Stunning Country Farm House between Bristol & Bath
Lydes Farm is a Stunning 6 bedroom Farm House with private hot tub set in 6 acres of countryside between Bristol & Bath where you take long walks through the woods and soak in views of Chew Valley lake or simply relax on the sun terrace and take in the country air whilst the kids play in the beautiful gardens
On arrival you'll enter via a breath-taking entrance which leads you up the 200-yard driveway which is lined with overhanging Hornbeam & Lime trees all the way to the front of the property
Lydes Farm is an experience like no other and the perfect getaway for family and friends to enjoy. Whether it's relaxing on the sun terrace, playing in the large gardens or exploring the grounds there really is something for everyone. Having recently undergone a stunning makeover, the house oozes class whilst retaining all of its period features.
The master suite boasts a queen size 4 poster bed, large en-suite and a generous dressing room with a Juliet balcony overlooking the grounds. There’s a second bedroom with en-suite, a further 3 double bedrooms, large main bathroom with a shower and roll-top bath. Downstairs there’s a 6th double bedroom.
On the ground floor there’s a large reception hall which leads onto a massive living room with access to a spectacular Mediterranean terrace, a cosy sitting room and an open plan kitchen and breakfast room accessed via a grand dining room. The Mediterranean terrace is planted with fig trees, bamboo and a lovely olive tree, surrounding a feature lily pond - the perfect place relaxing.
The kitchen leads out onto another beautiful breakfast terrace via bi-fold doors, from where you can overlook the pristine gardens which house the cutest Wendy house for the little ones.
At the back of the garden in the trees, there is a decking area with a bar, fire pit and tables and chairs for you to use.
There are 2 travel cots and 2 high chairs at the property, if you need travel cot bedding please let us know and we will provide this for you.
The car port at the top of the drive can house 5 vehicles and there is ample space for several more cars on the driveway. There’s also a full size table tennis table for you to enjoy!
Lydes Farm is a spacious property with ample space for friends and Family!

-Children should be supervised at all times.
-Please note that there is an uncovered pond in the garden.
-No pets upstairs. Strictly no smoking inside the house.
-Late check out and early check in is available on request where possible. Fees apply to cover cleaners cost.
-The Aga cooker is on from October-February, if guests staying outside of these months wish to use it please just ask and we will be happy to turn it on for you. There is also an electric oven to use.
-Strictly no smoking within the property - additional fees will be charged if evidence of smoking is found.

Positioned just 9 miles from the centre of Bristol and 11 miles from the centre of Bath. This glorious property is perfectly situated for any trip to the west country.
We are situated right next door to Folly farm wedding and events venue making it an ideal choice for wedding parties and guests alike to enjoy a luxury stay before or after the big day!
There are a number of beautiful country pubs just a stones throw away including the michelin star winning pony and trap just 1.3 miles away.
Chew valley lake is a must visit and is less than 2 miles away. You can enjoy award winning fish and chips at salt and malt on the side of the lake or enjoy some afternoon drinks at Woodford lodge whilst taking in the stunning scenery overlooking the lake from on top of the bank
Avon Wildlife Trust activities held by the Folly Farm Centre
-Simple wonders
Reconnect your team with nature and each other, through the simple pleasure of pond dipping and minibeast hunting. Learn and bond as a team as you discover the rare, strange and beautiful species living in the Folly Farm ponds and woods, with the support of a wildlife expert from Avon Wildlife Trust. Enjoy playing lighthearted team games, including ‘bat & moth’, where a blindfolded colleague must think like a bat in order to catch their prey. All participants will leave with a nature spotter guide, to continue their nature discoveries at home.
£40. 2 hours. Minimum 8. March – October. Suggested maximum: 30
-Mindfulness in nature
Help your team to shed recent stresses with our unique nature mindfulness session. Led by Avon Wildlife Trust’s experienced staff, participants will take part in gentle stretch and relaxing exercises, before immersing themselves in calming nature mindfulness activities in Folly Farm’s tranquil woodland. Your team will emerge energised and refocused, ready to face the challenges your business faces together.
£25. 1 hour. Minimum 10. Suggested maximum: 15
-Bushcraft and survival
Resilience, communication and creativity are all needed if your team are going to survive deep in the Folly Farm woods. Led by Avon Wildlife Trust’s nature experts, participants must work against the clock to build a shelter, light a fire, cook bread, and protect themselves from intruders. This activity can be run as a competitive or as a collaborative exercise.
£50. Half day. Minimum 8. Suggested maximum: 20
-Team game challenges
Rebuild team bonds, get creative and pull together to complete a series of fun outdoor team challenges. Participants will be challenged to make themselves invisible, build a water collector, create a nature art masterpiece, and complete a photo challenge.
