, and my partner's parents) were midway through our 5 week vacation. The previous two weeks we traveled by train to a few other countries staying in hotels/apartments for 2/3 days at a time and were ready to slow down and stay at a property for a longer period. In planning this trip, we liked the pictures we saw on Homeaway.com and decided this place would be a good choice. We rented a car in Marseille for the remainder of our trip and made the drive to Ventabren. It took us some time to find the property, even with our GPS, because the actual house on the property is somewhat remote. Once we arrived we were greeted by Florence. Florence was pleasant and informative-she recommended some places for dinner and where we were in relation to markets, cities, etc. During our stay, there was a problem with television reception which Florence had fixed immediately. The place was clean and spacious, it had air conditioning and a washer. Exactly what we were looking for. After two weeks of eating out every night, we were ready to fix our own meals, relax and enjoy the property. We took day trips to Ventabren, Aix en Provence, Roussillon, Carry-le-Rouet, L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Marseille, then returned back to the property for a swim and dinner. We found the local bakery and went there every morning and then in the evening for desserts. We liked the remoteness of the area and being surrounded by grapevines. The land surrounding the property is a work in progress and there isn't really a "living room" for everyone to gather, but since a couple of the bedrooms were spacious it didn't really matter to us. Besides we were on vacation and we were having a great time. This property was the perfect choice for our family. Thank you Florence for all your help.

Superbe Maison bien équipée; seul bémol l'accés par un chemin de terre un peu chaotique.

Nous avons passé un WE familial très agréable dans cette belle maison au beau milieu du vignoble avec des animaux à proximité ce qui a fait le bonheur de notre petite fils de 4 ans.Les 2 chambres très spacieuses chacune équipée d'une salle d'eau et WC sont idéales pour des couples et la possibilité d'utiliser des convertibles dans ces 2 chambres bien pratiques si l'on est plus nombreux.La 3 eme chambre de plus petite t-aille convient très bien aussi pour un couple.Florence a mis à notre disposition un lit parapluie pour un petit. Accueil chaleureux et disponibilité .Même avec une météo moyenne fin octobre nous avons bien profité de ce cadre en pleine nature à moins de 30 minutes d' Aix en Provence. Seul bémol l’accès par un chemin de terre assez irrégulier d'environ 700m mais c'est probablement ce qui permet de rester au calme! On y reviendra volontiers à une autre saison si l'occasion se présente.

Ein Traum - zwischen Wein, Oliven, Lavendel und Grillenzirpen mit Blick aufs Aqueduc du Roquefavour

Unser Aufenthalt im Mas Bleu bei Florence Rougon und ihrer Familie war ein absoluter Traum. Es fehlte an nichts und hätte nicht besser sein können. Allen Provencefans, Genießern und Liebhabern ästhetischen Wohnens ist diese Unterkunft uneingeschränkt und wärmstens zu empfehlen! Wir hatten für unsere Familie alle drei Zimmer gemietet und dadurch die gesamte Wohneinheit inklusive der sehr großzügigen Wohnküche exklusiv für uns. Für Familien oder Gruppen von 6 - 10 Personen optimal! Der große Esstisch auf der Terrasse direkt vor der Haustür und oberhalb des Swimmingpools bot sich an für herrliche Grillabende mit Blick über die Weinberge bis zum (zwar nicht antiken, dafür aber in seiner Größe sehr imposanten) Aquädukt von Roquefavour. Unsere Gastgeberfamilie Rougon, die im Haus direkt nebenan lebt, im Hauptberuf Wein- und Olivenbauern, ist eine sehr nette und unkomplizierte Familie. Vom ersten Augenblick an haben wir uns herzlich willkommen und die ganze Zeit über sehr, sehr wohl gefühlt. Merci beaucoup pour ces jour inoubliables chez vous, chère Florence! Nous sommes sûrs tous les sept, que ce n'était pas la dernière fois de vous rendre visite! De grands compliments aussi pour le vin et l'huile d'olive - par chance, on a sauvé quelques bouteilles pour en profiter à la maison et pour faire revivre des souvenir des jours lumineux en Mas Bleu! A la prochaîne!! :)

Traumhaft Entspannen zwischen Weinhängen und Olivenhainen

Das Weingut liegt traumhaft zwischen Weinbergen und Olivenhainen, abseits der Strasse (ein geländetaugliches Auto ist von Vorteil). Die Zimmer waren modern und gemütlich eingerichtet. Alle Räume waren angenehm klimatisiert. Wir waren 6 Erwachsene und zwei Kleinkinder und konnten die ganze Unterkunft allein nutzen. Die Küche war ebenfalls gut ausgestattet. Die Aussenanlagen waren zwar noch nicht ganz fertig, das hat uns aber nicht gestört, denn das Highlight war der Pool an und in dem wir jede freie Minute verbracht haben. In der Nähe gibt es wunderschöne kleine Orte und Wochenmärkte wo man alles bekommt was man braucht. Die Unterkunft ist auch ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für diverse Ausflüge ans Meer oder ins Landesinnere. Die Vermieter haben uns sehr freundlich empfangen. Vor allem die Hausweine sind sehr zu empfehlen. Abschließend muss man sagen, war es einer unserer schönsten Urlaube.

Beautiful hideaway in the vineyards

The house is a beautifully restored old mas located on the top of a hill surrounded by vineyards and Provencal countryside. If you are looking for a calm and quiet holiday, this is your place. The rooms are very large and elegantly decorated. The kitchen is well equipped. The pool area is fantastic. Some of the surrounding gardens are still a work in progress so it will only get better. The owners who live next door are very friendly and helpful. The close by village of Ventabren is picture perfect, it has some very good restaurants, there is a bakery, supermarket, fruit & veg store. Marseille, Aix-en-Provence and the coast are only 20-30 minutes away by car. All in all, we enjoyed our stay here very much.

En devenir ! beaucoup d'améliorations à apporter !

Les + : cadre magnifique et propriétaires sympa Les - : hygiène (lait servi périmé de plus d'un mois, confiture au fond d'une tasse, poubelle de salle de bains des locataires précédents non vidée, savon déjà utilisé par les précédents locataires), prestations pas au niveau (pas de kleenex, aucune lampe de chevet ou lampadaire, une seule chaise, pas de wifi dans la chambre, petit déjeuner sommaire ( pas de fruit ni de laitage) piscine non ouverte, beaucoup de travaux extérieurs en cours, chemin d'accès, déco .. En l'état, ne correspond pas du tout à la catégorie hôtelière revendiquée. Le prix de la chambre double 120 €, ne devrait pas dépasser 80 à 100 €, et en aucun cas 165 € ! Je ne doute pas que les propriétaires mettront tout en oeuvre pour se hisser à une catégorie en rapport avec le prix.

Ruhige, moderne Unterkunft mit traumhaften Blick

Das Weingut liegt ruhig inmitten von Weinreben und Olivenbäumen, abseits von Strasse und Nachbarn. ( Auto ist notwendig) Die Zimmer waren herrvorragend, genau wie auf den Fotos. Die Klimaanlage war von guter Qualität, leise und angenehm. Wir hatten als Familie, die ganze Unterkunft ( inkl. Küche) und den wunderschönen Infinity Pool für uns allein, worüber die Kinder sich freuten. Die Aussenanlagen waren noch nicht ganz fertig und es sah noch ein bischen rummelig aus. Deswegen haben wir unseren Blick auf die traumhafte Aussicht rund um das Weingut gelenkt. Ich glaube, dass ist schon eine Seltenheit und für den Preis kaum zu finden. Die Pfaue, wie auf den Bildern, gibt es wirklich und können schon ziemlich laut schreien. Es gehen vom Gut wunderschöne Wander- und Mountainbikewege ab und wenn man etwas unternehmen möchte, gibt es in der Nähe wunderschöne kleine Orte, Wochenmärkte oder die schöne Stadt Aix- en- Provence, die ich aufgrund der vielen kleinen individuellen Geschäfte und der Architektur sehr mochte. Die Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und offen. Alles in allem war es wohl einer unserer besten Urlaube, besonders wegen der Ruhe und dass es keine anderen Gäste gab, auf die man Rücksicht nehmen musste, wir konnten uns einfach frei bewegen, ab vom Rummel. Also besonders für Ruhe- und Erholungssuchende sehr zu empfehlen.
